We enjoy living in the Cottages. The homes are beautiful , comfortable and the location is wonderful. The Cottage staff is exceptional. Brit is a big part of the joy living here. She is extraordinary warm, bright, cheerful, and charming. She has treated my family like family. She knows everyone and everything about Cedarwood, which is so helpful to those of us living here and to those who are investigating living here. Brit’s personal appearance is impeccable and matches her work ethic which is a blessing to everyone associated with her. I’m grateful to know her and have been been asked to give my opinion on her work, her attitude, and how she engages with her team and those she serves. We selected Cedarwood at Sandy for my 98 year old mother. Brit DuClos is the Sales Manager that helped in finding the right type and location of room in the facility for Mom. Brit was excellent to work with and provided all the floorplans and cost info we needed to make a selection. Brit is very knowledgeable of the facility and has a friendly, helpful personality. Beyond sales though, Brit has checked in on our mother off-and-on and been so very helpful during the time Mom has been there. Cedarwood at Sandy is a very nice facility. The building is clean and well kept. The staff are so very friendly and always helpful. The dining facilities are nice, the variety and quality of food is good, and the servers even recognize the residents by name and often know what to recommend to the resident based on their likes and dislikes. And the servers are always pleasant. The front desk staff are very pleasant, helpful and genuinely interested in the residents. Meagan is a gem and the other desk staff are equally great at their job.. The housekeeping staff are also pleasant and very conscientious, and keep the residents' rooms and linens clean and fresh. We are so happy we selected Cedarwood at Sandy for our mother!

My mom and I spent several weeks looking at different options for an independent living place that she could be comfortable and transition to as her health required. Cedarwoods in Sandy was the one that stood out the most with all the comforts and amenities but still have the independence that my mom wanted. I cannot sing the praises of Cedarwoods and Brit DuClos enough. There was no marketing emails, texts or phone calls that pestered me-- I had a real person who was so understanding about this big new chapter for my mom. When we looked at the Cottages, the timing wasn't quite right for my mom and I asked to be informed about availability when the timing was right. I would get periodical updates for the next six months from Brit and it was then that the timing was right and my mom moved into the Cottage she wanted. No high pressure sales but complete sympathy and patience for our family when the timing was right. I know it was difficult and stressful for my mom but Brit, Karen, and the whole Cedarwoods staff made my mom feel welcome on Day 1. I know it was the right decision and my mom felt that too. Now my mom isn't stressed at managing her house and has help with housekeeping and meals (to name a few)-- which by the way, the meals are amazing. My mom is closer to me and my siblings, which makes it easier for us to visit more regularly. I think about life a year ago and how difficult and stressful it's been with my aging parents. Fast forward to today and the peace of mind of knowing my mom is happy and comfortable is priceless. Also, I recommend trying the brisket tacos, Chef Jesse is a beast with the smoker.

Her kindness as well as all the staff is unbelievable a wonderful place for the last chapter of your life..my only concern is cost living on fixed income I was dumbfounded At how much it went up in a year..

We have a lot of fun activities and have developed a great friendship with other residents, both in the cottages and at the main building. The food is great. My mom really enjoys living here. She said the food is good to okay. Sundays they have less staff on hand and they have very simple meals, usually the same chicken and veggies offering every week. However, she enjoys the community and other residents and the amenities offered. She has lived there for about 15 months and is really glad she made the move from her previous senior living place.

Cedarwood has been an incredible place for my grandmother. She has been here for six years now, and we have been immensely grateful to be able to have her stay here. The staff go above and beyond to make sure the residents get the most out of each day. They have lots of really amazing activities that have a lot of thought and care put into them that fills up the days. The food here is really, really well-done. The staff really are all amazing and you can tell how much effort they put into keeping the residents feeling safe and supported. This is a beautiful facility and the food is wonderful. Lots of great activities and the bus drivers are amazing as well as the maintenance staff and honestly everyone is kind and helpful. Having said that”stuff is going to happen and there could be an emergency at night. I think everyone during the day is ready to handle anything, but it’s most likely that when your loved one will need assistance it’s going to be in the middle of the night”even if they are in independent living”that’s why they are there so they are not alone. I feel the late night staff needs to be trained just as thoroughly as everyone else and prepared for any situation. This is not the case. However, overall the experience there has been great.

