We are very pleased with the Country House. Mom is a recent new resident. The staff and residents have been very welcoming and accommodating to her (and us) during this time of adjustment. Sean Culhane was fantastic in offering a couple of orientation-style visits for Mom. He was also very reassuring to my wife and I as we were extremely nervous about the transition. Sean put our anxieties at ease with his experience and confidence.

Tha staff is excellent, the meals are good and well-balanced and prepared appropriately for older people. The place is very clean. The driver I see, I think his name is Stephen, is very kind and patient with his passengers, and has a good sense of humor. My Grandmother says she likes to get out with him, just to go for a ride, and he always accomodates her. The staff here really cares about their residents.

Every single person who is part of this caring community is TOP NOTCH! All of the employees, including the dining & maintenance staff, are well acquainted with all of the residents preferences and needs. This truly is a family community! The care and attention that our dad needed were more then met - excellent! Dad loved living here and you all provided our entire family with peace of mind knowing that he was well cared for by truly compassionate and professional people. Thank you for everything!

For my mom, who does not yet require the medical services of a nursing home or skilled nursing facility, The Country House is perfect in every way!
June 2021
My dad is currently a resident here, and i couldnt say enough good things about this place. although he was initially hesitant to come, he thoroughly enjoys his new home. He is 91 years old and independent but was missing the socialization and delicious food that this facility offers. I would highly recommend the Country House to anyone searching for a small caring community filled with kind workers and compassionate souls.

I am a fairly new employee here at the Country House, and let me just say this is a GREAT place to work. The people that work here are delightful and are always ready to help you. The residents here are very nice and courteous. The atmosphere of the Country House is very warm and welcoming. Working at the Country House is a joy.

If youre looking for a great retirement home with caring, helpful staff, Country house is the place. My grandpa has been here for quite a long time now and he honestly loves it!! Hes usually difficult to work with, but the staff treats him as family. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming environment in a retiring home.

Greetings,My 94 year old blind mother moved to the Country House last Saturday from a month of rehab from a fall at a local nursing home. The nursing home was a nightmare. Carol and the staff at the Country House were so caring and helpful. Carol expedited transition particulars and handled every thing. My mother is well cared for by professionals with great attitudes and who really know how to care for others. Lively pleasant place. BTW food is great *

After my mom passed away, my dad was left alone rambling around in a too big house. It took us some time but we finally convinced him to try an assisted living arrangement. After much research we settled on The Country House. This was the best decision we ever made! Suddenly dad was surrounded by other residents he could share memories and experiences with; no longer isolated with his old memories. The activities were a godsend; the rooms were clean and attractively decorated. The meals were great. While living alone dad wasnt eating much or well. He has since regained some of the weight he lost while alone. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. Perhaps most important is the fact that the staff is kind, compassionate, and considerate. We know dad is well cared for and happy. Great job everyone!

If they can manage my mom, they can manage anyone. no exaggeration. I sometimes wonder if my moms even human. She is that difficult. But the folks here see my mom as perfect. Country House has been an absolute blessing. Having to convince a senior parent that their health needs exceed what your childrens capability can provide, well, its an awful topic with lots of tears. The staff made this transition much easier and honestly, I after a few months, I have truly not seen my mom this happy since before my dad passed away. My brother works for the office of the aging and he said County House is the place to go. You cant put a price on care for your loved one. Especially for one that does not come wrapped in a neat little package. I am forever grateful for all of their service.

My 101 year old mother has been a resident of The Country House for almost a year now and she and all of my family couldnt be more pleased with the warm, kind, attentive and respectful care that she has been given. Everyone, the Director, reception, nurses, social worker, aides, maintenance, et al., everyone, has been extraordinary and I couldnt think of a better or more caring place for her to be.

The Country House is wonderful. I had experience with three other assisted living facilities with my family members. The Country House is definitely the best! Kudos to the staff who are always Smiling, interacting and welcoming everyone. So very impressed with the loving care given to residents. This is so important as most people who move to assisted living are reluctant to ask for help. The people working here make it clear that not only is it their job but, theyre pleased to meet their needs The food is very good! Meals are varied and there is always alternative items I love the Huge family room where there is always something going on for entertainment**

My 97 year old dad has been living at the Country House for over 2 years. He has adjusted well to being there and overall is very comfortable and loves interacting with other residents and talking with the staff. He tries very hard to remember everyones name and greets anyone he passes. The past year he has required more individual help due to several falls and aging but with the help he gets from the staff, which he appreciates very much, he tries hard to exercise and do more for himself. He really looks forward to the weekly VA meetings and enjoys the topics of conversation. We, the family dont live close by and depend on the staff to take care of our dad and the communication line is always open both ways which is a big help. The Country House is a warm and comfortable place and not too big which is nice.

I moved my father from Atria, Briarcliff to the Country House where he lived the last year and a half of his life. There was no comparison-the care that he received from the Country House was far superior to that of Atria. The commitment of both the professional staff and the aides was unparalleled. Everyone treated my dad with respect and dignity and they treated our family with compassion and care. The daily activities and the special events were wonderful and there was always a lot of participation and encouragement. I would highly recommend the Country House to anyone looking for an environment where a loved one will be safe and valued.
April 2020
Unfortunately my dad did not qualify financially to be in the facility, but speaking with the staff on the phone, specifically Carole, was beyond heart warming. They listened when they didnt have to, they offered support in finding facilities that could potentially accommodate my father, and just went above and beyond over a phone call. Thank you!!! If they went the distance on a phone call, I can only imagine how amazing the place really must be.

Hello. I dont like working at The Country House, I LOVE IT!!! It feels like home to me in so many ways. We have a great team of Directors, we are growing together, stronger and better, every day. I left a stable job of 5 years to come work here full-time just 4 months ago. Halina McLean, Executive Director-Administrator is well versed in being our leader. I now feel fully part of a fantastic team and staff! The residents are great!!! It brings much happiness in my heart to care for them, spend time with them, console them, laugh and cry with them, dance, sing and well be their Wellness Director. It is clean building, the food is great (they feed the staff too), we laugh and joke with residents because we are all one family. When we need to be serious we are...it is a fun place to work. Music always playing and great recreation programs. I have even stayed late on a Friday on my time enjoying a special musical recreation program in the lobby! Dont be fooled by the buildings age...it it decorated appropriately for the age group of residents and for a building that is almost my age...it is pretty good!!! We also continue to make improvements on a daily basis. Great physical access to the apartments, all one level and the staff is top notch! Come see the facility home to live OR work. We are always available for tours and interviews. We would love new members in our family!!! ❤ ⭐

Wanted to publicly thank the staff of Country House for taking such good care of my wifes dad for a week. The staff was very warm , caring and understanding as he is 85 and set in his ways. We felt very comfortable leaving him there, knowing he was in good hands.

I have played the piano here for the residents for a number of years, usually twice a month on Fridays for wine and cheese. I play the good old standards that we both love, They are always smiling, always engaged and always very responsive and complimentary. They sing along and make very interesting requests. One spring a resident asked if I knew any songs about birds, a very appropriate request for spring. After playing Bye Bye Blackbird and Skylark, I tried When The Red, Red Robin for the first time. I became so enamored of it that I worked up an arrangement and play it all the time. So, thanks to them, I learn new old songs all the time. I always have fun coming here.
