I moved here from Fountain View a few months and I could not be happier. I have a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment and I am happy with my choice. Neel, the sales director is phenomenal. The view in the dining room is fantastic, the location is premiere and the most important factors are the staff and the residents are great. Happy to be here.

This might be your best choice in Philly if you can afford it, but leadership is a mess (there basically isn’t any) and if you bring literally anything of value - even small momentos that can’t be of value to anyone else - they will be slowly stolen by the non-stop stream of employees who walk in and out of apartments without knocking. And nobody will do anything about it. Install cameras! There are so many kind care workers there but management doesn’t give them respect - one of my favorites was fired for lateness when they were already understaffed, and she is a single mom! This is indicative of their focus on corporate rules over care and kindness. These are the kinds of things that affect daily life. But the most egregious experience was drugging my mom into a stupor because she had Alzheimer’s and acted out sometimes. Absolutely unforgivable. I’m permanently bitter about the experience.

From the moment I entered Atria, it was clear how much care and attention go into maintaining the community. Everything - from the atmosphere to the staff interactions - reflected a true commitment to residents’ well-being. Marcel, who gave me a tour, was simply outstanding. He took the time to understand my family member’s specific needs and patiently answered every question I had. I especially appreciated how responsive he was, promptly following up and even meeting with me on a weekend to accommodate my tight schedule for making arrangements. While we haven’t moved our family member in yet, the experience so far has been incredibly positive. The staff seem genuinely supportive, the building is beautiful, and the environment feels both warm and welcoming. I left feeling confident that Atria truly values the people they serve.

I’ve been scouting out luxury senior living facilities for work, and I have to say”this place truly stands out in every way. The sales director is an absolute joy to work with. He and his team go above and beyond to ensure that your loved one feels valued, comfortable, and confident in their decision to transition to a new home. The facility itself is exceptionally clean and carries the fresh, welcoming scent of a well-maintained upscale hotel. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the environment and the people who live there. If you’re looking for a senior living community for someone you care about, I would absolutely recommend taking a tour here. It’s more than just a facility”it feels like a place where your loved one can truly feel at home

My mom just moved to Atria’s Life Guidance neighborhood last fall after several years in the independent living part of the building. I wish she had moved earlier! She is eating well, having fun in the group activities, making new friends, and I haven’t been nearly as worried about falls, confusion, or isolation. Amanda, the director of Life Guidance, is friendly and a good communicator. Again, I wish we hadn’t delayed this move as long as we did.

I really enjoy living at this community. The staff and residents are great and it feels like a family/home environment. Michael in the Bistro is fantastic, as is Linda in Engage Life. I enjoy the programs offered and enjoy being around people in the community. I do as much as I can on my own but am grateful for the help provided when I need it. I highly recommend Atria CC to family and friends.

Atria is a terrific place for elderly city dwellers who want to keep active and have a social life. My mom just turned 90 and has been there as a general resident for 4 years and last few months in their Life Guidance wing. I am generally very satisfied. The staff are friendly, many come up and hug my mom when passing by, and they all know her name etc. I tried to keep my mom fully independent in an apartment in Center City near me for years with lots of aides, help, visits, home deliveries and technology but ultimately it wasn't safe and more isolating. I had a negative perception of "Senior Homes" but honestly after seeing how the last 4.5 years has gone I regret not moving my mom at least 2-3 years earlier. She would have had a few more years to really enjoy the full scale of activities and people (fellow residents and staff) instead of being isolated in an apartment. There are downsides of course - cost is a real factor - but I would strongly encourage anyone considering this avenue for a loved one to visit / take a tour. I was not compensated in any way for this review.

My husband and I are very pleased with our move to Atria Senior Living. We love being in Center City Philadelphia, and enjoy being near wonderful museums. Our fellow residents are friendly and interesting. The programs Atria offers are enjoyable: exercise programs, book club, yoga, card and board games and more. The food is tasty and the servers are excellent. There is a daily happy hour too. A driver is available to take residents to appointments and planned outings to Philadelphia sights. I highly recommend Atria to seniors seeking independent or assisted living, including a memory care unit.

