Reviews Close to Home Senior Care
March 2020
Worked there as a house manager. They got new management and lied to and had me lie to everyone that they would keep there jobs. They fired everyone myself included. The old owners were wonderful. I have personally seen the staff be overworked and under staffed. The place has gone so far down hill that a Family Care worker refused to place a resident there.

Worked part-time last year at the facility performing lawn and garden maintenance. Patients would sit outside on the back patio to talk with me and hearing about their lives was highly entertaining. Staff always checked up on us to offer drinks when it was hot and everyone was very polite. If not for an injury, I would still be there today, listening to Mrs. R. talk about her roses and how much she enjoyed a young Clark Gable.

Both employees & folks who had family there have had nothing but great things to say - they really seem to care about their residents!

Thank you all for taking such good care of my Aunt. Im happy that she was able to have one more good year before finding her peace. I cant say how much your efforts were appreciated, God Bless.

I toured the home and was pleasantly pleased. Im excited to get my mom settled there as is she. The bedrooms all looked brand new and very clean.

I couldnt have asked for a more caring staff for my grandmother. Her room and the common areas were always tidy and she seemed to really like the food.

As part of my scout troops community outreach I helped with repainting and clearing out the storage room over a couple weeks. Liked how they offered dancing exercises and had a Labrador visiting for the people living there

I volunteered over the holiday season at both CTHSL locations, and saw the residents enjoying a variety of activities, from decorating cookies to joining in a Christmas carol sing-along with another volunteer who played his guitar. The homes were clean and the staff were very helpful when I wanted to learn everyones name and what sort of activities they would be most comfortable with me leading. We completed jigsaw puzzles, assembled foam ornament kits and one woman insisted on showing me her photo albums. Everyone seemed well cared for and content, and I really enjoyed putting in some time with the elderly in our community. I hope to return soon!
