My dad is having a wonderful experience at the Atria Plainview! It is exactly as represented by Nancy M.! The facility is immaculate. The staff is caring, competent, and responsive. Activities are plentiful and my dad has no complaints about the food! Lisa and Emily are a pleasure to deal with both prior to move-in and thereafter. My dad arrived at the Atria Plainview directly from a rehabilitation facility. Since his arrival, he has made great strides working with their therapy team. Kudos to the Atria staff who run the exercise programs and to the on-site PT, OT, and speech therapists. All are wonderful. Truly, I cannot say enough great things!

I would rate 3 stars but this woman Nancy (with brown hair) actually makes this place one. DONT SEND YOUR ELDERLY HERE! The food is disgusting and they’re not doing anything about it. They stretch the food so bad and it’s the worst quality food because of budget cuts but the rooms are nearly 9,000 dollars..also there is a woman named Nancy she has brown hair she is extremely rude. Nancy is rude to residents and staff. She really needs to get her attitude in check. How are you a higher up for an ELDERLY HOME with an attitude like that!?! She doesn’t have any manners and she has one of the most nastiest attitudes ever for no absolute reason towards everyone. if she’s going to have an attitude like that she’s in the WRONG line of work she needs to work for security it would suit her better with that hot attitude. You can be extremely nice to her and she already has a nasty attitude prepared for you. Is this how you guys represent yourself because if so you guys need some real work done. For a place like this she should be calm, collective, nice, understanding and non problematic. Instead she’s rude, nasty, abruptly inserts herself into conversation with such attitude and she’s unhinged. When literally no one did anything to her. If there’s stuff going on at home she needs to separate it from work seriously!

From living alone in a two bedroom apartment where not much was going on to moving to a spacious one bedroom apartment in the Atria where he participates in activities galore, I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you to Nancy who showed us around the facility and made my father immediately comfortable. Thanks to Lisa for ensuring my dad fit right in from day 1 and to Emily who runs the most engaging programs, as well as each absolutely lovely and friendly member of the staff. My mother has Parkinson Disease, and my father has been her primary care giver. It was getting to be a lot for him to care for her and do all of the cooking, cleaning, laundry and daily chores. After she had a bad fall we wanted to look into an assisted living for them. We wanted them to remain together and have some of the caregiving tasks get taken off of my father’s shoulders. It has only been a week now, but so far it has been great! They are eating very well, participating in some activities, and they don’t have to worry about cooking, cleaning and laundry. They also have a driver that can take you to doctors appointments and other places within 7 miles of The Atria. That was wonderful when my dad was visiting my mother in a rehab facility. The staff at the Atria has been wonderful! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We’ve had nothing but a positive experience so far!

Recently, I toured the Atria of Plainview on behalf of my mother. Nancy Marsicano graciously guided me around the complex, reviewed the living accommodations available and the many programs scheduled daily. The facility itself is very clean and provides a safe environment for its residents. Having toured other places nearby, I was struck not only by the sincere friendliness of the staff, but by the smiles I observed on the faces of the residents. I have no hesitation that this will be the perfect fit for my mother.

We moved my mother into the Atria mid November and on her first day she started enjoying everything it has to offer. She is playing cards, going to movies, listening to music, listening to lectures and the list goes on and on. The staff is amazing and she is sooo happy there. My family feels so relaxed and at ease that she is there with very caring people and she is not alone. The residents are very welcoming and she feels very welcome there by all. She also loves her spacious and bright and beautiful studio apartment. We are glad we found this gem of a home for our mother.

I moved my mother into the Atria Plainview in January 2024, from Rockville MD. My mother had been living independently but was starting to fall and was frequenting the hospital and rehab due to injuries sustained. In addition to mom becoming more frail, We also learned that mom was not taking her medications as prescribed, probably being part of the reason for the falls. Before making the decision to move mom to the Atria, my wife and I toured several facilities in the area. The Atria was the cleanest, most bright, cheerful, and active community by far. Honestly night and day to other communities. We know that it was the only choice for us. Anyway, fast forward. Mom immediately made friends due to the community staff and social director prodding her to join events and get involved in daily happenings. With medication management and assistance with bathing and dressing mom has really thrived and is in better shape than we’ve seen in years. As I live close to the Atria and had opportunity to stop in on my way to work a few times per week, I was always warmly welcomed in to join mom for breakfast or just a cup of coffee. The community is really like an independent apartment with support. It’s a great place. Anyway, I can tell you that the Executive Director Teresa, Resident Relations Director Lisa, and Resident Care Nurse Director Kaylon are fabulous. They know all residents on a first name basis and are loved by the residents. They are a true family and make sure everyone’s needs are met. Even the visiting family. My family and I can not say enough good things about the Atria Plainview. You can’t go wrong.