Cedarwood is exceptional. Their facility is wonderful, but the staff is even more amazing. Many times, aging is not simple. Add in family and things can become stressful. Jesse and Lori go the extra mile to make sure things work out. They never leave you stranded in caring for your loved ones. My father was out at Legacy before he died. We are so glad our mother is at Cedarwood. She has needed to advance from independent living and through extended memory care. We could not ask for more. Thanks Cedarwood! Update... Mom passed in 2021. Cedarwood helped us through some very trying times. She was moved to other facilities and they were caring and helpful and reached out to see how she was doing right through the end and then followed up to check on our family. They have shared the love and compassion we all sought after and have needed.

I hesitate to write but I think it needs to be expressed as I am a little heartbroken. We recently moved my mom here from another state. I had done my research and was delighted when I found Cedarwood. I had been there a dozen times and every time found it active, social, and an all around positive place. They did a really good job selling us on this place. They said lots of wonderful things but here is how it really is. My Mom has made lots of friends, but the first morning she spent there alone, she woke up to someone in her room standing at the end of her bed. It was a housekeeper and of course it frightened my Mom. We were told someone would show her around for a couple of weeks and no one did. I had to call to ask. There really is no security. We were told the salon was about half the price of regular salons but we just got a bill for $225 for a cut and color and one manicure. If you do the math, that's outrageous! the apartment is nice, but the halls smell pretty bad. I don't know why?? I could say more, but won't. It's been really hard to deal with. She is generally happy, but it's been a bit of a let down. As with anything it's an adjustment but it hasn't been smooth. Hope this helps and sounds like not everyone has this experience, but for us it's been one thing after another.

If I could rate Cedarwood a 10 out of 5, that would be more representative of how I feel about Cedarwood. Cedarwood at Sandy went well above and beyond any expectation. All of the staff from Austin out were so friendly and accomodating in meeting our every need and concern. In addition, the facility, food, and activities are top notch. My father was only at Cedarwood for a little more than 3 months before moving on to the next life. In that short time, he made friends with nearly everyone at Cedarwood. Our family really enjoyed walking down the hall with our father to dinner or other events and watching the other residents saying hello to him by name and he responded back by knowing them by name. When my father's life was nearing the end, Cedarwood stepped up so strongly in recognizing and anticipating our needs and made the last few days of my father's earthly life much more peaceful and less worrisome for both my father and for our entire family. I would recommend Cedarwood completely without any reservation. Thank you. Cedarwood, for all you did for my father and for our entire family. We will always be grateful.

My mom moved from Montana to Cedarwood during Covid. She moved to Utah to be closer to family and left behind 25 years of memories and relationships in Montana. This move was incredibly challenging for her. The staff at Cedarwood were incredibly accommodating, supportive, compassionate, and understanding. Staff and administration worked with our family to ensure that all of my mother’s healthcare needs were met and that there were not any gaps. The cedarwood team rapidly coordinated a continuum of health care providers to meet her specified needs. Over the past 3 1/2 months, my mom has found her home at Cedarwood. She feels very cared for by the staff, loves her apartment, brags about the amazing food choices, and thoroughly enjoys the simplicity of sitting on her courtyard facing deck. My family is so grateful that my mom is well cared for and cared about and is enjoying a wonderful quality of life as part of the Cedarwood community.

We had just visited another Living Center and were discussing in short detail, the positives we experienced from that tour, as we pulled into the parking lot of Cedarwood at Sandy. We immediately felt the difference in the surroundings. The parking lot was surrounded by healthy, tall, mature trees and the entrance was that of a fancy resort. We stepped into the lobby and were greeted by residents who were enjoying the summer air flowing in from the front entry. The staff spoke directly to my mother and engaged with her about her desires and vision of what she would like and we were shown to each of the living areas of the community. We were so impressed with the Independent Living show room apartment, that my mother asked for this room specifically. What a powerful moment when she CHOSE this place and since then we have been blessed as we navigate this next stage of her life and continue to maintain as much independence as she is able. This Living Center has assisted my mother to feel part of a community again and has gifted her with freedoms that she perceived had been lost, such as scenic drives, friends to talk with, easily accessible entertainment and an overall quality of life that has improved in leaps and bounds. It has also given me the opportunity to regain my relationship as her "Daughter", while feeling secure in the knowledge that she now has a full caring staff to support her as "Caregivers".

My mother lived at Cedarwood for 7 years. When she moved in, she was delighted with her beautiful apartment, new friends, delicious food and the many activities available for residents. She went to the symphony, played blackjack, went on scenic drives, enjoyed barbeques and luaus and even did Tai Chi. As her health deteriorated, she moved from independent living to assisted living, where her care increased. The Cedarwood administration is to be commended for hiring kind, compassionate caregivers and staff, from the housekeepers and servers to the skilled and caring CNA's. They are also to be commended for the health protocols they put in place during this past year to protect their residents from Covid. Our family is grateful that we found Cedarwood!

