Our experience at Ciel for our Mom has been absolutely amazing. From initially talking with Dominic, who explained everything to us so professionally and kindly to help us learn all about Ciel and all they offer, to ALL the wonderful caring staff our Mom is feeling so very cared for! Everyone, from the minute you walk in the door helps with any question you have and are quick to help with anything. The nurses and caregivers are so professional and attentive. Always making sure Mom is cared for. The interior spaces and rooms and outdoor courtyard spaces are beautiful. Mom has enjoyed many delicious meals in the beautiful Dining Room too! Awesome menu! There are lots of fun activities each day that Mom has started to enjoy as well! To know someone you love is being so well cared for is a wonderful feeling. Thank you everyone!

Dominick has been fantastic and quickly responds to questions. Staff has been very friendly and accommodating. Only drawback so far are the elevators. They take 3-4 minutes to come. I mean it’s only a 2 story building

I am thankful my mom has a place here in Memory Care. The staff are very caring and adore her. When I showed up to visit, I did not let them know I was coming. Mom was in clean clothes and well groomed. Her living space was tidy and personalized. She gets to do many activities and has plenty of opportunities to socialize. I feel her individual needs are well met at Ciel.

My dad was here until he gained his wings. The staff, including care partners, nurses, dining room and events (loved the Friday karaoke) were excellent! He was a full care resident and he was always taken care of and enjoyed their beautiful facility. I could not stop thanking them for all that they do. There are always things to improve but the love, care and concern was genuine.

The tour at this place was astounding! Nothing but kindness from Dominic. So very informative. We ultimately bought a house in Shorewood instead so we decided to have mom with us but I know this place would have been a great choice otherwise.

I have nothing but great things to say about Ciel of Plainfield. This is actually my mom’s second time here”first when it was HarborChase, and now she’s been at Ciel for about a year. The staff is incredibly attentive and does a great job communicating any concerns with me. That level of communication means everything. My biggest priority is knowing my mom is being well taken care of, and Julia Milne and her team truly deliver on that. I can sleep at night knowing my mom is getting the care she needs. That peace of mind is priceless.

Highly dysfunctional Assisted Living Facility. My Father-in-Law was there for only four days. Things started going downhill the minute he checked in. First, the staff did not have him on the list; nor was a caregiver assigned to him. We waited for over an hour for someone to show up, despite repeatedly pressing the 'service call' button. The next day we waited ~ 45 minutes, after requesting help, before one of the staff responded. Within the time that he was there he fell three times. He waited for hours to be changed after soiling himself, despite being told to check on him every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. As for cleanliness: There was hair in the shower; dirty toilet seat; sticky bathroom floor; and purportedly urine all over the top of credenza- an impossible task given the condition of the resident. When confronted the staff to clean it up, their response was: "The cleaning crew is gone, and we have no access to the cleaning supplies". Definitively not recommended.

I highly recommend Harbor Chase of Plainfield! My Mom was at the facility from July to October 2022. She received excellent care , she was on the Memory Care Unit. All the staff are compassionate, professional, very caring. They are all Angels from Heaven! The facility is lovely, They have activities and parties all the time, the food is delicious. My family enjoyed the Guest Dining Room several times on a Sunday, with our family, which made the Sunday's special, as we would gather on Sundays at our family house for our special Sunday Dinners at home. Harbor Chase was our answer to prayer

I’ve been here for almost 11 years. The Growing Pains and All. The residents here are treated as family. I feel it can be a very close nest family unit. The food is well prepared and served with a smile. Housekeeping is awesome. The nurses and staff all have a heart.

All-in-all I was very pleased at the care given to my mother. She made many, many friends. She loved the activities that were offered. Every day of the week the day was filled with many activities to keep the residents busy and able to interact and make friends which is extremely important part of life. My mom was there only 5 months and up to the day of her passing she participated in all activities. I wished she would have been able to enjoy more time there. I rate HarborChase of Plainfield a B+. I would rate an A+ if they had more staff to ease the burden of those that are on staff. My understanding is the food is o.k. I never ate it so I can't give that a rating.

the staff here is truly fantastic, helpful, accommodating, and always attentive. I really appreciate them making the transition for my aunt as easy as possible. They not only care about her but all of us too. What a fantastic place and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Our family made the difficult decision to move our Dad to HarborChase of Plainfield in the beginning of the pandemic because he needed more care. What we didn't know is how well he would be taken care of. From the executive director, to the nurses and everyone else who cared for my Dad and provided support, they did a wonderful job. These heroes are compassionate people who genuinely care. Knowing he was well taken care of, especially with Covid, put our family at ease. When my Dad eventually passed away, we were treated with dignity and respect by everyone. I highly recommend HarborChase of Plainfield for your loved one.

Most times you don't really think about your loved ones getting older until they do and in those times you can find yourself scrambling to try and figure everything out. This is where HarborChase steps in and REALLY shines. From top to bottom our experience has been wonderful. The executive director and the staff actually care about giving your loved ones a purpose. I've been to many places where you see people just being counted as a number, but here the love and exhibition of care is unmatched. They find ways to make sure that your loved one is not secluded, but welcomed into the family and it literally will change their outlook on life. Loved ones making life transitions is hard, but with HarborChase you'll find that your loved ones are smiling and finding purpose while enjoying a stellar community. I can't recommend them enough!

My relationship with Harbor Chase of Plainfield began in November 2015 when a family friend became a resident in the Memory Care facility. Since then I have been a regular visitor 3 to 4 days a week, which has given me a fairly objective mosaic of the Harbor Chase experience from an outsider’s perspective. Having visited a few short and long-term senior facilities in recent years, none compare to harbor Chase in terms of the atmosphere cultivated for the residents. The physical community reflects a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing setting throughout, from the entry-way and corridors to the resident rooms. Music welcomes you to the center and continues in the dining room during meals. Meals are plentiful, with a variety of (healthy) options offered to residents. Special requests due to dietary restrictions (habits) are always honored. Aside from the ambiance and amenities, I am most impressed with the bedside manner of the staff. From the directors to the medical staff to the caregivers to the custodians, all show genuine affection towards the residents. Caring for those who can no longer care for themselves can be an arduous task. Yet, the doting manner of the staff is what you normally only see with a family member. Equally impressive is the manner in which the staff has extended themselves to me as a visitor. Each visit I am cordially greeted by everyone I encounter from check in to check out. With my visits frequently taking place during lunchtime, I am always offered a beverage or something to eat. In short, I am comforted to know that my dear friend is in a wonderful place surrounded by staff that genuinely care about him and treat him like family.
