I have worked with Highland Glen for the past 5 years, helping place loved ones within this community as it truly upholds standards for care and community. The activities are creative and meaningful, they have community projects which the residents have a direct impact on doing for the community. The thing I appreciate is cosmetically it's beautiful it's not modern it is elegant, the food is delicious and is prepared from scratch with soups and salads with lunch and dinner. The care is wonderful and the team here has had continuity which is hard to come by as in healthcare many people are ever changing. The team here clearly loves what they do and who they serve which is our loved ones.

When I worked with a mobile physician group I worked closely with Kobi W at Highland Glen, Kobi truly cares for her residents and their families. The facility is very clean and welcoming. The staff was always friendly and their residents were their priority. Highland Glen would be the first facility I would have my own mother stay in. Highland Glen is such a nice place! The staff are caring and helpful. The facility is always clean and inviting. My mother especially enjoys the desserts. The residents all seem happy. I would recommend this facility to someone looking for senior care. Rebecca plans awesome activities. Haley helps my mother to be able to use the bike. Todd is such a caring, wonderful manager.

It is a hard decision to put a loved one in an assisted care facility but we made the choice a few years back to have our Dad move into Highland Glen shortly before he died. He was only there for a few weeks, but the staff there were incredibly kind and he even made a few friends during his short stay! We were so impressed that when the time came for our sweet mom to need the 24 hour care we couldn't provide, that it was an easy decision to move her into Highland Glen. The facility itself is clean, beautiful and very homey. Not too large like some other care facilities which we love. The staff really get to know each resident and when we visit, they are always so friendly. My moms room is so spacious and has a nice large bathroom with a bench seat in the shower. My mom continually comments on how good the food is and the activities they have on their calendar each day are so fun and engaging. From Bingo to bus rides, Walmart visits, temple visits, exercise classes, art classes, movies, nail painting and so much more. They do fun holiday activities for extended family members such as an Easter egg hunt, Halloween trick or treating, Thanksgiving brunch and Labor Day Luau. Our family really appreciates all these activities that keeps our mom engaged and happy! I highly recommend Highland Glen and their wonderful staff! Thanks especially to Paige and Todd and all the wonderful med techs that have taken care of my parents these last few years!

I toured several facilities to find a pleasant place for my dad who was diagnosed with Alzheimers. I chose Highland Glen because they have an Assisted Living and Memory Care. The residents that I have met are happy and friendly. The staff are caring and compassionate. This is a smaller community that feels like a family. My dad has lived here for 16 months and when I come to visit he is engaged in activities or chatting with other residents. I have been to family activities and a Town Hall organized by Highland Glen. They have a beautiful outdoor area with a water feature and a small putting green. I would highly recommend this Assisted Living to anyone.

Highland Glen Memory Care took good care of my father during the last 7 months of his life. Before that, he lived in the assisted living side of HG for a year. He had Alzheimer's disease and struggled with many difficult problems during that timeframe. The CNAs were warm and caring. He especially enjoyed the activities and outings. Our family appreciated the care given to our father in his final days.

My in-laws have lived at the Highland Glen for 2 years. We looked at at many facilities before landing at the HG. It is clean, beautiful, and always smells nice. The hallways are lined with lovely artwork. The CNAs are kind and friendly. Todd and John have always been good to go the extra mile to make our parents feel noticed and heard. We have been so grateful to have our parents in a safe, clean, well kept, friendly environment. We know this was the right choice!

My Dad lived at Highland Glen for 2 years. During that time he enjoyed meeting new friends, playing bingo and going for scenic rides on the bus. The Staff at Highland Glen did a great job of helping my Dad to be as independent as possible while also being there to help with any needs he might have. My dad made special bonds with some of the staff who were so kind to him. They were always happy to meet any special needs that my dad or our family had. We are thankful for all the love that was shown while our dad lived there!

We spent over 3 years with my mother while she lived at Highland Glen. It became not only her home away from home, but ours too. We love the staff. Its small enough that they know each resident individually. And the staff didnt change all the time, so my mother, who has memory issues . . . actually knew many of the CNAs and employees by name. Paige, Jon and all the CNAs cared about not only the residents but also their families. I felt at home here, and so did my mom. She often said, If I cant be in my home this is where I want to be. We had to move her about a year ago to a different retirement center to be closer to family members, and now more than ever I appreciate Highland Glen. They were so responsive and caring. Easy to work with. There is a feeling of home. here. We all miss Highland Glen.

