My mom has been there several years refuses to leave to live with my sister or I she loves the staff which can be revolving at times but at the end of the say it the care and concern entire staff shows not only the residents but following up with families there have been a couple minor concerns such as notifying families of different things but at the same time when staff changes so does care for responsibilities I am not bothered by that because even living at home you couldn't remember everything the staff are human nobody's perfect .The staff has always been the most respectful and friendly to mom as well as family. I've sat back and observed several times always attentive to residents no matter what was going .The health and safety as well as happiness has always been top priority .I am proud and relieved to have her there and content knowing this will probably be the last place she calls home .She's been there since Lou was Ex Director remember nobody's going to be exactly flawless but the haven proven to do the best they can and if something is wrong every quick to fix it Partial to Lou the current EX Director is the most hard working compassionate and genuine concern for entire family and facility KEEP HER

Slow response to calls for help. They have too many residents compared to staff. The director, John, (I don't know if he is still there) played dodgeball any time families called him.

This place looked to be a haven of calm and serenity.but I did see a few flaws in the courtyard rooms. The residents were apparently happy and ambulatory.. however all that glitters is not gold. Big John the maintenance man was very knowledgeable of his craft. I am planning to move to Brooksd ale soon. The staff there is amazing. They take so good care of my mom. We were sad when mom had to be in a rehab. But the good news is she so much better and she gets to return back to Brookdale. Steve the director truly cares for his patience and staff. We are so blessed that we are able to have mom in a safe environment with people who cares.

My 102-year-old mother is still alive and well at Brookdale, thanks to the heroic efforts of Executive Director Steve Wickline and his incredible, caring staff during this terrible year. What they have accomplished is nothing short of a miracle. Without even the legal tools to enforce lockdown recommendations, they have nevertheless managed to keep their residents safe and secure and loved while COVID was raging everywhere else. Families were kept advised of the small handful of cases that did occur, and each case was promptly addressed to keep the facility safe. There’s too little space to recount the extra efforts and the many kindnesses shown to residents and their families who were always calling or showing up at the door with packages and supplies. Suffice it to say that residents and their families are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel, and that light would have gone out permanently if not for what Brookdale has accomplished.

Mom has been there twice Lou was great but through the changes in staff and mgmt- I must say the current ED Steve is the best decision Brookdale Fed Way has ever made - Receptionist Bing is amazing Dawn and Christina are great there are to many to mention - they have always followed through on every question or concerns- memory loss is hard on the resident but harder on the family that just doesn't understand. They go above and beyond to ease the frustrating circumstances- kitchen staff and caregivers are great especially Shannon . This year being the hardest I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE TO KITCHEN STAFF AND ALL STAFF FOR THE BEAUTIFUL THANKSGIVING MEAL that was served mom was so happy and with not being able to see her well it made it a little easier so THANK YOU TO ALL AT BROOKDALE FEDERAL WAY SINCERELY KELLY GLEASON ( SUE GLEASON) ##285
