Sunrise rose above and beyond my expectations! The staff is very friendly and familiar with their residents and the families They address everyone by their names and they exhibit genuine concern for the residents. Staff members are happy to help, they smile, and they are very kind to the residents and the families. My mother showed a HUGE improvement in her memory and health within the first week. Her medications got sorted out and were given to her the way they are prescribed and on schedule. She is getting meals that look appetizing and healthy and they are there for them on time. This facility is bright and very clean and the employees smile and are happy to tend to the resident's needs at any time.

Sunrise of Sandy has been amazing in caring for my dad. Every care worker takes the time to get to know him. They laugh and tease with him and make him feel so loved. They also take care of my brothers and me as well with making us feel welcome and valued. They are wonderful to communicate with us on any changes, worries or things that we can do to help him. They celebrate holidays, entertain with activities and make life as meaningful and fun as possible for their residents. The facility is beautiful but that wouldn't even matter if the people weren't warm and professional. They make a difficult time in life as good as it can possibly be. Reasons why we chose Sunrise for Dad. 1) We loved the architecture, and the centralized layout. 2) We loved the landscaping. 3) We liked the people, and how it was managed. 4) My brother said he wanted the best place for him to live in which the cost is not the primary concern. Sunrise was not the most expensive place we looked at although it was generally very good. 5) The ratio nurses and the care givers to residents is good. There are many other places that are significantly understaffed. 5) The quality of the care residents receive seems to be good. 6) Sunrise of Sandy that I just read had generally positive reviews, mostly 5 out of five stars although there was one very negative review from a disgruntled individual. 7) Now in retrospect after my father has lived there for the last 18 months I absolutely agree with the five star positive reviews.

I recently moved my Mom up from Southern California. I made multiple appointment with all the local Senior Living communities. After weeks of tours, I was most impressed with Sunrise of Sandy. What I liked most and help with my decision was the staff. They were genuinely interested in both mine and my Moms needs. They didnt spend a lot of time on the amount of activities that are available to the residents, or how great the food and other amenities are. They instead focused on the care that will be needed for my Mom. I really appreciated that. Not to say that those other things are not important, but they were not on the top of my list. Another thing that they did that I loved was during my tour and subsequent visits, they introduced me to many of their current residents. I was able to ask them what they like about Sunrise. All of them mentioned in one way or another that they loved the staff. I thought that was really great that I had a chance to talk with those that live there and know Sunrise the best. I would highly recommend Sunrise in Sandy. It has turned out to be everything we wanted for my aging Mother. The longer she has been there the more they know her every need. It truly feels like a family.

We are just thrilled for Mom. Moved her there from another home and everything is tall cotton as they say in the south. She is busy, and in a beautiful environment with everyday opportunities to enjoy the mountain view and outside in the beautiful gardens. She is so well taken care of by a loving staff. Five stars are not enough to express my feelings about Sunrise of Sandy. My loved one was in the memory unit for over five years back in 2015. I was impressed with the quality of care and the feeling of family there. Staff always showed respect and love towards residents, even those that became behavioral challenges. Not only did the residents express love and appreciation towards staff, the care providers demonstrated love back with hugs, pats, jokes, and general interest. When my loved one finally passed from her dementia, I knew she would be missed there at Sunrise.

My father-in-law recently transitioned from an independent senior living community to assisted living at Sunrise, due to advancement of his dementia symptoms. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and the facility in general. They are genuinely caring...as a Lead Care Manager, said to me when I was talking to her upon move-in, This is their home and we (the staff) are guests. It really shows in the compassionate way that they interact with the residents, no matter what the situation. I am so grateful for this facility overall, but especially for the great staff. In the last three years, I have watched three of my parents- parents-in-law pass away. One passed away at home, one in the hospital, and one, my mother, passed away at Sunrise. My mothers passing away was the most special. She was able to be surrounded by family with the support from the caregivers at Sunrise. She was living in the Alzheimers unit when she passed. The caregivers from Sunrise and Inspiration Hospice were wonderful. They all loved her, and helped us to know how to help her as she was passing. We are indebted to their kindness and love for her. My father now lives in the assisted living side of Sunrise as he goes through the last stages of his life. He is also experiencing the love and care from the Sunrise staff and Inspiration Hospice. He eats his meals in the homey and comfortable dining room with the other residents that we now call friends. The food is always good, and there are nice touches like linen table cloths and fine furnishings. They have a great activities director that is planning parties and activities to make their lives enjoyable. The men and women that have helped my dad get ready for bed or bring him his medicine all truly care about him. If ever I have had a concern, I have been welcome to talk to the manager or head nurse and things have been taken care of. If you are trying to find a place for your loved one to live, I would highly recommend Sunrise of Sandy.

Words cannot describe my gratitude for Sunrise of Sandy. My Dad was a resident in the reminiscence unit at Sunrise of Sandy for about 4 years before he passed away in May. Everyone at Sunrise is like family to us. They went above and beyond to take care of my Dad in every way possible and me too! They genuinely loved my Dad...I have no doubt! I learned so much from Sunrise about how to interact with my Dad as his dementia progressed. The staff at Sunrise are very knowledgeable and so loving!! My Dad was a businessman till the very end and they knew just how to engage him and keep him happy. They set him up a desk with files and they would discuss business deals with him for hours. He made up names for all of them and they stuck for years. There are no words to describe how amazing they were to my Dad. This is a very difficult time with the pandemic, but Sunrise kept my Dad safe and happy through all of it. When my Dad was passing, due to his dementia, Sunrise along with Silverado Hospice, were so helpful and loving. Sunrise of Sandy is the best!!!

My mom lived at Sunrise of Sandy for about eight years, first in assisted living, and then the last two years in their memory care. I had looked at several other assisted living homes, but I knew the moment I walked through the door at Sunrise that it was the place for my mom. It was warm and inviting, and I loved the overall appearance. It didn't feel too "high-class", which was important for my mom, who was a "farm girl" at heart. During my tour I noticed a variety of residents, and how they were out of their rooms, enjoying the activity of the hour. The home was clean, the staff was friendly, and I recall that dinner was in the works of being prepared, and it smelled wonderful! I loved how they had such a beautiful dining room, complete with menus, always offering a few different choices from the daily offerings. When my mom first moved in, she was a little reluctant to get involved with activities, but with the encouragement from the staff, she was soon enjoying herself with others during activities. She was more comfortable dining with the same group of people, and the staff accommodated that very well. Within her first year there, I noticed the overall change in her health and happiness. The staff at Sunrise gave my mother the best love and care possible! She had purpose for getting up every morning! And she had dignity, right to the end. My family and I thought of the staff at Sunrise as "extended family", as they were just like family to my mom. Moving my mom to Sunrise of Sandy was the best decision I have ever made!
