My Mother in law moved in to Bear Creak senior living center back in 2023. The staff and facility were so amazing taking care of her. She passed away this past January and the staff were so wonderful with everything. This is definitely a wonderful facility.

Bear Creek has done a fantastic job with my parents. My father showed great improvement in his health and demeanor in their care. My father passed peacefully while in there he was 92. They were extremely respectful and courteous. Took great care of my mom during this stressful time for her. They are still doing a fantastic job of taking care of her. As with my father her health, attitude and demeanor have improved while at BearCreek. Any requests that I have brought to the attention of the staff have been immediately taken care of. All the staff is courteous from those that I encounter daily to those that are behind the scenes.

When my father could no longer live alone I found Bear Creek Senior Living. The community director likes to say "it's like a cruise without the seasickness" and he's right! This place is definitely full service. All of the staff we have met have been wonderful. Having medical personnel on staff is a comfort. I feel confident that my father will be happy living here and his quality of life will improve being around friendly, caring people. I highly recommend Bear Creek Senior Living if you are in need of alternate living arrangements and extra care for your loved ones.

Have visited Bear Creek on several occasions as a vendor doing photo shoots for some of their events. Unlike other senior living facilities that I have visited I saw many residents out and about participating in activities and being involved with each other as well as the employees. There was a great deal of interaction going on which is much more than I can say for some of the other facilities I have visited where it made me feel like I was in a library! For being a slightly older facility it is very nice and clean with beautiful views of the mountains and the occasional wildlife. It has been taken care of and updated to make it look very warm and friendly, which it is....I don't think you can go wrong here if you are looking for a place to bring a loved one to.

I was very impressed with this facility everyone is so nice and friendly very welcoming, and it is so clean and bright no more depressing dark dreary place for my mom from her last place, mom is happy here she says its so beautiful !! It has a homey feeling residents lounging in the lobby watching TV is so nice to see,they have an open area to mingle and can get out of their rooms I love it!!!

After a lot of searching, and frustrating dead ends due to facilities being full, we decided to try Bear Creek. There has not been one day that we regretted our decision. They have been amazing. Had to put my friend in here. It was over a week and I had to complain to give her a shower and comb her hair that was rated miserably. Dont let this place let you think its a great place. Its understaffed. Only two people there give a hoot. Marcus and the widowed girl. Most the time you can't find someone that works there or knows what there doing. The showers have never been fixed. Water goes from hot to extremely cold. They have the attitude they just don't care.

Have had the opportunity to be onsite during some contractor work and was incredibly impressed with the care and tact that residents are provided with. The staff was always attentive and to the needs of the residents and approached all their interactions with a caring and loving feel. I saw the residents smiling and enjoying themselves and wouldn't hesitate considering Bear Creek as a place for a loved one to reside.

My Mom has been living here in assisted living, for over 3 years now. She loves the food and she really enjoys all the activities that they offer, that keep her busy. Activities include bingo, bus rides, and arts and crafts to name just a few. On Friday afternoons, they have happy hour and my Mom really enjoys the live music. But, its not the food, activities or the live music, that make Bear Creek Senior living such a great facility. It's the employees that work there. They sincerely care about all the residents that live there and it shows. My Mom loves living here and I have peace of mind knowing that all her needs are being taken care of.

My younger brother has been a resident at Bear Creek for just over a year now, having moved there from another local memory care facility. We had no complaints there, he was simply fading, moving into hospice care, and required a different level of care. Thanks to changes in medication and the excellent staff at Bear Creek, he 'graduated' from hospice and is in better physical health than he has been in years. Everyone from the doctors, nurses, aides, and support staff has been so kind, patient, understanding, loving, compassionate, and available to him and to us, his family. We cannot thank you enough.

I can't thank the Bear Creek Staff enough for the support and love they show residents. Sonya Foigelman resided in Assisting Living and Memory Care during the last 18 months of her life. During a pandemic in which conditions were unpredictable, they managed to update policies and stroke a balance between humanity and safety. I can not name all the angels who helped us there. Staffing everywhere was tight however they strove to hire wonderful people. Leadership was present and communicated with families throughout this difficult time. My Mother never complained and even made friends with staff and residents. The last few months Abode Hospice assisted in her care and often commented on the high level of staffing and the intuitive, calm manner staff used with the memory impaired clients. I have so many memories of them all it's difficult to say good bye. I would recommend this facility to others. I trust them all to always to their best.

