I used the community room for a family dinner. Staff was most helpful. Stella in the kitchen an area in the refrigerator for our needing refrigerated salads Katie at the guest stopped by to make sure we had what we needed and if we had any questions or needs All of my family thoroughly enjoyed it and were pleased with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff

Caregivers are lovely - smiling and caring. Our mother has developed a connection of joy and friendship with staff. Management personnel went out of their way to initially meet our assisted living needs and then, when a higher level of care (Skilled Nursing) was needed, was dedicated to making sure Mom's needs were met. We are grateful to the Executive Director, Housing Manager, Activities Directors, Nurses, and all staff for their continued commitment to Mom's wellbeing!

This community has a very welcoming and caring environment the second you walk in the door. The staff is all exceptionally involved and interested in the overall wellbeing of it's residents, and everyone had a huge smile on their face. I was absolutely thrilled with my experience and would recommended IV of Waukee to anyone looking for a senior living community!

I started as Housekeeping here in July of 2022. In October I switched to Maintenance. This is the best company I have worked for. They genuinely care for their employees. They live up to our 1440 motto! There is so much room for growth here as well in your career.They cater to the residents here as well. There is ALWAYS something going on for them! From exercise classes, games, painting nails, happy hours, holiday festivities, game rooms, gym, trips to the grocery store or Goodwill......so much! We care about our residents and most of us get close to them and their families.We have also done extra things for residents such as throwing sports parties in the theater room when we know they would love to go to the game, but may not be able to due to health.One resident commented to me one day, that on weekends, its so quiet without the weekday staff, and he misses us all on the weekends! We keep the place lively and fun for the residents.No where is perfect, but we sure do try here! We do our best and are always open to listening to anything residents and families feel we should change or would like to add to festivities we have.Highly recommend working here or living here!

I had experience with a few places back east with my grandparents and while thinking about bringing out my father to Iowa, I was worried about what to expect since my previous interactions in Jersey were not great. But i visited Independence Village and its so wonderful. The staff are so very friendly and really care about each person there! Like seriously! It's never the easiest time for a family but i feel comfortable recommending Independence Village as a place where my father will be cared for and flourish!

My husband lived here for almost a year and a half. Due to Alzheimers he could be difficult. But the staff was patient, understanding, caring and loving to him. The administration is good about answering questions and taking care of whatever you as a family member might need in regards to your loved ones needs. Wonderful facility, wonderful people.

I absolutely love my job here! The management team is so wonderful and take great care of their employees. The residents though, are the best part of the job! I love taking care of them as if they were my own family. I love it so much here that I just moved in my own grandparents this past weekend! They love it so far!

My mom was a resident of Legacy Point (now Independence Villages) Waukee for many years. She received top tier care from her care providers in the assisted living and long term care areas of the facility. Irena, Maria, Jenn Noel, Karen and her team on the assisted side along with Lanny, Jesse and their teams on skilled and long term care, and physical therapy department, plus so many Ive missed naming went above and beyond in their care for mom. Caring and dedicated workers are what prompts me to write this 5 star review. Our family is grateful to you. Thank you and God Bless all of the workers, residents and many friends mom made there. My mom was blessed to get her care there and it was a blessing to our family. This past year has been exceptionally difficult, thanks for making the best possible during this time.

IV Waukee is an awesome place for seniors. The food is made from scratch, the location is perfect and the Executive Director model allows the ED to spend time with residents.

Independence Village is a great place to live. The apartments are spacious, beautiful and bright. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. I know these things because my brother has lived at Independence Village for 3 years. He has made wonderful new friends there. There are plenty of activities to participate in also. As a family member I have been invited to many of their holiday parties and social gatherings. And there are many amenities that I havent mentioned, so check out this wonderful retirement facility.

I called Independence Village Waukee to obtain information on their Independent Living area. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the person I spoke with. I have been contemplating moving out of my home and moving into an Independent Community for years. When I am finally ready to make the move, this is where I want to spend the remainder of my days.

My mother lives at IV Waukee and I am very impressed with this community. The activities always keep her active and involved but their Executive Director is the best I have seen. The residents love her and she genuinely cares not only for the residents, but she cares for the families as well.

My sister has lived in the Assisted Living and Rehab units over the past couple of years and currently resides in Long-term Care so weve experienced several different levels of care. Each level has been a positive experience for both her and us, as her family. We are especially appreciative of the current staff and care she is receiving during the COVID pandemic. The staff has been amazing and has acted as compassionate, caring extensions of our family during this difficult time. I highly recommend Independence Village!

We put my dad in there after complications with a surgery. The staff during the week is fantastic and kept me in the loop with all of his treatments and their plans. The director of nursing and his staff were VERY helpful and very understanding. The only complaints my dad has is that the food is always cold by the time it gets to him and the weekend staff isnt as good as the weekday staff.

I think this is an amazing place to work at and the staff and residents are one of a kind! I would highly recommend this senior community to individuals needing rehab, assisted living, independent living, and long term care. Legacy Point in Waukee Ia offers one room for visitation for a limit of four residents per day by hiding behind the COVID excuse. The facility his huge but chooses to limit visitation with this excuse. What is the difference between this and prison? $$$. These inmates lived through the the Depression and WWII but this isolation is worse because it is arbitrarily imposed by the facility they are paying handsomely to incarcerate them. Legacy point will forever be a legacy of shame. May God have mercy on your soles.

From the 1st time I walked into Legacy Pointe I was impressed...it was beautiful and so inviting. Now that we've been here since July we are so glad we opted for this place. The staff is wonderful, caring and helpful. There is always something to do.....crafts, cards, games, exercise class, movies, etc. The apartments are spacious and I love the patio. I really like the weekly cleaning!!! I don't think there would be anywhere else I'd rather be. And the maintenance staff does a great job.

My mother and my father-in-law have both lived in the independent living apartments for about 7 months and overall they are very pleased. The apartments are spacious and the heated underground parking is very convenient. The weekly cleaning service is nice and the washer and dryer in each unit is very convenient. The meals are OK but but is one area that could be improved. The staff is friendly and helpful and the residents all seem very nice. Overall a good value.

My Dad has lived in an apartment on the Independent Living side for 3 years. Legacy has done some remodeling in that time and is very nice. There are lots of activities, amenities and each apartment has its own storage unit in the basement. The only concern would be the food- variety and choices but other than that it is a very nice place to live and meet others.
