Was at this location to visit a family friend. Everyone was so welcoming, polite, and helpful. The facility was very clean, smelled good, very well kept. I also had lunch there and the meal was very good and flavorful. I like the fact that they serve restaurant style for the clients. They provide so many choices just like you are in a restaurant. My friend really likes living there and love all of the different amenities that are provided. This is really a special place.

I knew from my first visit that Woodlands Creek was the perfect place for mom. It is a wonderful facility and provides a home atmosphere you desire for your loved one. The staff truly care about the residents & their families. They display compassion, patience, love and selflessness and are well trained & knowledgeable in geriatric care. We moved our 94 year old mom into Woodlands Creek last week. The staff is outstanding and have been more than helpful as we settle her into her new apartment. The residents are friendly and she is feeling a real sense of community. She loves the many selections on the menu and described it as "delicious comfort food". Wasting no time, she has jumped right into the many activities in which she always feels welcome. Woodlands Creek has been a great choice for her.

I can’t say enough good things about this assisted living facility. To start, the care staff is absolutely exceptional. It is evident that the staff love and care about their residents as if they were their own family. Every single day the care staff go above and beyond their jobs to make the most out of the residents experience. Elissa is so easy to talk to while learning about the different levels of care. She knows all her information! She is warm, transparent, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Management does a phenomenal job at keeping the place running smoothly. Kristine and Kathy always make sure to address any conflicts in a timely manner. They are incredibly friendly and genuinely make you feel like you are part of a family. Housekeeping is AMAZING. They are so thorough with their jobs. Every time I walk into the building it is absolutely spotless. I genuinely feel like residents are truly care for. I HIGHLY recommend Woodlands Creek.

From my ten years of experience the staff at Woodlands Creek is family. My parents lived in Independent Living for several years, then Assisted Living. After six years my mom passed away, leaving my dad alone the last four years. His last two years were in Memory Care. During this ten year period we had many health related events. The staff was wonderful with attentive follow-up care and always interacted with my parents in a respectful caring manor. The management of this facility is the best! I always noticed that the staff was well recruited and managed well. It is a happy place! This is critical with the nursing and CNA staff. I never felt like my parents were neglected and the nursing staff always kept me in the loop if something like a fall occurred. Socialization and activities are offered at every level of care. We really liked the size of the facility, as some other homes are so big I can see elders feeling lost. The buildings and apartments are well kept and clean. This year a total remodel to the Assisted Living building is near complete giving it fresh modern appeal well thought out common spaces.

Their facilities just had a beautiful remodel which everyone from the residents to the staff is super excited about! They have many fun activities for their residents to be involved in, even had a petting zoo one time! I have brought my children for their family activities on different holidays. My father in-law is a resident here. The building is under construction and there's no carpet in the hallway. The dust is terrible and the floor is filthy inside his apartment. Weekend staff don't attend to the tenants needs. Most importantly, don't understand what you are saying. I really wish I could give a better rating... I envisioned memory care and assisted living to be better for the amount of money they make per tenant.

Woodlands Creek is an amazing place! When looking for assisted living for my mother after her stroke, we found that we were very impressed with everything they could provide for her. The apartments are beautiful, the activities are awesome, the food is yummy (we've had several opportunities to sample and enjoy), and the pricing is very reasonable. There are so many things that make Woodlands Creek such a great place, but what impressed us the most was the staff. We have been overwhelmed by their love and support, not only for my mom, but all of us as well. They truly are our family. Words cannot express just how amazing they all are! They have such an exceptional, longstanding staff that continues to amaze us! We are so very blessed to have each and every one of them care for my mom! She is thriving! We could not be happier with Woodlands Creek Senior Living. Moving my mother from her hometown of 89 years was not a decision we took lightly. Woodlands assisted living was a great match for my mom! She enjoyed playing Bingo, participating on the bean bag toss team and the special events they had. We loved the inclusion of the whole family to special events and we could participate in the daily activities with mom. We always felt welcome and we were always informed with any updates on mom or information we needed to know. Mom tried several retirement homes in the area and this was by far her favorite! Great staff that truly cares!

My brother and I placed our mother in Woodland's Creek memory care community in May of 2023 and we have been very impressed with all aspects of her new home. Before deciding on Woodlands Creek, we performed a lot of due diligence, research and tours on the other memory care communities around the Des Moines area. We found that Woodlands Creek has the most well rounded approach to memory care. Firstly, the care is outstanding. I mean, we had high expectations beforehand, but we have been blown away by everyone on the nurse and care staff. They work hard and go out of their way to show they really care about the residents. They check on the residents on a frequent basis and have professional and kind communication skills in order to get them involved in the daily activities. They record all the activities that each resident participates in or doesn't participate in so that I can monitor it on a special App (It includes weekly pictures as well!) The culture from the head of nursing is nothing short of outstanding. Talking about culture, it is strong and healthy throughout the community. From the time you walk through the door and are greeted, staff members are friendly and approachable. I have always felt safe and secure as well. The rooms are cleaned weekly, and laundry is done weekly. The meals are healthy and very tasty and the ice cream and snacks are plentiful. Lastly, some places will nickel and dime the residents for every little extra service provided. Woodlands Creek is all inclusive. The Executive Director with the support of DIAL is doing a tremendous job in managing and leading this business and it shows.

My folks have been there for a few years and I cannot say enough positive things about the facility and the staff. It's a great peace of mind to know they are safe, clean and active in their community.

Woodlands Creek is a beautiful complex with all the amenities one could need. The staff was so welcoming and it was inspiring to see so many smiling faces!!

We have attended events, met staff & residents. This place is very warm & welcoming to everyone. We enjoy the fact that the residents seem so happy & thankful for their many formed friendships. And, the coffee bar is delish.