Had I known that my mother would have loved it so much, we would have moved her here a few years earlier! Our family struggled for a long time about whether or not to put her in assisted living, but it was the right choice. Like I said, I would have done it sooner actually had I known how great Highland Glen is. the staff is awesome and its management cares. john takes time to talk with the residents and staff a lot. The nurses are great too and we just cant say enough good stuff. Thank you HG!

WOW. WOW. WOW. My father-in-law stayed here for 5 months before he passed away and it was just amazing. He felt so comfortable there, always excited about the activities. He said the nurses and staff were kind, caring, and always there to help him and they treated him like friends. It was clean, well-managed, and had a great atmosphere. The pricing was reasonable and the food was excellent. HIGHLY recommend!!!! You wont be disappointed.

From the first day I went on a tour, I loved this place and the staff. Todd was wonderful, helpful, went out of his way and so kind.John and the rest were so kind and friendly also. Though my mother was only there a short time before her passing, she was treated with dignity. I cant say enough good about them. If your loved ones needs an Assisted Living place in Utah County, this is for sure the one to go to. Everything was so clean, well kept, updated and a nice feeling as I walked in. My family loves Highland Glen. My parents moved in 3 years ago. Mom passed away and dad has been by himself. He is confined to a wheelchair and 90% blind. The staff has taken awesome care of him in his times of need. Be hygiene or someone to talk to. The facility is beautiful, just at the base of American Fork canyon. The food is amazing, wonderful chef's on staff. I would highly recommend Highland Glen.

Highland Glen assisted living is truly the best of the best. Not only is it beautiful, but the staff are incredibly compassionate and responsive to their patient’s needs. I’ve seen the administrator Jon, RN Ingrid and their wonderful staff consistently go above and beyond to accommodate and help their residents. Their CNA’s are some of the best I’ve seen—taking so much time, effort, patience and showing so much TLC to their residents. As a LCSW in Hospice and Home health I visit many nursing homes and assisted living facilities and I could not recommend Highland Glen more highly.

My father’s stay in Highland Glen was a lovely experience. From the moment we moved Dad in, the staff was helpful, kind and caring. I appreciated the personal, tender things they did to help him feel comfortable. Highland Glen is impeccably clean and all aspects of the building are in good repair. The food was wonderful. I ate there several times with Dad and enjoyed the good service in the dining room and the food. They have special family activities around holidays. I participated in the Mother’s Day brunch, which was great. There were daily activities to participate in. Dad and I enjoyed sitting in the Grand Room singing along while someone performed songs from Dad’s era. I have fond memories from the time my Dad spent in Highland Glen and highly recommend it to other families.

It isn't easy to work with an independent Senior Citizen who doesn't really understand what's happening around her, but everyone at Highland Glen has been so patient and helpful during our transition. Highland Glen is a clean facility with comfortable surroundings and friendly personnel. It's important to find a safe place for our elderly loved ones and Highland Glen has been that for our family.

My siblings and I toured about 9 different facilities in Salt Lake and Utah counties and Higland Glen was by far our favorite. The staff has been more than amazing to our mother, who is in the late stages of Alzheimers. The facility is beautiful she has her own room that looks out onto the garden. Our favorite part was that her room opens to big common area and not a hallway.

The staff have generally been nice and welcoming to me; they appear to be taking care of my mother as well as can be expected with a dementia patient. My previous experience with Brookdale Senior Living tells me that MBK has done a better job at least in this facility. One area for improvement which I would suggest - a dedicated hospital shuttle. Like all Assisted Living places with legal exposure, they send your family member to the hospital if there is any problem with measured vitals; which is certainly understandable. And ambulance services are obscenely expensive, as with anything where they can render the service BEFORE telling you the cost. Imagine what a value this or any facility could render with a dedicated hospital shuttle. Failing that, an alternative suggestion might be to have the parent company vet local ambulance services and price-shop them, to provide not only a better deal for patients but also to let the services know they either compete or lose.

This place is THE very best around. We did our homework first and it paid off. The caring staff, the delicious food, the very approachable and competent administrator John and his team ... it’s the whole package. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my father-in-law. It’s clean, modern, and they have such fun activities that include the family too! Many wonderful memories here. Can’t recommend them highly enough! It’s nice to know that there are still facilities and staff around to provide such a loving and homelike stay. Five stars!!
