Although my mom’s time at Windchime was relatively short, I was so impressed by management and the staff. Jenn and Heather were awesome to work with and demonstrated genuine care for residents and family members. My mom did not want to go into an ALF, but ended up developing close relationships with the support staff and opened up to them in ways she did not with her own family. Although their jobs are incredibly challenging, they gave mom individual attention and were a constant positive source of encouragement to me and my mom. I think my mom wore out the call pendant batteries so many times over six months that I lost count but the staff was always responsive. I would walk in after mom pressed the button and asked her what she needed and mom said nothing really.she just wanted to find out what am was going on today and chat it up with the staff :-). I told mom she needed to stop wearing out the call pendant because if she ever did have an emergency they might not respond quickly, but the staff was always there to lend a listening ear, cheer her up or provide needed assistance. I would call my mom high maintenance and Windchime more than stepped up to the plate to take care of her during her final months. Also, management took the time to provide needed counsel and hold my hand through the process. I had prayed for good counsel and Windchime provided just that. I think I have a friend for life in Heather as she was always available to listen and provided good counsel. Finally I would say you should have no concerns about putting your faith and confidence in Windchime in meeting the needs of a loved one. It’s like a family there and the care is evident. They have a tough job. I saw staff take the time to be delicate in helping many people who were not having their best day if you know what I mean. If the staff was frustrated, I didn’t see it. During mom’s last days, the staff rallied around my mom and were just awesome. If I had it to do all over again, I don’t know that I could have made a better choice than Windchime.

I put my mom in Windchime after a bad fall. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Mom was extremely reluctant to go into an ALF. It didn’t take her long though to develop a great relationship with the staff. What an amazing group ! Heather and Jenn were awesome to work with and encouraged my mom to get involved. Mom came to know them all and developed a close knit relationship. As a son, you want to know your mom is taken care of. It didn’t take me long to develop a strong comfort level with everyone there. They are friendly and know you on a first name basis. They are accommodative to the needs of each resident. Unfortunately my mom’s stay was cut short but in that short time she made some close relationships and opened up to them. I’m blessed to get to know them and they blessed my mom for sure. You’ll have no concerns that your loved one is in good hands.

It seems we are never prepared for the moment we realize help is needed to best care for our resilient Parent(s). When I found myself having to search for an assisted living facility for my mother-in-law, I knew it wasnt going to be easy. Of course we wanted the Best place available, yet we also wanted one that was close to my wife and I. When comparing the list of assisted living facilities in the hill contry area, I was amazed to read so many positive reviews for Windchime at the Village. What stood out most were the praises on the Staff at Windchime and how so much care, dignity and kindness had been shown and received in the care of their loved ones. When I called Windchime, I was propted to Marketing (faciltaing new residents) and waited to leave a message. I was caught by surprise when I heard a welcoming voice thanking me for calling Windchime and asking how she can help me. I started to explain our situation to Heather (the welcoming voice) and by the end of the conversation we had set up an appointment and I felt thankful that my wife and I were not alone in going through this new chapter in life. Our mother has been a resident/family member at Winchime for about 3 months now. She has a beautiful room, delicious meals, wonderful freinds...and a team of caring staff for support. I must say, Heather did not only made sure our mom was cared for, she also made sure we were OK. Heather was there every step of the way providing her knowledge, her professionalism and her Kindness. Thank you Heather for your commitment to caring for the people around you and for making a difference in our family. With so many other staff that go above and beyond the call of duty at Windchime, I feel I need to also acknowledge Jack who workes evening shift. There have been many incidences where I have been both a witness and the recipient of Jacks "Joy of Life" attitude and kindness. Jack, you have a heart a gold and a contagious smile. You make a difference. Thank you Windchime for your commitment to provide excellent care and excellent housing (the remodel to the facility is beautiful). Also, I would like to add that the partnered Doctors and Doctors staff that see clients at Windchime are amazing as well. My wife and I are grateful for the care and support Windchime has provided to all my family. Thank you!

