Just moved mom there. The staff and leadership are so engaging with families and residents. That was what was different from other locations we visited. The physical environment is very nice. Mom is in a studio deluxe so it’s super cozy. Gives us great peace of mind she is being well cared for.

We were looking for a place for my Father-in-law and from the moment we walked into the Residence and met Kathy, we felt at home. My Father-in-law moved in one month ago and absolutely loves it. Every single person there is caring and kind. I wish I could name everyone from maintenance, activities, nursing, administration and food service. We haven’t met one person who hasn’t gone out of their way to help. It is very clean and the food is great. They get everyone involved in activities. It really feels like home. We are so happy we chose the Residence. Everyone should use them as a model of the way Seniors should be treated.

After my mother suffered a serious fall and needed long-term care, I visited several senior living communities—but none compared to The Residence, thanks to Kathy Steffen. From the moment I met her, Kathy was warm, professional, and incredibly compassionate. She took the time to truly listen, asked all the right questions, and clearly explained everything The Residence offers—from personalized care to daily routines and community life. Her attention to detail, genuine empathy, and proactive communication gave my brother and I confidence and peace of mind during a very difficult time. Put simply, I’m confident that The Residence will be a wonderful assisted living facility for my mother. Kathy is just outstanding, and our family is so grateful for her support. I look forward to posting a follow-up review of the facility and its staff in the near future.

Wonderful place! Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is so kind and caring to my mom. They really do get the residents engaged in fun activities. The food smells great and gives it a feeling of being at home. Worked with Kathy to get mom a place there and she is phenomenal. She made me feel so comfortable and personally addressed all questions I had quickly and made the whole move in process so easy. She made a stressful time in our lives so much easier and took us through it one step at a time and made my mom feel better about moving into assisted living. I would highly recommend the Residence for your loved one. I really believe they flourish there!

We recently moved Mom into The Residence at Oshkosh and she absolutely loves it! Our main contact was Kathy Steffen and she is a wonderful and very caring person. Kathy was outstanding and showed great patience with mom in guiding her through the entire process. Kathy, and all the other employees, truly care about the residents. A safe spot for Mom. Enough staff to care for her needs. A friendly environment that is welcoming and makes her feel part of the family. She gets much more than that. Nurse Lisa’s assessment provided a clear path forward to ensure that Mom’s needs were met and that her environment in her apartment setting would be safe and comfortable. Kathy helped with the admission process, suggestions for furniture arrangement so Mom could get her beloved curio and enjoy her memorabilia, and continually checked after the admission to make sure that things were going well. Both Lisa and Kathy continually check on Mom. They treat her as though she was their own parent. The entire staff is friendly and very helpful, and caregivers have made and do make suggestions about safer equipment after getting to know Mom and her needs. We feel confident about the care. Most importantly, we feel that Mom is in a safe setting, and in a clean and pleasant environment. I would recommend The Residence at Oshkosh to anyone.

We recently moved our mother into The Residence. I cannot say enough good things about how much we appreciate the staff, the beautiful/well kept grounds, the whole facility is so beautiful and clean. The staff made the process so easy, Kathy and nurse Lisa are wonderful!! ALL of the staff we met were so welcoming and helpful, we know our mother is in good hands. Thank you for all that you do and for making a difficult decision and situation a less stressful one. Would recommend The Residence to anyone! ’

Staff is top notch. Very caring and familiar. They should be required to wear masks as several illnesses spread to residents. Food could be better.

Mom has been there nearly 4 years and although the staff continues to rotate frequently we’ve had an excellent experience there. I’m one of the most frequent visitors and have had very helpful and professional interactions with a majority of the staff. Our family feels mom is well cared for and safe!!

Very happy with how my mom is being treated. She says she is treated very well and that is what I also see. RN Lisa is very helpful and follows up promptly with requests. Caregivers show personal interest in helping the residents. Glad we chose The Residence for mom.