I've been impressed with the management and staff of Cedarwood. They are fully invested in the well-being of their residents and approach their jobs as more of a ministry than a vocation. The executive director in particular works hard to build a community, and his supporting administrative staff have been just as helpful after our family member moved in as they were beforehand when they hoped to make a sale. That says a lot about who they are. Avoid the teaser rates posted by some competitors--you get what you pay for, and your family member's quality of life will be affected by that choice.

My Dad has been living at Atria/Cedarwood for 13 years. Many of those in Independent living. He moved to Assisted Living just as Covid 19 forced Cedarwood into full lock down. You cannot imagine how hard that was for my Dad. It took a tremendous emotional toll on him when his family seemingly disappeared. Even though he watched the news and knew there was a pandemic, he did not grasp the impact it was having on everyone on the outside. I say "outside" as if somehow he was locked up on the "inside" which he was but...the truth is, we were all locked up, locked down, or locked out on the "outside" too. Understandably, he couldn't see that because he was not out there to witness the sudden change of our reality. All that being said, there are people out there who never stopped working to provide our essential needs, services that we all take for granted. Grocery store workers, truck drivers, healthcare providers, etc. etc. etc. Now that my Dad has accepted his new normal, he and I are so grateful for the staff at Cedarwood for keeping all the wonderful residents at Cedarwood safe and well cared for. Every time I'm on the phone with my Dad there is always someone at his door, bringing breakfast, lunch, or dinner, picking up the trash, gathering his laundry, or bringing it back, weighing him, delivering his meds or something left in the breezeway from a family member. I could go on and on but the bottom line is these things could not be done without the hard work and dedication of both management and all of those great people on the ground (yes..HERO's) who chose to make it their mission to take care of my Dad. I know it is a hard job and I'm sure everyone is putting in overtime and extra efforts to do their job but I haven't heard one complaint. So YAHOO HOORAY and GOOD JOB!!! to all of you. Know that you are truly appreciated and that your loving care and dedication has not gone unnoticed!!

I am so grateful I found Cedarwood when looking for a place for my dad when he couldn't live at home any more. They have better activities than any other place I looked and have more opportunities for men to get together. My dad needed memory care a few months after being in AL and they were able to really personalize his care and give him the chance to eat meals with his AL buddies. The memory care staff has saved extra of meals he likes, listened to his delusions, and held his hand when we couldn't visit him because of Covid. I also have appreciated the communication from staff and management that is specifically about my dad. I'm glad he is known to them and they care about him.

My mother lived at Cedarwood at Sandy for several years when we lived in Utah. She was very happy there, and I was very happy with her care. The food was good, the staff really do seem to love and care for the residents, and the leadership of the home is by far the best I have seen in the six different facilities she has lived in (we have moved a lot for job and I always move her with us). Jesse Buntjer and his staff go above and beyond to make life at Cedarwood enjoyable and diverse in the activities they do with the residents. If you are questioning whether your loved one will be cared for and happy here, just take a tour and you will feel the atmosphere of "family". It has been my pleasure to write this review and if I could have brought this home and it's staff with us to KY I certainly would have!!

I moved in six months ago and I am very happy here. Very friendly staff and residents. All you can want is comfort, safety, and respect and they do so well with all of these. Couldn't recommend them more.

I moved into Cedarwood 2 months after my husband of 50 years died. I visited a number of senior facilities, eating at a few and touring them all before I settled on this loving place to be my forever home. From the first few minutes that I walked in I knew it was for me. Everyone had a smile on their face: residents, employees and visitors. Laughing was everywhere from the mail boxes to the Assisted Living dining room. I have now lived here for 2 1/2 years. I am kept as busy as I want to be day in and day out. Activities that I enjoy are trips to the theater, rides to the canyons and ski resorts, cookouts, movies, eating out at favorite restaurants, visiting the library, and inhouse Bingo, cards and games. I use my own car for doctor appointments and shopping, but I could use our handy bus if I wanted to. The best part of living here are the people, residents and staff. Everyone cares about everyone else. If we don't remember a name, a smile and a hug do just fine. We remember faces and the love from each other. The senior director, Jesse breaks out in song with his banjo at a moments notice. So what if he only knows 5 songs. You Are My Sunshine is my favorite. Drop by to visit and ask for me, I would be happy to show you around or eat a meal with you. The food here is very good and we have many, many choices.

