hi first thing i want to inturduce myself jimmie harrington there is a lot of staff members here that dose nt get the well desered recongniton there are a fue of the staff members that hav made life here very much easier i have had opportunity to see just how these people here are the residentshere are being treated well and the care givers here are doing very awesome job . i belive that there are many residents here that would agree with me that some of the aids here need to be recongnize for all there hard work in taking time to make the resedents comfortable the nursing staff mostly are doing a very good job there is just one of the nuring staff member that i belive that need to up his services there is five aids that work very hardi can name them in time i would to know if their is any way for H P to tunistic recongnize the importan staff that is making a big difference thank you for allowing me give my opinion i have been here over two months now andthe health care i have been getting is very good i just wished i could show this staff more appreciation i tell them thank you all the time if the management would acknowledge them would be a great thing for this staff ok now please take and thank you jimmie harrington

I have spent 3 or more months here on 2 different occasions in 2025. I had my 1at severe stroke bat 39 and unfortunately have had to spend time in many nursing homes in ft Wayne in the last 22 years I have gotten very good physical rehab at most of them. they seem to allo be short staffed. nurses and aids. at heritage park most days they only have 1 aid for several halls maybe 30-40 patients some are very good and do an acceptable job, but too many have a poor work ethic and/or are lazy and do a very poor job. the nurswa are spread thin as well usually too many patients to do an acceptional job in a timely manner. and very few good, hard-working nurses. the food is very poor and mostly massive amounts of sugar and carbs, not enough vegetables or good, healthy food for all, diabetics and rest

We called the main phone line this evening for assistance to check in on our Grandma. Elizabeth cheerfully answered, and offered to visit our Grandma’s room. It was so nice hearing our Grandma laugh, and have a moment of independence calling us from her own room phone. Thank you so much, Elizabeth!

A Trip to the Twilight Zone. I was staying at Heritage Park for rehab after an extended hospital stay with COVID. For my first night at Heritage Park, I wondered why Nathan was so insistent that I sleep in a surgical gown with nothing underneath. When I woke the next morning, I found that I was wearing a diaper! I am a light sleeper. I had been over drugged on Ambien, and while I slept, one or more persons had managed to put a diaper on me! I have never been incontinent, nor did anyone at Heritage Park have any reason to believe that I had ever been or would ever be incontinent. The staff at Heritage Park seemed to have a neurosis about bed wetters, and any man in his sixties was fair game. This was the second of their neuroses. The first was about falls. One of the precautions went so far as to forbid me from even being able to extend a hand or a foot outside my bed's perimeters. Other safety precautions resulted in forcing me to suffer humiliation and indignities that I will never forget, such as having to use a bed pan because they wouldn't let me use a toilet. Another odd thing about Heritage Park was that some of their staff of helpers seemed to be transgender. When I thanked what I thought was a man for his services, he said in reply, "Sir, I am a WOMAN!" Startled, I apologized profusely and explained that I never did understand about being WOKE. Well, he/she was so delighted with my apology that she fairly skipped out of the room! I was at Heritage Park twice, and both times there was the same man wearing heavy mascara wandering the halls muttering and singing loudly to himself. Once, he came into my apartment and berated me verbally. He was clearly insane. With those hardwood floors, the sound would reverberate up and down the halls. The food was reasonably good, but in true nursing home fashion, there were virtually no food choices whatsoever and worse, there wasn't nearly enough food. The portion sizes would be more suitable to an eight-year-old child. I lost several pounds on my first stay. Each room has a very small, dorm-size refrigerator. I advise you to stock it, because you will be starving by the end of the day. The only reason I gave this review two stars instead of one is because Adrienne and Carrie lead a fine team of physical/occupational therapists. Unfortunately, the negative there is that everything is platformed for the extremely weak and out of shape. No one ever does a single push up or sit up. When I used a 5 lb. weight, that was considered the maximum. Free-standing squats never exceeded twenty. No practice was ever given for getting down on the floor and then getting back up again. After your stay at Heritage Park, you will still be like that woman in the commercial calling for help because she has fallen and can't get back up again. In addition, by being excessively careful, the therapist named Jay did me more harm than good. Heritage Park also messed up my medicines. I had brought them several expensive testosterone patches, but they didn't give them to me. They also mixed up my laundry with someone else's. The shower is down the hall. The shower floor is so slippery that I fell. The CNA was disturbed and said I was her second shower fall that day. Most therapists don't work on weekends and you will be abandoned. My mother has lived in the assisted living community for 7 years. During this time, she has received incredible care and enjoyed a wonderful quality of life. The staff are friendly and welcoming which makes for one big happy family experience.

My father is in Heritage park for almost two years. And l am really happy they do take care of my father good. Every one is friendly there.If you have any complaints they really take care of the issue.So by now l can say only good stuff about Heritage Park. I feel that my dad is safe in there because He been before in majestic care for 8 months and they are horrible l would never put there not even my cat.

They took great care of my grandmother while she was there! Awesome therapy program and the nurse that cared for her was amazing. The social worker helped my family through the whole process also. Very grateful for them! Could use more staff but that’s the case everywhere.

I've only been here for a few days. I am staying her for speech/physical & occupational therapy. They are great with keeping up with my meds.but housekeeping isn't doing well. I don't get drinks with my meals.

As owner of a DJ company, I have had the opportunity to entertain here several times and have witnessed a caring staff interact with the residents. Sherry, their activity director and Jane King are always planning fun activities. Would be my first choice for a loved one!
