Visited a dear friend twice and took her out for the day. (She's in the memory unit.) Everyone is friendly and kind and the place is safe and immaculate. This place gives assisted living a good name and I could contemplate having a loved one here if home was no longer an option.

I can't find words to express how incredible this place is. The staff, the activities and accommodations are all above amazing. Most importantly, my mom loves it. And she's not easy! I'm definitely sleeping better knowing she's in good care, that's for sure!!!

Richard and I came out to entertain the residents. We love singing for them and entertaining them they are always happy to see us. We have been here three times now and are scheduled to come back every third Saturday of the month next year. We are excited to comeback and they are excited too.

My mother moved to Charter Senior Living after suffering a stroke. She received wonderful care! While there, she often complimented the food. I feel that moving my mother to Charter was one of my best decisions for her care. The entrance is very welcoming and residents are often sitting on the porch. Everyone I met seemed very happy.

Mom has resided in the same room for almost 5 years. The management and staff have always cared deeply and shown it by their actions. Mom often says "I just love my apartment! I couldn't have asked for a nicer home!" It's a relief to have her content where she is. That makes my husband and I content too.

My mother in law has lived there 7 years now and we've been through many, many changes in staffing, directors and a name change. All I can say is since Danielle has taken charge several months back things have improved dramatically. She gets rid of incompetent people (and there were a bunch!), gets involved with everyone's case, makes the calls to make things happen quickly and deeply cares for her clients. Like, fiercely cares. There is now new and beautiful outdoor furniture on the porch and the hallways are kept newly painted and nicely decorated for holidays. She is doing all she can to help support my MIL's independence. Every time she goes to the hospital Danielle is on the phone with social services planning her quick return! It's overwhelming to care for an aging parent who is failing but she has been such an advocate and friend. The only reason for not 5 stars is the weekend help is sparse and not very quick to respond to her button at times. But I know it's hard to get good help. Thank you Charter staff for making this doable all these years!

My experience with Charter Senior Living has been great. The staff is warm, friendly, and helpful. The facility is clean, modern, and safe. Outings and activities are aplenty and are fun and engaging/interactive for the residents. The only reason I didn't give a perfect 5star review was that sometimes communication and medical/pharmaceutical services can be confusing or complicated.

Staff seems friendly. It always looks clean. The one comment I have is they say they have hired good chefs and feed meals that are equal to what you get on a cruise ship. That's not what I've been seeing when my wife is fed her meals and you never get styrofoam plates on a cruise ship. They appear to be very understaffed.

My father moved into Charter Senior Living about 2 months ago. He is very happy there and he feels very safe. The staff is excellent and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The other residents are very nice and my dad has made many new friends. My father says the food is great and that is saying a lot because he's a very picky eater. We've worked with Lauren when we were here for Respite care and when we moved in. Lauren and Danielle, the Director, are excellent. They are very accommodating and very responsive. The maintenance gentleman is also very helpful. The facility is very clean. The only suggestion I have is to add sugar free options to the menu for the diabetics.

My family member enjoys the environment of Charter Assisted Living. That is probably the most important thing. The facility is always clean, no odors of note, staff is friendly and helpful. Mealtimes offer 2 options of choice and food is fresh & tasty. The management staff is responsive to concerns & needs of residents & family. Support staff & facility workers, food servers and all levels of caretakers are pleasant to interact with and hard-working. I feel Charter AL is a more affordable choice for our family's needs while still maintaining high standards & adhering to all laws & regulations that the facility must abide by. My mother-in-law lived at Charter from March 2020 'til April 2023, when she died of natural causes. She was always treated with respect and kindness, and even petted and spoiled by some of the staff members. She enjoyed the food, made friends, had her hair done, celebrated birthdays, attended activities as she was able, and spent her final years comfortably, for which her family members are very grateful.

My dad moved into Charter about six months ago. We have been very happy about how attentive the staff are to his status. Whenever we need something or have a question, the Executive Director is very responsive and effective.

To me it seems to be a little under snuff... Even the machine I checked into when I first came in, upon leaving did not recognize my phone number, the one you just text. Even though the patient's room look clean and orderly, the floor by the bathroom was a little sticky... The room had a little musty odor. One of the clients coverlets on her chair, though they seem to be clean, the top one stank of pee. Half the staff seemed happy to help if you asked a question; the other half seemed like it was a chore to help. Very pretty grounds!

We cannot say enough good things about our experience at Charter Sr. Living. Everything they have promised they could (and would) do thus far, they have. Their team is delightful: kitchen, maintenance, nursing, admin, social, residents, you name it. They genuinely make an effort to create a family atmosphere. They do not claim to be perfect, but it is evident they continually try.

My mom has been a resident since mid-Feb 2023. Recently, due to illness, it was necessary to move her from independent living section of Charter to the Flourish Memory Care section. I was concerned about her quality of life, but I know now she is in the best hands ever! The Executive Director, Danielle, goes above and beyond in all areas of the facility's operations to assure residents are well and happy. She is a huge asset and the residents all love her! This photo from today is evidence of how happy mom is ! Rachel, the Memory Care Director, has also contributed greatly to mom's progress after just two weeks in Memory Care! We placed my mother at charter about 4 months ago. She had been in independent living for several years and she now needed Assisted Living due to memory issues, so we felt this was best for her. I cannot say enough great things about Charter of Gainesville. Being that it is a smaller facility than some, the staff are personable and get to know the residents very quickly. They make sure to check on them frequently and make sure they know when it's time for each meal. They try to let your loved one be as independent as possible, so they don't lose what independence they came with. . The staff are caring and kind and treat the residents like family. When touring this facility for the first time, I met with Lauren and John, the sales reps. They were thorough and informative and were able to answer all of my questions. They then had the Charter director, Danielle Chumack, meet with us. She is the most amazing, energetic person I've ever met! She is very involved with the staff and residents and interacts with them every day. Danielle is the glue that holds this place together. She always goes above and beyond to make sure my moms needs are met. I feel my mom is in a good safe place that will look out for her. When my father passed my parents had only been in Charter a brief time. The staff at this facility was so helpful and caring to me and my mother. Every single person was sweet to her and encouraged her, and courteous at all times. I have nothing but good things to say about everyone there. The facility was clean and she was well cared for here. She only left to move to be closer to family, but we would have been happy for her to stay. She was blessed by the care they provided for her.

I toured Charter Senior Living of Gainesville with my grandparents and we were overcome with delight. The entire staff was companionable and welcoming. The facility is spotless clean, without a crumb to be found. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting with the Executive Director, Christine and she was an absolute sweetheart. She addressed all of our questions and concerns and definitely put my mind at ease. Her professionalism is extraordinary. I can say with complete confidence that this is the proper place for my grandparents. I know they will be well taken care of here. I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful facility with the most caring, and wonderful staff for my grandparents. Charter Senior Living really makes you feel at home when youre in their facility!

My brother is here and it is a very nice place. The people are friendly and they do so many activities with the group. Love all the pictures they post. I live upstate NY and the facilities here are not very good. My sister and I said when its time for us to go into a assisted living facility, we would look to Brookdale.