We recently relocated our mother to Bear Creek. We worked with Evan Jones. Seldom do you ever get to work with someone as dedicated and helpful as Evan. He walked us through all of the paperwork, added useful suggestions, and jumped through hoops to accommodate our crazy schedule. From the medical side, the business side, and the personal side, Evan was incredible. The facility is well maintained, clean and modern. The entire staff is helpful, cheery and competent. We were not satisfied with the poor communications and weak care plan at our uncles current facility. We toured several Senior Living Centers in Colorado Springs. Bear Creek scored the highest marks with us. The residents were happy and well cared for. The staff was friendly (knew all the residents by name) and always ready to help. We discussed our concerns about our uncles care facility with Tiffany, a Bear Creek family advisor. She bent over backwards to assist us with the situation. She listed the steps needed to get our uncle to Bear Creek. Tiffany received no response for her requested information from the current facility. Carla (Nursing, Assisted Living) tried also, with poor response. Both of them drove to the Canon City facility to interview our uncle and get answers to their questions and concerns, and were able to complete his admission to Bear Creek. The morning of his transfer, he was admitted into the Emergency Room. He was then transferred to a Colorado Springs hospital. During his four day stay in the hospital, both Tiffany and Carla stayed in contact with us and assured us that Bear Creek (Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing) were ready anytime our uncle needed to come. Our uncles health declined and he was admitted to the Bear Creek Skilled Nursing facility. While he was there, Nick and all the other staff members provided amazing care and compassion for him. They were very personable, proficient and thorough. We visited every day, his last weeks were comfortable and we knew he was being taken care of by the great Bear Creek staff. We highly recommend Bear Creek for any senior needing assistance. Thank you Bear Creek! Nobody does it better! Larry and Jeylen Rohr

My father was placed at Bear Creek Senior Living when it became too difficult for him to live independently. The staff at Bear Creek were very welcoming, and always attentive to his needs. I am very pleased with the care he received. The staff is amazing - compassionate to the needs of their residents. They helped my dad stay as independent as possible and were very cognizant in helping him maintain purpose. He felt he was part of a community, which was very important to his wellness of being. What a amazing staff!! I was lucky enough to find Evan Jones a family advisor who walked us through the process with care compassion and a knowledge that proved priceless. After moving in the staff has been amazing from the waitstaff in the dinning room (thats open all day!!) To the care staff they have all been a Godsend... Thank you bear creek!

Terrible management and service. Terrible food and activities is the worse. There are 5 employees but only one person cares. I’ve seen the activities manage people sigh when being reminded she needed to start and activity. But she acted really nice when seeing that I was there as well.

My 97 year old Grandma -Vada has been here for a year. We brought her out here from California, after her daughter passed away. She used to own a home in Broadmoor, so its nice to keep her close to her former home This facility is absolutely amazing. All the staff are now our family. My grandma Vada is treated with so much love. Guys, the staff loves her...like their own grandma or mom. I Highly recommend this facility for your loved ones.

The most caring staff with an at home feeling, not the feeling of institutionalized. The Therapy department is amazing and work hard to get the patients back to their loved ones. The nursing staff is the best! Under new administration who has worked his way up from CNA to nurse to administrator. He genuinely cares about the residents and his staff. I love Brookdale Bear Creek and would recommend it to everyone I know.

Our grandmother is a resident there and has been for about 2 1/2 years. She did respite care here before that for about two years. Throughout her time there a number of care givers, servers, hair dressers and PT have been more than helpful. However, a few have certainly stood out! We always look forward to being greeted over the phone or in person by Lisa Phillips, she always has a smile for us. She also always knows right where our grandmother is, you can tell she cares about the residents, our family. She has gone out of her way several times to help me coordinate things for my grandmother or get a message to her or a care giver. She is a HUGE asset to Brookdale at Bear Creek and has always provided the utmost in customer service.Will McElroy is another part of Brookdale at Bear Creek who we are very thankful is there. Will is one of a kind. He truly cares about the residents. He is someone who makes a huge difference, we always look forward to seeing Will. He is always so kind and takes a real interest in everyone there, which we really appreciate. Recently, he went out of his way to create a truly special celebration for our grandmother on her 100th birthday! Complete with decorations and a beautiful cake. He made a short speech and led everyone in singing "Happy Birthday". We cannot thank him enough for making her day truly magical! It is people like Lisa and Will who make us more than comfortable with our decision to have our grandmother at Brookdale at Bear Creek, they are like a second family for our sweet grandmother.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
