One of the CNA's there who cares for my grandfather, named Sarah, noticed that he didn't have many pairs of pants that fit him well anymore. She used her own money and got him several pairs of pants and shirts so he would be more comfortable. My grandpa calls her his favorite and says he loves her. I know she takes excellent care of him, and I am so relieved to know he is in such wonderful hands.

I know of complaints against staff, here, at Shepherd, and have made some of them... but, I do know that while some are warranted, on the part of the staff... most of the staff and volunteers genuinely care for the residents. For example, Marsha uses her sewing skills to make shirt protectors for the residents so they won't stain their clothing. Denise helps residents needing clothes. Brook is especially gentle. Susan ensures residents are paired well with each other in shared rooms. Things aren't always perfect, but I don't think it's because the staff and volunteers don't care for the residents.

My sister is in there, everyone has been so nice and courteous, my only complaint is my troubles finding my way around, lol. The receptionist was an absolute joy!
