I had the pleasure, or inconvenience, of having a surgery on May 6, 2026 at Cody Regional Health with Dr. Etter, one of the general surgeons that we are lucky to have in Cody. This surgery required that I stay at least 1 night in the hospital on Acute Care. I have worked professionally in healthcare in Cody, Wyoming since 2009 and have had the pleasure of working with multiple doctors, nurses, and health care staff. This was considered a specialty surgery that Dr. Etter is very experienced and proficient at doing, especially with the hospitals advanced robotics use. From the preop call, surgery prep, operating room, recovery room, and up to the acute care floor, I have never felt more at home and comfortable with each staff member. The staff members were friends, previous coworkers, current coworkers, family friends, and even previous high school and college classmates. I was prepared for surgery by a trusted and caring nurse friend. I went to sleep holding the hand of a close, knowledgeable and trusting face, surrounded by a room of love and comfort. I then woke up holding that same hand and transferred to the acute care floor to another individual dear to my heart. We are so lucky to have this kind of care in this rural community and I was very lucky for this experience. Surgery of any kind is always a scary time in any one persons life. Some may not want to have a surgery locally while personally knowing each person involved and the risk of lack of privacy or possible embarrassment. That was not the case and I would choose this experience over again.

Diagnosed my issue(Kidney stone) and treated me and was on my way to recovery. I just wanted to say what a great hospital and ER staff. Highly recommend this hospital if you need help.

If you ever find yourself or someone you love in the hands of this hospital, know this: you will be cared for with compassion, with dignity, and with hearts wide open. You will not be treated as a problem to solve, but as a soul to protect. They walked with me through the darkest season of my life ” and for that, I will forever be grateful.

This place provided by far the best care l have ever received at a hospital. I was greeted by the registrar who was very kind and concerned. When called to triage by the nurse he was respectful and had a plan in place immediately. Upon arriving to my room the doctor was there waiting for me and assessed me and placed orders. The nurse worked quickly and made sure that l was comfortable at all times. The doctor was great about checking in with me and keeping me updated. The overall experience was exceptional. I wish l could remember the nurse and doctor’s names. They deserve an award!!

My wife got an infection while we were staying a few nights in Cody while roaming around Wyoming. We went to the walk-in clinic. Excellent service for our entire visit. The PA, Steve, the RN and the PA in training were very friendly and thorough in all they did. It was obvious they were determined to do their best. We made sure to thank them and let them know they went beyond our expectations. In health care I know that appreciation is sometimes lacking, but in our case, it was great!

As a cancer patient I went in with constipation and was not able to irritate. I got in fairly quickly and nurse catheterized me to release pressure. The decided to give an enama as I normaly have questions or concerns about how it would work I was told be the Women Doctor reminded me she had 8 other people she had to take care of I let her know that the most important person to that care of me as my wife and service dog were worried about me and hoped she would focus on my issues along with her other patients I was in extreme pain from a blockage that was difficult to handle and got a pain shot that did not seem to do much but I did have a small movement in my bows it seemed at that point they wanted to just get me discharged and out of there. I was still in even more pain and felt I was in trouble but was being released. We left got half way home and got a call the they and not taken my IV out and to turn around come back so they could take it out all I wanted at that time was to be out of pain and have a bow movement. It took several hrs more and much pain before as I headed to the bathroom that I got some movement and after some of the most horrific pain the blockage became dislodged and came butting out while I was standing and we blow out in all directions with a heavy mass of density all over the floor walls clothing. It was an experience I thought better to be handle my a medical protection for the amount of blockage and pain I was in. They seemed to just want me out of there without regard for my safety of health

My car was parked, and I was on the passenger side, door opened when my car was hit. I was hurt bad, but making a full recvery. I also want to thank MO in Physical Therapy. She's a remarkable, compassion and did a great Therapy on my knee, ankle and above all, her dedication. I am sure the staff is great in the ER, but if you are waiting for a loved one you have to sit in the vestibule. Not only does this seem like a HIPPA violation, but it is not very comfort for the family member who is waiting with no idea how long you will be there. I just feel like there could be a better area to wait. Ashley, what about downstairs by the restaurant, I hear they are closed right now. Even the area with the couches upstairs was empty when I was there. Actually, anywhere that isn't by the front door where people are coming in and out all of the time. Thank you for trying to making waiting a better experience!

I cannot say enough good things about this hospital! I was in Cody on vacation when I got sick, very sick, and was placed in the ICU for 4 days. I’m from a metropolitan area, and Cody Regional Health is better than any other hospital I’ve used. The nurses, lab techs, pulmonary techs, and doctors were precise, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about my case before they entered my room. One ICU nurse in particular, Julie, was the best nurse I have ever encountered. She anticipated my every need and worked tirelessly. Not only was she professional and knowledgeable, but she was very kind, personable, and always upbeat. Upon my discharge, Julie had ready a file detailing my care along with a CD containing x-rays and other data for me to give my primary care physician upon my return home. Again, I cannot say enough good things about this hospital; I only wish I lived close enough to Cody, Wyoming, for Cody Regional Health to be my go-to hospital.

Cody Regional Health offers top-notch healthcare with amazing staff. They are affiliated with Billings Clinic and have access to a wide range of specialist. They also have wonderful cancer and dialysis centers. Their staff is not only knowledgeable but friendly. While you are there make sure to swing by the Caf© downstairs for a great treat or lunch! Highly recommended.

The care received between the ER/ICU was the amazing, as a health care professional myself I was truly grateful for the excellent care, attentive and friendly staff. I had not planned on visiting Cody emergently, but would be happy to again.

Cody is a small hospital that can not draw the big name Dr,s but the experience I had in the ER was great! The staff was cheerful and understanding. They got me in and out in a timely manner giving me the best possible care they can. Cody is not a 5 star ER Trauma center with Dr, McDreamy on staff, but at least they are there, and do their best to help you with what and who they do have.

My son and I were treated here for influenza; the clerical staff, nursing, and providers gave good service. We received the bill and promptly paid the full amount, we then received another bill a month later stating that we still had an account balance. We called them up and the finance staff we spoke to were nice and as helpful as they could be. She stated that they had improperly applied the payments and they would fix it. However on our second bill it stated that if we paid the balance within the next month we would get a 10% discount. We asked if that discount could be given to us so that we could get the money back that we had over paid and she said we were not actually eligible for the discount as we had paid our bill on time... That is right, if you pay your bills on time you don't get a discount... you only get one if you pay your bill late...

This might be the only hospital in Cody but it's a beautiful one and the staff was friendly plus fast service. If you forgot to bring a get well gift or card they have a great gift shop there with great prices and huge selections to make any one feel the love or just to make them feel happy. Plus if you have lab work to be done, checking in early helps you to get out even earlier. Don't forget to say a prayer at there chapel. Really nice and quiet.

Back in the summer of 2014, we were staying in Cody, Wyoming while visiting Yellowstone National Park. I visited West Park Hospital in Cody due to severe dehydration and received prompt, convenient, effective, competent, economical care. In March 2017 we received a refund for an overpayment we made three years ago. You might say, "Why did it take them three years to refund your overpayment?!" Yet, my observation is this: What organization or business goes back several years examining their books, and starts sending out checks to people who have never complained about an overpayment and presumably long forgotten about it or never noticed it? They get 5-stars for their diligence. Next time I'm in Cody, I'm going to intentionally get sick so I can visit this hospital. That's how good it is.
