As nursing homes go, West Side Campus of Care (WSCofC) has been the friendliest, cleanest, and nicest. My first "test" is always the smell & cleanliness level and I'm happy and grateful to say WSCofC has almost no smell. To be honest there is no avoiding smells in nursing homes. Period. So the fact there is none or almost none tells me they work hard at keeping it smelling nice. That means they're working hard to keep it clean, too. The people that work there have always been very gracious & helpful. My brother is being well taken care of and is safe. The patients there have a social common room, dinning area, patio and they get around & get to know each other a bit, so it feels like & seems to be a nice community. My brother has been there 3 months so far and has reported the people there are taking care of him and are helpful & nice to him. I've been in other nursing homes over the years and this one is the better of them. Thank you, WSCofC for taking good care of my brother when we and others are not able to.

I went to visit a friend of mine this evening. Both of the receptionist that took care of me were very friendly as well as the CNA's that were taking care of my friend. They chatted with her and made her feel very comfortable.

I had a friend in Westside Campus of Care. I was the only one locally who visited and was involved in her care. All her family were in other states. Due to a mental breakdown, she was not easy to care for when she first arrived. She was always in a rage, often physically and verbally abusive to me and, I imagine, the caretakers. The medical staff were always respectful and kind to her even at her worst and I know it couldn't have been easy. It took a lot of work in the business office to get things in place so she could get Medicaid assistance. Her doctor finally got her balanced out with medication so that she was acting her normal self and it was pleasant to visit with her again. The dental team worked to correct her dental issues and hospice kept me informed on her condition during her last days. I appreciated all that everyone there did for her and would recommend them to others.

I took my dad there back in April to be admitted after he fell and broke his hip and I was no longer able to care for him. This was a first for me and devastating, everything seemed confusing and overwhelming and I cried everyday for weeks but they walked me through applying for Medicaid for my dad and helped me to understand and cope with his rapid decline. The aides there take really good care of my dad and he loves them and you can tell they truly love him too. The nurses also take great care of him. I could not ask for a more compassionate group of folks. The therapy team is outstanding. I sincerely want to thank all of the staff at Westside. It takes a special kind of person to do what they do every day. We were truly blessed to find this place.

LaQuita Thorpe is the best CNA that I have ever seen! And I have been to allot of facilities. You press the button and she is there to help with what ever your problem is. She brings clean sheets and makes your bed and if they're dirty she gets another set. She helps out in everything, she gets my roommate dressed and call for help to lift him out of bed and never hurt him once. I have seen others bump him and say sorry like that helps him while he's in pain. Quita goes above and beyond her job title and we appreciated that I just wanted to thank her and let her know we appreciated her and thanks for her support while I was there. Thank you LaQuita

My aunt was here recovering from covid, and doing dialysis. The staff there is friendly, caring and kind. The transport team was on point and so catering . The team work those 2 girls have is amazing and shows alot about a company. The way they were so patient and gentle with my aunt still has me in awe. Who does that? This place has the best food I've ever seen in a nursing facility, rehab or otherwise. As a probate lawyer for 35 years, I've been in a LOT of nursing homes for all kinds of reasons. I've been in fancy, expensive ones and ones that could barely stay open and were "not nice". This place has the best food on a consistent basis. It's reasonably clean and well kept. I know this because my mother was in West Side for over 8 years. She came in at age 90 with rehab from surgery and stayed 9 months, then went home. West Side was suggested by one of the hospital docs, so I went out there on a Sunday afternoon to see it. I thought it was pretty good, and the rehab wing where mother would be is quite good. Home three weeks, and she breaks some other bones and has more surgery. So then she's back at West Side and stayed until she passed last week. The staff was always understanding and mostly cooperative. As a chronic manic depressive, my mother could be argumentative, rude and stubborn. She was usually very sweet when on her meds. She was never as monitored on her meds-and therefore generally not depressed or manic-as she was at West Side. She got excellent care there and wouldn't have lived as long elsewhere. I know the food was good because I watched her be excited about her meals and eating them many, many times. It's not perfect-ALL nursing homes smell strongly of urine, feces or cleansers sometimes and have disturbances from other patients, plumbing problems, A/C and TV outages, etc. that can upset the patients. It's hard for any of them to keep staff. West Side isn't a new facility. But it's the best I've seen for a place to put a loved one if you're on any kind of budget. They handled Covid exceptionally well in my opinion. They were very aggressive and defensive for their patients. If she were alive, she would still be there.

With mom at dialysis, I met a young lady and I couldnt help but notice how gentle and passionate she was with her patient. I began to ask her tons of questions and was blown away with all the nice words she had to say about her nursing home she works for. I hate to even think about placing my mom in any other place than home with me, But if I must Id definitely want this quality of care. Thank you Tara for your words of comfort and for the kind soul that you are. Keep your eye and ear out for moms arrival in the future, and please keep doing what youre doing! I am currently working here, and I am impressed by the hard working team here at West campus. Everyone cares about the residents living here. Very clean environment very impressive nursing and physical therapy team. The New administrator is Awesome, Human Resources Vanessa is Great. Liz the staff coordinator is wonderful with a sweet spirit. Rosetta is one of the best Don in the world. I can say honestly that they really care about their staff. You will feel very safe placing your family member here. My husband and I chose this place for my mother in law to live, and she loves it. And my husband is very impress with this facility. Westside has come such a long way! Jackie has always been so kind. Rosina, the DON, has been helpful in answering nursing questions. The administrator is helpful and knowledgeable. It has been nice being able to build a relationship with a facility that loves their residents and the community.

I have worked with this facility for almost 2 year. I like to give credit where credit is due. The staff in this facility has a visual caring spirit. You can feel the hospitality when you walk in the place. I notice how every staff is smiling and saying hello when you walk in. The residents are smiling and saying hello as you walk through the building. I have noticed on different occasions on my visits to Westside that the residents are being entertained or enjoying a good meal, and even enjoying the nice weather on the patio. Staff are always engaged with the residents, smiling and making the best of each moment. Keep up the good work Westside. I feel everyone should know your commitment to improving lives!