When I first came to Atria, I was very positively impressed and thought about writing a review. However, I thought it prudent to wait a full year. My very positive opinion has not only not changed but has been reinforced. The staff, the food, the schedule of activities, the effort on the part of all to respond to the needs of the residents prompt me to give a positive review. I would not hesitate to recommend the Atria program to any of my friends and loved ones.

It's not easy to decide that your family can no longer provide the right level of care for a loved one. The team at Atria have helped make the transition easier. They understand the importance of supporting my dad's independent living, as long as possible, combined with the benefits of social integration. My father is no longer isolated and at home, and he is beginning to build relationships and connections that offer hope, structure and a new lease on life.

It felt like a very upscale hotel. Great location for the city lover. Problem is, it felt a bit cold. Not temperature. It just felt very staged like you wouldn't want to eat ice cream on the furniture. I couldn't put my finger on why I wasn't impressed, but it felt very corporate and not super homey. Definitely nice hotel. But not many live in nice hotels.

From my first visit to Atria, I knew it was the right place for my mom. I was impressed with their facility and operations. Atria was very clean and well appointed. Prior to Atria, my mother was temporarily in a nursing home which wasn’t meeting her memory care requirements. I had to find mom a forever and permanent home and Atria is the answer. The staff is very attentive and sincerely caring. All residents and staff spend time together like a family. And my mom is never left alone and she is always included. From the moment I peppered Brian with a hundred questions that he patiently answered over the phone, to the extensive tour he provided, to now going into my mom's fourth week since moving into the building, Atria Center City has more than met expectations. Coordinating her move from out of state was made as painless as possible by the quick responses of Patrick in Maintenance and Jessica and Natalie of Resident Services. The personal welcome by Anne in Culinary Services was wonderful the first evening my mom ate in the dining room. Natalie and Kym and the other concierge staff are friendly and efficient, as are the nurses and other support staff. I can honestly say that my mom is already "back in the world" and engaging with other residents and activities in a way that never happened in the two years she was at a different facility. Our experience with Atria, while not perfect, has been pretty darn close to it. Our dad, like many others in America today, suffers from Alzheimer's dementia. The care offered at Atria for people like him is just what you'd wish for a loved one who can no longer manage his or her own life, who may endanger themselves if not cared for around the clock, and who wants to enjoy what remains of their lives. Atria's caring staff attends to all of these needs and keeps family members informed while doing so.

Atria is a great retirement community. The staff is kind and knows everyone's names. After some trouble with previous administration, they are working hard to make it a safe and comfortable residence for all. My mom moved to to Atria after having a bad experience at another assisted living center. She was skeptical that she would have a better experience. But Atria has gone above and beyond to make her experience not just better, but far better, than her last experience. She consistently tells me how happy she is, how well they take care of her, and how comfortable she is there. And...she loves the food. Kudos to the chef and culinary team for their efforts to make the residents feel cared for through great food. Even during Covid, Atria has consistently impressed us.

I moved my father into Atria at the beginning of the Pandemic (March 2020). It was a difficult time for everyone, especially for a 97 year old. The staff at Atria looked over Dad as if he was their own. I was not able to get into to see Dad due to COVID, but knew he was being taken well care off. The staff are caring, empathetic, concerned, communicative and a pleasure to deal with. They always keep me updated and are so very responsive to my questions. They have been wonderful during COVID, keeping the families up to date. Dad is happy and content at the Atria. The food is great and so are the choices. The amenities are modern and up to date. His apartment is roomy and bright. They offer a wide range of activities and Dad enjoys them all. Aly, Lexi and Lauren go above and beyond. I am thrilled I chose Atria Philly for my father.

