Visited the facility to see an old friend of mine. Was very pleased to see how clean the facility was and how nice staff is. Amy Colson was very helpful with answering questions I had pertaining to diets and making sure residents were getting adequate nutrients. She is a superstar along with her coworkers. Can't highly recommend this place enough!

My father is at the memory care unit at Comfort of home at St Criox Falls, and Amy P is the manager for that unit. I love her dearly because she helps me with everything that my father is going through, I have never been through this and she helps guide me through it when I ask her questions about anything. I can’t say enough about her helping me.

I was very impressed with this place. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The staff answered all the questions I had and didn’t make me feel bad for asking. Took a lot of time with me. The place was clean and had a comfortable feeling about it.

As a nurse coming in from an outside agency, I felt welcomed at each visit. The team of caregivers that Rachel manages showed concern and compassion for each resident each day I was there. They individualized the care plans to meet each resident’s needs and family preferences. Rachel was always only a phone call away to approve changes and offer guidance. Staff quickly adapted to requests made and participated in training as needed to expand their caregiving skill sets. As I worked with them in the capacity of a hospice provider, I witnessed the staff share parts of themselves with families as well and the environment felt like a true home. Thank you Hayley, Patty, Nelly, Rose and all of the others. You are wonderful people!

Rachel, who gave us the tour, was kind and cheery. The atmosphere was pleasant. We are looking for our mom, so going from an apartment to a single room would take adjustment, as it would for anyone. I like the nature setting and bird feeders.

The staff have been nothing short of amazing since my mother has been there. The administration was quick, thorough, and helpful with the process of moving my mom. The caretakers have been really nice and supportive, and caring. Even the cleaning and cooking staff has been awesome, the facility is very clean, smells good and feels homey. I would recommend Comforts of Homes SCF to anyone looking for assisted living for their loved ones.

My mom has been here at Comforts of Home for three and a half years. We do appreciate the added aides that the management has hired. I know that it’s hard to get good help, but the aides have been attentive to my mom. Our mom has Alzheimer’s so she can be a little strong - willed at times especially when it comes to hygiene needs. We would like to see that the staff gets more training in this area as how to handle it when a resident doesn’t want to do something that is needed as far as hygiene is concerned. One concern of ours has been that the staff doesn’t answer the phone when we need to contact them about an appointment that’s coming up on a certain day. We would like our mom to be ready so that we can take her to the appt. Deb

We found comforts of home by accident. Referred from a friend. We stopped in and found a place to seriously consider for our father. He would be very "comfortable " there. We found the place quite nice, very friendly staff and a clean facility. Outdoors was nice, and location convenient for our families. Place seems like it has had some nice work done recently. The staff and manager seamed very knowledgeable and would make a great support system for us. The food smelled delicious and building clean smelling.

I stopped in without an appointment. Just looking at some options for a friend. I found Comforts of Home to be very friendly and welcoming. Lunch smelled great, staff was attentive and patient with the patients. The grounds outside looked taken care of and decorated nicely.

My husband has been at Comforts of Home for 2 years. The care since January has definitely improved. Prior to that the employee and management turnover was a problem, but is now as good as can be expected. It’s a problem across the industry. He has Alzheimer’s and can be a challenge, however he could also benefit from more activities to keep him busy. That has improved since Rachel has become the manager. She does an excellent job of keeping track of the care received by the residents. As in all things, it’s good if families keep in touch with what is going on with their loved ones and advocate on their behalf.

I have been at Comfort's of Home for ten years. When I came here I was very ill, with the help of caregivers I slowly improved! I enjoy living here, the caregivers try and make this the best place possible each and every day! We have a resident council meeting every month along with activities and get togethers with other residents. We have fun and people enjoy living here.

I most recently moved both of my parents to a Comforts of Home in St Croix Falls from a previous location. This was a very stressful time for all of us relocating them from a different part of the state. The quality of care they received at the previous facility was not good. Which prompted the decision to relocate them. I was going into this experience with a lot of apprehension from the previous experience. My apprehension was resolved quickly after seeing the care and compassion that my parents were receiving from the staff at Comforts of Home. I cannot say enough good things about the care they receive. The Staff there truely cares about there residents. Great Staff!!

As a hospice nurse I am absolutely beyond impressed by the compassion, hunger to learn and build on caregiving skills and technique and great continuity of care of patients established within this facility. The staff here give thorough comprehensive reports and are strong advocates for our mutual patients. The management team is friendly and easy to work with and it is very obvious that the prioritize the quality of care provided to their residents as well as team development. The building is very home like and comfortable. I’ve noticed that dementia patients especially thrive by the familiar feel of the environment. They even have the sweetest little outdoor areas to soak up some sun, watch the birds, and enjoy seasonal floral arrangements. This facility pays special attention to the details of each resident and celebrates their past their present and keeps them excited and positive about the future. I enjoy coming in to find the patrons enjoying live music or gathering for board games. They even have some patrons active in baking cookies in the kitchen and they smell delightful! The rounding physician and facility nurse are a special bonus as they are attentive and quick to respond on discussion involving patient needs. I give this building, this company and this team 5 stars!

My cousin/godmother was a resident at Comforts of Home for over 4 years after it became clear she could not take care of herself due to dementia. While she talked about going home (very normal and understandable), she also always told me what good care they took of her there and how good the food was. It was clear she adored the staff. When she started to decline, the staff were as worried about her as I was. And when she went back there after a hospitalization, they and the staff at St Croix Hospice took amazing care of her at the end of her life, especially when I couldn't be there because I had Covid. Thanks so much to the staff there for their care and caring.

Comforts of home St croix falls is a poorly run facility, staff are treated poorly by the house manager Janet, she allows staff to verbally abuse each other...this is not a place I would put my loved one if it was the last place on earth. Anyone who allows staff to harass each other is unacceptable and who knows how they treat their clients...your loved ones!!
