I volunteered over the holiday season at both CTHSL locations, and saw the residents enjoying a variety of activities, from decorating cookies to joining in a Christmas carol sing-along with another volunteer who played his guitar. The homes were clean and the staff were very helpful when I wanted to learn everyones name and what sort of activities they would be most comfortable with me leading. We completed jigsaw puzzles, assembled foam ornament kits and one woman insisted on showing me her photo albums. Everyone seemed well cared for and content, and I really enjoyed putting in some time with the elderly in our community. I hope to return soon!

When I was a student several years ago, part of Columbia Saint Marys nursing program, I was placed here for internship experience. We worked closely with the owners, both nurses themselves, and applied our studies to the geriatric residents and their subjective needs. It was a positive experience that helped shape the RN I am today. Really seemed like a caring staff and the residents were a blast to work with!

My Aunt lived at the Bluemound location, but I visited this home too while looking for a place for her. The workers on shift gave me a tour even though I didnt call before I came over and they were serving a snack. All nice people. When I asked about Aunties wheelchair, they gave me the directions to the Wauwatosa location and had the owner meet with me. We moved my Aunt in after two weeks. Thank you for taking such good care of her and God Bless.

Worked part-time last year at the facility performing odd jobs. Several of the patients would always come and talk while I was there, and they loved to help me by holding a flashlight while something was repaired. I was told frequently to cut your hair, punk by one of the residents, who, by the end of my employment, shook my hand and thanked me for being a good sport, kid. Was a great experience with everyone at the home, especially the owner, who looked out for me and my family when times were tough. If not for a persistent illness, I would still be there today.

Helped build the patio enclosure here as part of community outreach and really had a good time. Everyone was super nice and I liked the older guy that lived there who wanted to teach us about WWII fighter planes.