It frustrates me to write this review, but it is necessary. My mom lived at Atria Center City for five years”Jan 2016 to Jan 2021. When she moved into her alcove apartment the monthly rent was $4,395. At the time, I thought this was reasonable. Then the price went up twelve percent, an increase of over $500. Then it went up again. Then again. Then again. The first two times I argued for a reduction and received it. The third year Atria instituted a no negotiation policy. Even as Covid tore through the facility in November and December 2020, infecting dozens and killing a few, Atria had the audacity to raise the rent yet again on January 1, 2021. As always, they provided just two weeks’ notice and cited the same hackneyed reasons as they did, word for word, every year, including rising expenses in labor and minimum wage increases, higher insurance, taxes, and utilities. I have a very hard time believing the dining staff and cleaning crew earned commensurate increases, or that water and electric bills increase so much, year after year, that it justifies raising rent by $2,000 per month in just five years for the same 400-square foot apartment and basic services. Either Atria wants to rapidly expand its business to new locations or its top executives are guided by unrivaled avarice. But what truly infuriated me was when my mom returned to Atria following nine days in the hospital due to Covid. The first call I received from Wellness enumerated all the ways in which she now needed help (she was still very lethargic but she was most certainly independent) and what it would cost her”an additional $1,500 a month. There was no sympathy. There was no grace period. There was no attempt to see her as a human being who had just experienced a traumatic and life-threatening event. They saw her simply as a cash cow waiting to be exploited. I immediately researched other options and learned that numerous facilities chose not to raise their rent during the pandemic, some saying they found it insensitive to do so; and none ever raise their rent more than 2-5% a year, significantly less than Atria’s 8-12%. All of this, coupled with the high rate of staff and managerial turnover, the dwindling number of employees who genuinely care about the residents, and the mishandling of Covid (there isn’t enough room here for details) far outweigh the convenient location and shiny chandeliers. In December 2019, before the pandemic began, I asked the regional director, Where does it end? In a few more years my mom will be paying double what she paid when she moved in! He had no answer. There is no end. At Atria, the sky’s the limit. Some businesses at least pretend to set boundaries, pretend to have scruples. Not this one.

After looking at a few residences for my father, I knew immediately that Atria Center City was the right place for him. The interior is very upscale and modern, like a boutique hotel, and my dad’s apartment was cheerful and bright. But most important was the sense of community amongst the staff and residents. All the staff knew the residents by name and cared about them personally. They went beyond just doing their job.The other residents were friendly too - and also fascinating. I enjoyed hanging out with my dad and his friends at meals and happy hour. The food was excellent, and my father enjoyed a full range of activities and culture, including musicians from the Philadelphia Orchestra, movies, and art gallery openings in house.

Accountability and productivity start at the top in any business and it is readily apparent that the problems with the Atria start at the top. Sabrina is a terribly inefficient and clearly easily overwhelmed executive. She doesn’t return calls, doesn’t understand timelines (even when imposed by her), and seems genuinely overwhelmed and underprepared at every juncture. Her staff are better but you can see where their respective shortcomings and the tolerance thereof originate. The atria is a beautiful facility and after many early problems due to staff error and simply struggling with transition, things have improved - beyond Sabrina. This is just someone who clearly can’t bear the burden of leadership; which is disconcerting given her position being to lead in the care of those who are especially vulnerable and in need. I think the atria would be very well served to hire a better executive either above her or in her stead. It’s internal operations would then likely then better mirror its external appearance.

As a clinical therapy partner of Atria I can say with confidence that this is a place where people can thrive physically and socially. The recent renovations have really provided an inclusive environment for all individuals. The care staff is receptive to all recommendations from families as well as the therapy team. Atria always has the best interest of their residents and that includes utilizing an interdisciplinary team approach to provide the highest level of care. The activities are diverse and the Engage Life Director and her staff are always willing to listen to new ideas. The Sales team truly assists with a smooth transition with the move (which I know is not an easy thing for me and I couldn't imagine for someone possibly moving from a home they had for 40-50 years!). Additionally, I find them to be a "5-star service" because they are always willing to sit down and listen. You have access to all directors and staff at all times. Hopefully this review helps give you some honest insight into Atria!

