Great staff, including patient care givers, dining room staff, nursing and executive directors. Beautiful place. At times understaffed, which is my only complaint, but the staff they do have are wonderful. My mother has been there 8 months and I strongly recommend Sunrise Des Peres.

As a third-party medical professional who visits this facility regularly, I have nothing but positive things to say about the care and environment provided here. I have personally witnessed the Director of Nursing, Terri, take the time to sit with patients and offer genuine comfort and compassion. Ty, one of the patient care managers, consistently goes above and beyond, taking the time to pay attention to each resident individually and ensure their specific needs are met. Drea demonstrates a high level of professionalism, manages medication administration with accuracy, and is deeply attentive to patient comfort. Shawna, the facility nurse, is not only incredibly thorough”carefully reviewing all notes from physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to stay fully informed”but also consistently compassionate in her care and interactions with residents. The team’s dedication to their residents is evident in both their quality of care and their strong communication. In addition, the facility itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a wide variety of engaging activities for residents. Overall, this is a place where patients are truly cared for, and it shows in every aspect of the environment and staff.

Not only does this place welcome the residents with open arms, they welcome their family too. I have been very involved with getting my sister in law situated at Sunrise. Every member of the staff has been nothing but kind and considerate towards her, but also towards me. I grew up with a very different view of elder care, but having found Sunrise, I am no longer fearful for my own aging. And I'm so thankful for the care they have provided my family. I highly recommend this facility.

Exceptional care! My Mom was recently relocated from a different facility after only being there a few days due to a fall. The professionalism and attention to detail in her care now at Sunrise Des Peres is like night and day. We couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process from the evaluation, to the move in process, to the amazing care plan offered. The place is beautiful, clean and homey, which is awesome of course, but my 5 star rating is mostly based on the wonderful staff on the memory floor. She has excelled under their care more than we could have imagined in a very short period of time. Thank you for all you do, we appreciate your kindness.

I was just reading the reviews, I seen a couple of positive reviews about the maintenance coordinator.. I have a family member that is a resident here, I have to say that Larry is one of the most caring and compassionate person in general that I have ever met . and carries a smile that will brighten your day, I was just at sunrise today and he was working on a bird feeder with a resident.. it put a big smile on my face, I would highly recommend sunrise of Desperes for your loved one.

My father arrived at the memory care ward on December 15, 2023. He was diagnosed with dementia and dysphagia prior. From the moment he arrived, Kourtney and her crew took such good care of him as if he was one of their own family members. Little did we know that he would pass away just three days later, but they helped him transition from this life to the afterlife with dignity. The staff changed him regularly, and the nursing staff was very helpful in securing an emergency hospice examination and diagnosis on Sunday. I cannot recommend Sunrise of Des Peres enough.

Not filthy. From our experience, NOT a place for any non-demented person, needing a significant amount of physical help and assistance. Some staff have been lovely and VERY helpful and caring. More staff have been non-caring, or abusive, or definitely neglectful of 95 yo resident. Administrator denies all problems and has done NOTHING to reslove these issues. Supervisor of care-giving staff, only a CNA, herself, has taken no responsibility for mis-treatment by her staff and does not appear to care, either. Attempts to contact corporate staff have been completely un-answered for months. PLEASE do NOT assume that a facility or adminstration that APPEAR caring, clean, and well-functioning REALLY ARE, just from appearances. I would NEVER place a loved one in this facility for memory care as, even with a coherent, intelligent family member, she (and we) is NOT HEARD by supervisory staff. Abuse and neglect are repeated. Look for other alternatives. Look at MANY reviews, check about abuse and neglect reports with the state. I have not been able to do this, but look for ways to discuss with residents and/or family members who are NOT recommended by the administation to get their experiences of the facility or part of a facility that you are considering for care for your loved one.

I am a private contractor, who since 2016 plays music frequently for the residents at Sunrise of Des Peres. In all of my years partnering with this community, the residents always appear to be happy, well cared for, the entire facility is extremely clean, the entire staff and management have always been exceptionally friendly and have treated me like family. I would highly recommend this community! Your family members will be in excellent hands!

After a year of frustrating situations, we had to remove my father from this facility. He had situation after situation where the staff was rude to him, and the response time when he tried to get help was unacceptable. He had multiple falls, and on the last one, the report given by the staff to the management was not what actually occurred. We had received high recommendations for this facility, but were disappointed time after time in the quality of care. Granted, part of the issue was the inability to keep the facility fully staffed during a difficult time in the world, but the bad attitude and the inconsistency were more than we could deal with in the end.

My family has nothing but great things to say about Sunrise. Despite coming highly recommended we did our due diligence when it came time to have Mom make the move and found first hand how well run and how good everything is here. It was an easy choice to make and were glad we did. Responsive staff, great care, extensive activities, good size rooms and public areas, bright and pleasant surroundings, very nice dining and family areas with a good meal service. Staff friendly and accommodating and we really liked the other residents. We couldn't have asked for more. Sunrise is an excellent residence and a great choice.

Beautiful place, welcoming atmosphere. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and was very helpful. They also have a cute friendly dog . It's a home like environment. Everyone I met was very friendly or at least would smile and say hi when passing them. Great place everyone seems like family.
