Fairwinds Desert Point has been an incredible place for my aging parents to live. I never knew senior living could be so great! In addition to the delicious food, fun activities, beautiful apartments and personalized care, the management and staff at Fairwinds truly showed up for our family when it mattered most. We lost my father in May of this year, and Fairwinds graciously relocated my mother to a smaller, freshly renovated unit that would better suit her needs. Alexis in the sales department went above and beyond to communicate with our family about the new unit and connect us with service providers before the move. The General Manager, Juan, and the rest of the front office (Julie, Amanda and Kendra) also were instrumental in making this move happen and allowed me to stay in the guest suite to facilitate the move. Everything went extremely smoothly and I am so grateful for their many kindnesses along the way. The Fairwinds staff are exceptional and do everything possible to help residents feel comfortable on a daily basis. From the front desk attendants (Gloria, Elizabeth, Gani, Colleen, Fabian), the transportation providers (Ian and Sherry), and the Activity Center manager (Jo), to the assisted living caregivers, maintenance crew, coffee bar baristas and waitstaff in the dining room, Fairwinds truly is a place where everybody knows your name. This is particularly helpful to those of us who live far away from our loved ones; I sleep so much better at night knowing that my mom lives in a place where the staff truly cares. ’– Fairwinds Desert Point is a special place; my parents’ lives have been enhanced by living there. I’ve come to realize that senior living is not to be feared but rather celebrated. Every stage of life takes a village, and I’m very glad my parents chose Fairwinds Desert Point to be their village for their golden years.

I spent the day at this amazing place. Being a Caregiving and Massage Therapist I am in many Caregiving environments. Fairwinds tops them all! The atmosphere is Happy. The set up of the Lobby. Dining room and new Coffee bar feels like a resort. So so nice. Also, the young woman who works the Coffee bar. She is so genuinely kind to everyone!! What a kind and very hard worker.

A beautiful establishment with so much to offer. I really appreciate the concern by the sales director, Raquel, for my mom and her living arrangement. This group really wants seniors to live well. The location and environment are exceptional. It is a reasonable size community, where residents have space to move around and engage their neighbors without being overwhelmed. The quality of decor and apartment features really impressed us.

My husband and I have been researching independent living in the Southwest. The experience has been varied and often limited. However, at Fairwinds-Desert Point we were given a full understanding of the amenities, subtle pluses and minuses and no pressure whatsoever. The depth of caring for our particular needs was very reassuring. Unlike other facility sales persons, we felt our individual needs were addressed, rather than the usual sales pitch. We are in a holding pattern right now and beginning to make the tough decisions for our future health and general living needs., Alexis and Julie were extremely helpful and kind in so many ways. We had a need for an exception for our service dogs weight and they and Jorge, the general manager, were very understanding and gave great consideration to make a positive decision that included awareness of community needs as well as ours. When we decide we need community living, the Fairwinds-Desert Point will be our next home.

Nice living assistant place for anyone need more attention as you get older or struggle to survive by yourself. I like almost everything their, but as a health coach, author the food could improve. They have great chefs and many choices and even have gluten-free but no organic foods, and that becomes a problem as many fruits and vegetables are sprayed with pesticides. Learning about the dirty dozen could help many older residents survive a lot more as pesticides cause more joint issues than anything else.

My grandmother lives here and she loves it. It's basically a very nice hotel. With huge apartments some as big as 2,000 plus square feet. And all the room service you can handle.

After researching 30+ senior living options around Tucson, visiting most of them, and compiling an extensive matrix of data about each, we concluded that Fairwinds was the best. Now, with months of actual experience at Fairwinds, we definitely made the right decision! The food is consistently excellent, staff and management are friendly and helpful, and the activities are varied and fun. Especially happy hour!

I was visiting a family member that now calls Fairwinds home. For a place thats has a few more years of use it is clean,well maintained. The staff are friendly and engaging. From the front desk to every employee I met. All are courteous and try to help,resident or visitor alike. I did not have the chance to enjoy a meal there yet. It smelled good and looked quite appetizing. If had not just finished dinner out I might have sat down and enjoyed what looked to be an excellent dinner. Next time

Fairwinds Desert Point is a top notch senior living community!! I own a senior placement company here in Tucson and all of the residents I've recommended to this community are so happy and thriving. Resident satisfaction is extremely high at Fairwinds and I attribute this to the incredible and caring staff, delicious food, and endless activities available each day. Above and Beyond The management and staff at Fairwinds are truly wonderful. I have been impressed with my mother's care for the entire two years that she has been at Fairwinds. The efforts they have made during this challenging time of COVID, to not only keep their residents safe, but also to maintain an upbeat positive environment, has been remarkable. The manager and assistant manager really go above and beyond expectations to meet the needs of their residents and I am very grateful for the care they provide my mother.

My mother lived at Fairwinds Desert Point for nearly four years and had the time of her life.I can't say enough about how wonderful this facility is. Everyone on staff is so kind and caring . Because I visited her nearly every day, I got to develop friendships with many of them and they are truly remarkable people. The amenities and activities of living there are first class:.eating restaurant-quality meals in a beautiful dining room made you feel special; having the choice of endless activities, field trips, and recreational amenities keeps you socially active and engaged; but most of all being surrounded by compassionate, supportive people contributes to lots of smile and worry-free healthful living. I loved my mother very much, and it gave me great pleasure and confidence knowing that I found such an incredible place for her to enjoy. She lived to be 98 and I attribute that in part to all the care and happiness she found living at Fairwinds Desert Point, .

Hi, I wanted to leave a review to let new residents know that our facility is top notch. My mother has been a resident for 12 years. From the moment she and I walked in to FW Desertpoint it was home. In this past year my mom had a big health scare. The Health and Wellness staff was beyond fabulous. Hilary ( H&W Director ) was super, very understanding of my numerous questions, fears and our anxieties. My mom, is now on assisted living and her lifestyle is still wonderful and active. The Dining Room is wonderful too. Meals are well prepared and most of the time taste great. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. The ladies are kind and extremely accommodating to special requests etc. All in all I would recommend Desertpoint to any family looking for a place for their loved one.

Very nice looking facility. Unfortunately, the sales person did not provide accurate info. My parent is looking for assisted living. But, the sales person did not mention until an apartment was available that there were no "assisted living slots" at the moment. She had failed to mention during our "tour" that the facility is only licensed for about 70 residents to be on assisted living. Then, it was impossible to get ahold of Irene, the assisted living caregiver, to do the assessment for assisted living. They tell you to let them know within a few days if you are taking the apartment but Irene does not return calls for days or never. Be prepared to be treated with some disregard. My parent is elsewhere quite happily.

My Dad has been blessed in living at Fairwinds by an awesome staff who treat him with respect and genuinely seem to care about him. He has really appreciated how well they take care of him and has established some special relationships with the staff. The facility is always very clean, the food is good and residents seem to really like it there. Scott, the GM, has put together a great staff who appear to enjoy their responsibilities. Specifically, Richard (Concierge) Robert (Guest services), Kevin (Chef) and Hilary (Wellness Director).
