My dad has Dementia and was not in a safe, positive environment at home. A family member put me in touch with Tammy at Summerfield Suites. After talking with her and explaining the severity of his situation, she agreed to take dad in and quickly made accommodations for him to be relocated. He has went from a state of neglect and rapid decline to thriving in his new home. In just two weeks, the staff has him eating all of his three meals a day and rehydrating to the levels that he needs to be at. We have a great home health company (Accomplished Home Health) that works hand in hand with Summerfield Suites to provide physical therapy and other needed services right at the facility. Doctors from a local service visit the residents several days each week. It is awesome to not have to upend dad's days with trips to offsite locations. With this support, dad has been taken off of unneeded medication and is sitting and walking much better than before. He is getting stronger everyday and even though his mind is slipping, he is not foggy and is having daily conversations with the staff and other residents. We are so thankful for everyone at Summerfield Suites and like Tammy says " We are family here". We see this with every visit. It is a blessing for our father to be with such professional and caring people!

Let start by saying mom is 95 years old and still walking with walker but has dementia. When we put her in there they had nursing care 24/7. Let's say we had problems on numerous days we would find pills either in her bed and on floor. We report it to administration and asst administration then the nurse and it still kept happening. They only have a nurse part time during the week which stays behind closed doors with the assistant administrator and is worthless. There staffing I don't know how they meet the regulations. On the weekends it's like a ghost town you are lucky if you can find anyone to help you or answer questions. No one to help the residents down to the dinning room for meals. We have told the administrators on several occasions mom wasn't to do therapy. They went behind our backs and ask the dr to order therapy. When we went into visit mom there was a guy in the room and when we asked who he was he said therapist. We told him we had already told everyone she wasn't to do therapy. He said family signed for it and when asked who he looked and the patient that is 95 years old and has dementia is allowed to do that. No security that any one can walk her rooms and have them sign for something. There are several things that would concern you about this 1.How is this acceptable 2. where is the safety for what could happen to these residents. In the 4 years mom was there it has steadily gone down hill with numerous promising to get it corrected. We have wrote letters with these concerns and others on 2 occasions and no response from owners or administrators. Needless to say we have move mom to another facility and she is doing so much better. She has been taking her showers where staff here said she was telling them no. This isn't all the prose had most in the last year!

We had my dad at WaterCrest Buena Vista and he constantly was having challenges. We moved him to Summerfield Suites and the service, compassion, and attention from ALL of the staff has been amazing. Tammy has been a delight to work with and the entire staff has done a great job with Dad. He raves about the food. Summerfield Suites has been a God send for our family. Highly recommended!

My 96 year old mother lives comfortably and safely at SS. I could not imagine a more caring and devoted staff than the one Tammy directs there. All caregivers are so exceptional, I think they are angels in disguise. So happy Mom is at Summerfield Suites.

Nearly two years ago our family had to make the very difficult decision to place my stepfather in an assisted living facility. There are many of these types of places in the area, but most of them feel very sterile, commercial, and cold. They have lots of amenities, beautiful art in the hallways, plush furniture in the common areas...but what most of them are missing is a sense of warmth and community. After a lot of searching though, we ended up finding those things at Summerfield Suites. If you're looking for flashy facilities with tons of amenities, this place probably isn't for you. But if you want a place that feels welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like you've arrived home...then this is it. Summerfield Suites also happens to have a caring and empathetic staff, clean facilities, great food, and fun events for the residents.

Having witnessed the special care given to a friend’s Mother, we decided Summerfield Suites was the best place to place our Mother. For more than two years often on a daily basis we always found a most caring loving staff. Tammy the administrator views herself, staff and residents as family and that is exactly how they made Mom and us feel. A caring loving home. We could not have found a better home for Mom.

My Mother lived here for a little over 2 years until she passed away. The staff is friendly, caring and kind. They took good care of her which was very comforting to my siblings and me. Mom was very happy living here. She said the food was good and enjoyed the entertainment especially Buddy(one man band). Summerfield Suites is a top notch assisted living facility.

Kind. Compassionate. Caring. This is how I would describe Summerfield Suites. My father moved into Summerfield Suites in July 2021. The care he has received there is excellent. I visit 2 or 3 times a week and my dad is always clean, happy and his bed is made. ( I love that his bed is made and his apartment is clean.) Tammy and her staff excel at what they do. If you're looking for assisted living in The Villages start here, you won't be sorry.