I highly recommend Atria Plainview. My mother, who is in her 90s, lived at Atria Plainview for about 3 years. It is a warm loving, beautiful and clean place; the perfect size for the walker crowd. My mom feels very comfortable at Atria and I am comfortable knowing that people there care about her. Because it is a smaller facility the staff know all the residents personally. Several staff members go above and beyond in their job. There are numerous different activities, including live entertainment, to keep residents engaged socially. Having transportation available for doctor appointments is extremely helpful.

I can physically take care of myself but wanted to have companionship . Called A Place for Mom and they recommended several places. When I visited the Atria in Plainview the ambience was wonderful. My elderly mom moved into Atria Plainview this past November. After years of her declining to move, and refusing assisted living facilities, my sister & I are excited to report that she is not only just doing well, but she is thriving & enjoying life again. We no longer worry like we used to, thanks to Theresa the Exec Director, and her entire staff. Anything that mom needs she gets. I thank them all and highly recommend this facility for any senior citizen considering long term care. The facility is very clean, very beautiful, and in a great location. I cannot say enough good things about Atria Plainview. My parents moved in during the pandemic in 2020. The staff took excellent care of them. I never worried that they would get sick as their safety protocol was top notch. The staff is one of a kind! They truly care about the residents like they are family. When my dad passed away, they made sure to check in on my mom constantly. Every single person that I have met that works there is awesome! They are constantly doing special things with the residents. From field trips to fun activities, they have it all covered. I can sleep at night knowing my mother is safe, well and happy. If you are looking for a residence for your loved one, Atria Plainview is absolutely the place!!!!

Nancy Marsicano is head of Sales I want to commend. She is trustworthy and honest. Whatever she says you can depend on it, from the rooms, the food, the care, and the price. She knows her job and how to communicate with you. She is caring and we needed her to be up on her game and she was. She introduced us to entire staff and gave us food at our first meeting. She explained the transition and what each staff member does. There were no bumps in the road and everything went smoothly. The plan was made with whom my mom would meet regarding other residents. Nancy was a tremendous help at a time when we really needed her more than she could ever know.

My mom has been living at the Atria Assisted Living facility in Plainview, New York for more than 2 years. It’s been great for my family and I living so close to my 92 year old mom. Prior to the the pandemic, we (my children and grandchildren) were always welcome at the Atria where, not only did we bring joy to Nana, but to the other residents as well. Once the pandemic began, the staff was on high alert to make certain the residents had all they needed . . . the essentials, of course, but also the essence of the family they were missing. Emily, the Engaged Life Director, was on my 4 year old granddaughter's thankful turkey, because she’s visits "Nana" and we cannot. What an impact the staff has made! My parents moved in to Atria Plainview in July 2020 right in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. The fact that the Atria was even accepting new residents was a God send. They made the whole transition seamless during such a difficult time. Since we were not able to go into their apartments, the staff has gone above and beyond in helping them with things that we would normally help them with. This is a fantastic residence and we could not be happier that they are here. When I put my head down to sleep at night I don't have to worry about their well-being. The staff is amazing and could not be nicer. Every single person I have encountered has been 100% helpful. My parents are extremely happy living here and it is the best decision they ever made. This was one of the only shining moments of 2020. I would recommend this place to anyone who would listen!

Atria Plainview is the ideal Assisted Living facility. After touring several such places on Long Island, we chose Atria Plainview for several reasons. It is located in a beautiful community with easy access to all conveniences. The excellent staff provides a warm, supportive environment and treats every resident as family members. They are always available at a moment’s notice to make sure that residents are afforded everything necessary for their comfort and well-being. A choice of activities such as Book Club, group games, opera, movies, lectures and live performances give my sister a chance to interact with other residents who have similar interests. My sister is happier and healthier in the nurturing setting of Atria Plainview.

We relocated my grandparents here several months ago from FL ( they were formed NY'rs) and it has been amazing. My grandparents physical and mental health has increased dramatically. The medical care is much better, the staff have been there forever because they honestly love their jobs and the food is amazing (I receive calls daily about what their favorites are). There are in house medical providers, a shuttle to take them out and ample recreational activities. My grandparents were dreading moving back north to the cold and making the transition from IL to AL, but this place has really shown them how much better it can be when it's done right.

Spent 2 months there 5 yrs sgo after surgery. Generally satisfied but some reservations about the then director and some of her policies. Also some concerns about the menu planning and food prep by some members of the kitchen staff. Other staff members were great, helpful, and caring. Would wish for a more varied menu, better executed. and a greater variety of activities. Also better Internet access and more up to date software on the computers for residents use. Liked that I could have 2 of my cats keep me company.
