We absolutely love Brookdale Destin. I was not prepared to. Honestly it’s further than I want to drive on a near daily basis, but thinking of my other siblings I thought it was the best location. And every apartment has a screened in balcony or porch which my momma just adores! She has honestly spent entire days out there. The staff are so wonderful here at Brookdale that they feel more like family. We love each and everyone of them. Not only that but the other residents are also very warm and welcoming. It has been a real pleasure getting to know each of them. It truly feels like a big ol’ family just wrapping its arms around you and welcoming you home.

My mother has called Brookdale home for the last 8 years . She still to this day asks me how I found such a perfect place for! She has made so many friends and always looks forward to mix and mingle on Fridays .... as well as other social gatherings . What I will say with the pandemic ... I have never once worried about her care .... I totally depended on Brookdale employees and they never let me down . I know most all of them by name ... because for the last 8 years they too have been a big part of my life as well . They have always been there for my mom ...... 24-7.

My parents were there for a month in Clare Bridge, the memory unit. They were treated rudely and with disrespect. If you care about your parent and want the best care for them, don't use this facility. They are not caring or considerate.

I manage a senior only moving company and Brookdale in Destin has to be one of the easiest and smoothest places to move someone into. The entire staff is friendly and supportive. Elliott Bray was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable person to talk to in the facility. Any one that has to move a family member into one of these facilities should definitely choose Brookdale in Destin. Their family will thank them for making that choice.

I have been partnering inside this Community for four years now. The administrator is extremely involved with all of her residents. The staff is very seasoned and clinically strong. They treat the residents that live here just like their own family. The community is very clean and well equipped. It’s located in the beautiful Sandestin community and the Hospital is just a couple miles down the road.

My Step Father was in assisted living at Brookdale for about a year and a half. The care was more that we expected with great ,friendly and competent staff that truly cared for the residences. Would highly recommend.

I work closely with Brookdale as we get a lot of their residents for inpatient rehab when needed. The Brookdale staff is always quick to follow up on how their residents are doing and they come by to check on them and make sure that we are aware of their plan of care. It’s nice to have a community that cares about their residents and wants the best for them. It’s not only a beautiful facility, but they have a compassion team! When it comes time for my parents to need an ALF, Brookdale will be at the top of my list!

I have been a resident of Brookdale Destin for a little over 2 years. I am the youngest resident and am here because of multiple fractures related to osteoporosis. I am a retired nurse and I know what it means to give and receive compassionate care. I have been the recipient of that compassionate care from all the staff at Brookdale Destin. I have interacted with Administrative Personnel, Nurses, Personal Care Givers, Cleaning Staff, Maintenance Staff,and Food Service. All are very hard, conscientious workers but, more than that they have been like family to me. I would recommend Brookdale Destin to any family members looking for a caring place for their loved ones.

Food is Not Good Have a close friend living at Brookdale-Destin. Not very clean due to lack of good housekeeping. Food choices are very limited and leaves a lot to be desired as to taste and we it is presented.