I have lived ar Cedarwood for 31/2 Years and am very happy here with wonderful, helpful staff. Many games are offered, entertainment is frequent, bus rides to theatre or to different sites of interest. We have a beautiful courtyard where we hold concerts, luau BBQ or just walking for exercise. Residents are friendly and we welcome new people.

My sisters and I have lived at Cedarwood at Sandy for over 2 years. We love it. We love our "neighbors", the staff is great, we enjoy the dining room 3 times a day, (the chef is super) and the possibilities for activities are numerous. My sister has a plaque outside her door that says, This is My Happy Place. Truly it is for all of us.

You cannot find a better Senior Community or Assisted Care Facility in the valley. There are many activities for the residence to choose from, the food is fantastic, and the Cedarwood staff members are very kind, caring and helpful.

My parents needed a place to take care of them. This place turned out to be awesome. Clean, great staff and endless food since my dad can eat more than anyone I know even though he’s a skinny dude. Fact - he was the Chinese hot dog and hamburger eating champion for 25 years in a row. 🙂 In any case if your folks need a nice place to retire this is it.

Easily One of our valleys best facilities! The Atria is a place I feel 100% confident in recommending families and friends to as a solution for the needs of our elderly. Besides the beautiful building, and amazing food, what I value most about the atria is the staff and the culture that has been created. They work as a team And that only benefits the residents. Great place!

I have been living at Atria Sandy for over six years, and I think it is the most fabulous place to spend my remaining days (or years?). The employees are all great, and it would be hard to single out one individual over all the others. The Community Services Director, Nina Dziatlik however stands out as she is expert on showcasing Atria's attributes to potential new residents, and does a great follow-up on all these folks. As a result, the resident census is always nearly 100 %, which makes for greater efficiency. Prior to her arrival, the census was usually much lower.

Atria Sandy has the best workers: Sindy, Lori, Brittney, Sandy, Bruce and of course our favorite Activities Director. Thanks for all you do and for going the extra mile. written for Jean S. who doesn't have email.

My parents live at Atria Sandy and there could not possibly be a better place for them. I was having lunch with them two weeks ago when I got a phone call with some very bad news. My mother asked our waitress Lacey to pack up my lunch to go as I was upset. Lacey saw my tears, sat down her tray and put her arms around me and just let me cry. We only know each other casually as I have lunch there occasionally, but she was just so caring. She did not know the circumstances, but she knew I was hurting. This is just an example of the loving, caring employees at Atria Sandy!

Frank was at Atria before an acute illness. To get out of the more expensive, regimented "nursing home system", he needed a service to check his blood sugar 4 times a day paid for by Medicare. Jackie found an agency to do this, and Frank was able to move back to Atria. He's happier, the visiting health nurses are great, and he can enjoy the independence of living on his own and eating the good meals. All this because Jackie remembered his need, and found the solution. Thank You Jackie

My grandmother has been living here for 3 years now and we Love it!!! It has given her family such a great peace of mind and she has gained at least 10 years in youth. She is active, eating healthy and has made so many dear friends. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Danny is one of our favorites. You cannot teach what he has in his ability to bring a smile to your face even if you are frustrated with the challenges of aging. He is patient and kind. You can count on Danny to have a bright smile on his face no matter what.

I often visit residents of Atria in connection with my ecclesiastical duties. The receptionists, especially Norma and Brittany, always greet me with a friendly smile and cheerful words of welcome. I enjoy the pleasant, friendly atmosphere whenever I am there.

With all the wonderful and helpful employees Atria has I couldn't pick just one person. Norma Bird would do anything in the world to help someone and always with a smile. Hanna Beckstead , Mia Jensen & Alicia Salas take such good care of my dad they give me the peace of mind I need. Boushra Elkataib, Lacey Bowen & Amira Chavez are so kind to my dad and make his dinning experience wonderful. I couldn't ask for better people to take care of my dad. I am grateful we chose Atria over 5 years ago. Thank you everyone for all you do! Laurie Johnson, Marv Simmons's daughter.

My mother has recently become a resident at Atria Sandy. I have heard only positive things and been very impressed with the photos available online. Yet, today I called to get my mother's phone number and was very rudely told that the residents had private numbers and I would have to go through the phone company. I completely understand, and I might add, like that policy, but the way I was dealt with was very unfriendly and, probably better said, rude. I called with happy expectation, hoping to be speaking with my mother but I sit here now with some question about the wisdom of placing her in this facility. It was a simple thing but simple things often leave permanent impressions.