Windchime was a God send for us in a very difficult transitional time for my Mom. We did not realize, initially, that we were not equipped to give her what she needed in that moment. We met with Heather and explained our situation. She too has been a God send for us as we had hard decisions to make and with her help, we were able to navigate things much easier. Mom has been there since late September. The staff has been great with her and she has made friends and thrived both socially and medically. We are hopeful that she might be able to move over to an apartment soon and live more independently. Heather has been amazing at providing ideas, options and information so we can do what is best for my Mom. Heather works tirelessly to juggle facility issues, resident issues, literal "fire drills", and the list just goes on. I have no idea where she gets the energy, tenacity and kindness to do what she does, but she is an amazing woman and we appreciate her so much!

Such an amazing place for loved ones. After we knew we had to have assisted living for our mom we toured several places. Windchime was so welcoming and caring. The choice was obvious. Our mom has been a resident for almost a year and a few employees always stand out. Linda Kay in house keeping is always so sweet and caring. Most days she washes everything again with a smile on her face, a positive attitude, and a kind word. Jen up front is always available to answer all of my many questions and suggest ways to help my mom. Heather has been a rock for my mom since day one. She always takes time to see my mom and give her a hug. What a blessing to have Heather now up front and loving the staff, residents and families the way she does. She’s always available to answer questions and give me much needed support. If anyone is looking for a loving, caring place with amazing staff, Windchime is a must! Windchime is an exceptional nursing home facility with a truly outstanding staff. My mother stayed there for a short-term respite stay, and the entire experience was wonderful. The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. My mother genuinely enjoyed her time there. She especially loved the food, which was a big plus! What really stood out was the wide variety of activities they offer and there was never a dull moment. From social events to creative programs, there was always something engaging to do. In fact, my mother made lifelong friends during her stay, and they remain close to this day. Jennifer and Heather, the directors at Windchime, are incredibly kind and attentive. I hold them in the highest regard and really respect the extra mile they go to take care of the residents with kindness and love. They took excellent care of my mom, and it was clear that all the residents were happy and well-cared for. The compassionate and professional environment put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Windchime to anyone seeking a nurturing, vibrant, and high-quality care facility for their loved ones.

They have helped her make new friends and really take an interest in her wellbeing! They have daily activities for the residents and communicate with us when she has needs. They have a salon on site so she can have her hair done, this really helps boost her spirits. So happy we chose Windchime for her new home!

We found Windchime while looking at assisted living for my mother. She lived at Windchime for approximately 5 months before she passed. Everyone...and I mean everyone was such a blessing and provided not only care but a caring nature for their guests. At one point my mother needed attention during the night and the facility director came and sat with her until 4:30 in the morning. That was something that I would have never expected especially since we live only 20 minutes away. From out initial meetings with Connie to the daily interaction with Jen (facility director) we couldn't have asked for a better place for my mom to live. The care staff continually ensure that the guests needs are met and take the time to know their needs individually. If you live in the Kingsland area and are looking for assisted living Windchime is not only one of the most affordable but also, from our experience, one of the most nurturing places you can live.

I had moved my aunt from another facility in the area a few months ago to Windchime. The level of care we are receiving here is outstanding. The rooms are kept clean and the food is amazing!! The staff is very kind and supportive. I wish I had made the change earlier. I was afraid the transition would be hard on her. However, the staff made sure to make her feel welcome, safe and at home.

Our Mom moved into the community about a month ago. Connie has been excellent with her contribution to a softer land through the entire moving process. Bonnie and Annette are kind, quick to respond, and encourage communication. The kitchen staff is also VERY caring and hardworking-they take pride in what they do; they even ask me for meal ideas that my mom would like. Yesterday, I helped engage my mom in a shuffleboard tournament. MaryLou, the activities director, is all you could want for someone in that position-her kindness, patience, encouragement, and understanding is evident in all her interactions with everyone around her.
