My mother has been a resident at Decatur House for almost two years. Our family is so grateful for the kind care she has received. The Covid virus has changed the way we visit but the staff continue to be responsive to both my Mothers and the family needs. We feel blessed to have found this wonderful home for our Mum.

My mother lived at Decatur House for eight years. She moved there from New York to be closer to family, and was immediately welcomed into the community. Decatur House quickly became "home" for her -- we were all so grateful to see her adjusting to assisted living, and making new friends, much faster than we thought she would. Linda, Steve, and all of the staff at Decatur House got to know her so well; they saw the "whole" person, not just the symptoms of aging. Because of them, I didn't have to worry; I could be a daughter, rather than a caretaker.

My mother was a resident for almost 2 years. She absolutely loved Decatur House, the lovely grounds and the setting in Sandwich village. The management by owner Linda Austin was superlative as were the employees. Each individual receives loving care in a homelike environment. I highly recommend this assisted-living facility

Very clean and seemed well maintained overall. Mr. Anderson and Ms. Austen gave a warm and complete presentation. The intimate number of residents is probably tailor made for long time Sandwich residents. However, our decision not to apply is based in part by our perception that Mom needs a larger community. The deposit requirement was a bit daunting as well.