We moved our Mother to Summerfield Suites about 2 years ago. At first she was very resistant to moving into an any assisted living facility. However, once in Summerfield Suites, she quickly adapted due to the caring, professional staff. It is a small facility and all the staff know the residents by name and truly care about their well being. My sister, brother and I live out of state but visit every 3 months. It is evident that she is happy and well cared for.

The Summerfield Suites is a wonderfully unique caring community. Of all the Assisted Living Facilities that we considered, it has the feeling of immediate acceptance & inclusion of everyone. The personal attention by staff, office, kitchen, beautician, laundry & “Mr Fix It” Shawn is so outstanding. (You will learn their names plus they yours.) Everyone goes that extra mile beyond medical needs! They get involved! They care! Thank You🙏🏼 Go sit on the front porch one sunny afternoon. Mom lived here for six years due to Alzheimers. Staff members loved her as if she were their mother. They engaged her throughout the journey through Alzheimers in every way they could. The care is exceptional, do not hesitate to have your loved one here.

I cant say enough good things about this facility. My mom has been there for two years and I know she is loved and taken excellent care of. There was 6 months I could not see her because of the Covid restrictions and that was so difficult. I give the staff all the credit for taking such good care of her and no one at the facility getting sick. Talk to Tammy if you are looking for assisted living or memory care. She is wonderful!! Will answer all your questions. It is a smaller facility which is what I wanted. I recommend 100%.

We moved our father in to his new home August 2019 when our mother went to be with the Lord. After our FIRST visit, we felt the presence of the Lord in the Office, the halls and all throughout the facility. The transition was very smooth thanks to Tammy, John and the staff making him feel loved and comfortable in his new environment. All of his family lives out of state, but we chose to have him remain in Summerfield Suites because he was so loved and very well cared for there! Tammy was exceptionally detailed in keeping us apprised of any - all situations concerning our father, all the while during a pandemic, and she used all resources to let us see his face and even sing Happy Birthday to him when we were not allowed to go down for our visits. He made close friends with the residents as the Staff was very intentional in creating a close knit community with many fun activities that kept him involved and Active! We would highly recommend Summerfield Suites to anyone who is considering the next chapter in a loved ones life.

We moved my father into Summerfield Suites a little over a year ago. He loved it - he made many friends, enjoyed the food, the crafts and entertainment and he loved the staff. They treated him like family. Our family never worried about him as we knew he was in the best hands. We are truly grateful for the staff at this lovely facility... they are truly angels on earth.

Great place!!!! My dad has been living here for a few years. The staff is very nice and they take good care of my dad. He loves this place. Tammy is awesome!!!! My dad sees her as a daughter. She does so much for him and us. The grounds are well-kept and maintained. He lives in a 1-bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a front room and a little kitchen. They run different activities to keep residents involved and occupied. If he needs anything, all he does is goes and sees Tammy and she takes care of it right away. If there are any issues or concerns Tammy reaches out to me immediately. Thank you so much Tammy for everything you do for dad!!!!

The staff really cares and goes out of their way to make sure the residents are well cared for, involved in activities and, also important, the food is good. This place is super. My dad really likes it there. The staff is nice and the place is neat and tidy. I have eaten lunch with my dad and the food is great and tasty. They also have good entertainment, singers and story tellers and show and tell and even a Car Show out front. Tammy who works there also make sure things are in going smoothly. My dad Norman has been here since 1/18. He really likes it and staff has always been good. My dad has some memory problems, and they work with him. I have eaten the food with my dad and it is really good. I like that is one level and a short distance to eat and the neat activities, like singing, acting, and just plain fun. I was in the medical field for 35 years and know how a place should be, and they get top marks. I live out of state so it is easy to come that often. Thanks again...Greg

My mother spent the last four months of her life at Summerfield Suites. It is an amazing place with a top-notch staff. They always went above and beyond any care that my family could have asked for. Whenever we came to visit, no matter how large the group, the staff was always very accommodating. My mother was very sick and they kept her clean, comfortable (with Hospice help), and content. She enjoyed her stay there as it was beautiful and clean. Thanks to Summerfield Suites, my mother was able to have the kind of care that she needed that we could not give her anymore. She was able to leave this life with dignity and my family will always be grateful.
