My Mother in law was a resident at Sweetbriar in the last few months of her life. Our family cannot say enough good things about this facility. It was always clean, she was well taken care of and the staff went above and beyond to meet her needs. It was such a comfort for their assistance in these days since we weren’t able to take her home and care for her the way they could. It was a tough decision for our family but we are grateful that God gave us the strength and mercy to make the right decisions. Life is a journey and we aren’t made any promises but Sweetbriar kept every promise they told us they would. We feel blessed!

My father lived here for 3 1/2 years before his passing recently. He loved the staff and enjoyed the friendship of many residents here. I often couldn't find him, because he was active with the community events or volunteering with the FB Sheriffs dept. he also loved the food!! He was the campus food services director for Indiana University for 35 years and a Lieutenant Col in the Army. He had high standards, so if you are considering this community for yourself or a loved one you can't do any better then Silvergate!!

My Grandmother was treated with the most respect there. I appreciate everything they did for her. When she was passing a staff member held one hand and I held the other. They were absolutely wonderful. I will never forget how amazing everyone there was. Best staff ever! You know the staff is awesome when they cry with you. I can not praise them enough. My grandmothers obituary will be in tomorrows Charleston Gazette and we had to mention how wonderful this place truely was.

Silvergate is a lovely community. The staff is patient, caring, and they make a genuine effort to get to know the residents individually. The dining room serves wonderful restaurant style meals. The residents are friendly and welcoming as well. Silvergate's activity calendar is full of a variety of social, cultural, and exercise based offerings to meet the needs and interests of the residents. The buildings are clean, the grounds are meticulous and inviting, and the apartments are clean and well maintained. Moving into a retirement/independent living community can be an emotional transition on many levels, but Silvergate has done a wonderful job of making the transition comfortable and positive for my parents. I am so grateful to have this outstanding community a few minutes away from me here in Fallbrook where I know my parents are surrounded by caring people in a beautiful, safe, engaging environment!

My wife, diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimer, moved in the Silvergate Suites in March 2019. During her stay there, the entire staff took care of her wonderfully. As her condition worsened, the staff consistently helped her with genuine, attentive kindness, comforting her and making sure that she would be well at all times, until her passing in June 2019. Helen Gray and Mia Pacia's thoughtfulness were much appreciated by my family and myself.

This retirement home changed my misconception about assisted living. The facility amazed me with all of the entertainment options and the rooms felt more like an apartment rather than a retirement home. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Gay Rose, who knew the residents by name and was very knowledgeable and gave an awesome tour! Very impressed with Silvergate.

My mom and dad were both in Sweetbriar for almost 2 years beginning in 2000. They were very well taken care of and assisted with all their needs. My dad was especially appreciative of the care since he required the most help at that time. The facility was always clean and the food was excellent. I highly recommend Sweetbriar for anyone who needs assistance but wants to still maintain some independence.

Excellent location near Millenium Park, Goodman Theater,Orchestra Hall, Lyric Opera,Steppenwolf Theater,and a multiplex movie house.Walking distance to Sinai Temple,Holy Name Cathedral,Fourth Presbyterian Church,St. James Cathedral and Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Medical School.Excellent staff and a chef that cares about and listens to the residents.Above all,there is a camaraderie that permeates the entire environment that includes residents as well as staff.Since the financial problems have been removed this joint is really jumping. I have been here four years.

I will forever love and be extremely grateful for the superior staff, support team and the residents of The Clare. My mother has been a resident in the rehabilitation on two occasions (Nov 2014 & Oct 2015) and each one brought her to maximum capability status post, torn rotator cuff and total knee replacement. I have recommended the facility to EVERYONE who seek superb; nursing, physical and occupational therapy, nursing support, nutrition, extracurricular event coordinators, and support staff in an elegant and highly equipped atmosphere. As someone in the medical field...I have NEVER experienced a more efficiently / effectively run facility and in the most friendly / supportive environment. Please let me not forget the wonderful staff greeting you at the entrance or the security. Always with smiles, laughter and the willingness to lend a helping hand or sympathetic ear. Thank you to all at The Clare who took amazing care of my beloved (yet feisty??) mother during her stays. See you again!!!!!!! A+++++++++++++++++

My brothers and I are so pleased with Sacred Heart Sr Living in Center Valley. The staff was outstanding. They are welcoming, warm, caring and devoted. I was client at SweetBriar from November 15 to December 18, 2016. I was there because I had fallen at home and had broken my left humerus at the shoulder and had to wear a sling from 4 to 6 weeks. I had outstanding care while I was there. Al the aids were wonderful and responded to my bell ringing when I needed something. And all the staff from the director on down were very professional and caring. One of the best features at SweetBriar was the food - which was delicious. I never had a bad meal there the whole time. My mother has been a resident at SweetBriar going on 4 Years. In the past and the present she has had excellent care. We have a NEW director now and things are changing to make the residents feel more like home, such as new cushions and new fans on the front porch, new pictures in all the hallways and living room. I am sure other things are in the planning stage. I would like to Thank the workers and new director for taking excellent care of my mother, everyone is so friendly now. Mary and I have been here almost seven years and weve always known it was the best choice for us. Westminster Oaks has exceeded our expectations, even they were high from the time we heard about the place. Our friends live here, including those from Florida State University, local and state government and my wifes best friend. We feel at home. Our home was nearly built when we moved in and we had the opportunity to choose the furnishings, fireplace and screened-in porch we wanted. This community encourages activities with the fitness center, educational opportunities in the Maguire Center, and recreational events. We truly appreciate the level of kindness and responsibility of the Westminster Oaks management in accommodating our needs on an ongoing basis. Truthfully, I cant think of one complaint about Westminster. These are good people out here. They really are!