My father moved in ten days ago. The attentive level of care has exceeded our expectations. The room is beautifully appointed but more importantly the daily attention the staff pay to him is great. Atria fills the gap between independent living and personal care perfectly. My dad enjoys his personal lifestyle but gets the services he needs such as medication management, bed made daily, weekly laundry, daily weight measurement and daily reminders to go downstairs to eat his lunch or dinner. My mother moved to Atria from a facility in SAN DIEGO. I was impressed by the renovations and bright and cheery design. But it’s only superficial. The management is horrible . The caregivers are either overworked, lazy or just don’t care. Also they rented me an apartment that does not have hot water. I spoke to the resident who lived in my mom’s apartment for 2cyears and she did not have hot water either. They knew this unit had problems and did not disclose it to me. That;s fraud. When I complain, I just get some slick talk and nothing gets done. I am in the process of finding her another location before they kill her.

Atria Center City is one of the nicest senior facilities I have seen. From its pleasant decor to the amazing food, Atria is a great place for you and your loved ones! The staff is attentive and friendly, to the point where they stop being workers and start being family, and work hard for the comfort and safety of the residents. Even residents with needs are offered the highest level of autonomy that allows them to lead normal, fulfilling lives. Activities include some routine features such as current-events forums and exercise classes at the same time daily to provide consistency and structure, exciting daily guest entertainers, bi-weekly shopping trips to places like Whole Foods Market, Walmart, and other local stores. What makes me love the place so much, however, are the resident trips. The resident trips enable the residents to go out into the world, to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city, to see places like Linvilla Orchards in Media... Such an amazing trip! The residents loved going out and picking their own apples and pumpkins, and shopping for pies and other seasonal items.

A great place to live! The food is good and the staff are very helpful. The computer lab has given me the chance to learn how to use a computer. The community is in a great location.

When I moved to Philadelphia from the Chicago area in 2011 my daughter and I had looked at several senior residences and we zeroed in on the Atria. It apppeared to be much cosier than any of the other places we looked at and. to be a very friendly place. I am happy we chose it because it is also very convenient for my daughter to visit me. It is now my HOME. The entire staff is great. I would like to mention in particular Linda Timlin and Faith in activities and Tinaudra Foster in transportation and Sara my aide in the morning. [

I've lived at Atria since 2005 and hope to live here until my final hours on this good earth. I have MS and use a wheel chair. For the most part, Atria is fully accessible and allows me to live independently--and to get assistance from our caring aides when I need it. I'm currently the president of our Resident Advisory Council and find it a pleasure to deal with our reasonable managers in my efforts to improve Atria's operations and environment. Even after the nearly ten years I've lived here, eating in our dining room still feels like I'm going out to dinner in a nice restaurant. I also feel so fortunate to have the day-to-day chores, such as laundry, cleaning, and repairing my living space, done for me. But, I guess for me, Atria's transportation is the most important reason I I love living at Atria. I'm able to get to and from all my doctor appointments, to shop, and to visit all the culture Philadelphia has to offer.

There's something for everyone at Atria Center City. The staff are wondeful and they work tirelessly to make us happy and comfortable. Engage life is super and the community always feels homey. The staff really go out of their way to answer your questions and help you get acclimated. I love it here.

I love the staff, especially our driver, the residents that live here, our Executive Director, Jody, our chefs Chris and Darren, and all of the programs, entertainers and games that we have everyday. A great place to live and I would highly reccomend Atria Center City to anyone looking for a place to live.

Atria provides seniors and individuals with physical limitations a happy independent lifestyle. This is accomplished through the hard work of all of the emplyoees. The building and amenities are not what makes the difference - the employees are! From staff in the kitchen to staff in wellness to staff in administration to engage life programming to maintenance who keep the building functioning - that's what makes Atria a unique community that we can call home!!
