My husband and I moved to Highlands at Aero Park in May and still feel as if we are living in a dream. This community looks like and feels like an upscale resort. The amenities are too numerous to note. The office staff, Hilary and Tammy, are very attentive to any question or issue you may have. The maintenance technician, Chris, is a GEM! Oh and I can’t forget to mention the planned events. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to call HOME! Thank you to the Aero team

99% people warm and friendly. I accidently went to the wrong elevator. Was told by a tenant that I was in the West area. Sounded like a 'Them vs Us' arrangement. Also. Was told by the young receptionist that, after asking if I could, park over night in the handicap parking stall. Yes was the answer. Tuesday night as I was unloading my car out front, a tenant told me that I was not allowed to do so. I don't want to violate any rules my first week here.

I really haven’t move yet. We got our keys from Vicki on Thursday 6-11. We are slowly moving some boxes in now and will be until we have the moving company move our furniture on 7-13 That is the date we will be living at the Highlands at Arrow Park. Maintenance came while I wasn't here. He said dishwasher wasn't plugged in and that's why it didn't work. It was plugged in, all of the controls on the panel worked. The dishwasher doesn't fit properly in the cabinet. The top left of the door is hanging up. I slammed the door to get it to fit and turn on. I shouldn't have to slam it to get it to work. It won't last long doing that.

Beautiful apts! Great amenities! The indoor pool is nice and there is a huge lobby with a cathedral ceiling filled with comfy furniture. It is a good gathering place each morning… nice to visit together over coffee or tea any time of day or evening. The neighbors are very friendly for this 55 and older community. I cannot say enough positives!!! The workout room is the largest I have seen at any other apt complexes. The various types of exercise equipment are of high standard quality. There are numerous activities to enjoy, including simulated golfing. We have a Bible Study Class which is great and I look forward to attending each week. Caren leads us in many thought provoking discussions and everyone loves to participate. Nancy and Deb set up social activities for monthly events (birthdays, wedding anniversaries, luncheons in our building as well at surrounding restaurants). There are clubs to participate in such as the WOW Club (widows or widowers) to go dancing, out to dinner, etc. Sewing classes and various craft activities are lots of fun, too. Hilary is a strong leader at the Highlands of Aero Park and she wears “many hats” to keep things running smoothly. Chris fixes the odds n ends in our apts right away. Nicki is a sweet n caring person who helps new residents determine what apartment suits their styles. She takes time to listen and help problem solve situations when needed. There are a lot of activities each day to participate in… too numerous to name. Nivea keeps this complex SPOTLESS. It’s a joy to see her friendly smile as she greets us each weekday and we feel thankful for how CLEAN she keeps our community. This neighborhood has walking paths…and a dog park for our fur babies. Many benches are found throughout the property. The gazebo in the back of our building has many chairs, benches, and tables PLUS grills for us to use each day. . There are outdoor televisions to watch movies or sports as we relax or picnic outside. We are starting our own Library space with numerous books and magazines. AND we are beginning to grow our own plants (flowers, vegetables, spices, etc) in outdoor spaces as well as an indoor space. This is great for green thumbs, former farmers, and those of us who want to experience the farming culture. Our underground parking is heated and there is outdoor parking as well. I could go ON n ON… but I better stop while I’m ahead!

Overall staff is very responsive to requests and questions. Sometimes the “rules” don’t take in account that we are adults not children. For example using the pool…I have four teen grandchildren but if they are visiting we can’t all be in the pool area together. I always check first to see if other residents are using the pool and if they are we wait until later to swim. Its difficult to say only two of you can swim at a time. I get that the amenities are for residents and respect that but it is so under utilized. Also using/renting the aviator room…if the next day is part of a holiday or someone has used it the first day of a holiday weekend we can’t rent it as there is no one to clean it. We can clean up after ourselves if we have access to the tools to do so. Spaces go unused because of prohibited rules. If someone doesn’t clean up it should reported but all of us should not be prohibited from using the space because of one person. Can’t wait until there is another garbage area closer to Phase 3 as it is a very long way right now. Could use additional onsite storage. Willing to pay. When building Phase 4 & 5 consider where you put outlets and smoke alarms. Think as a user when designing!! Also my smoke alarm is maybe 10 feet from my range top and even steam from boiling water sets it off if I don’t always turn the fan on high! Would like ceiling fans in living spaces not just bedrooms. It may sound like I am not happy but that is far from the truth! We love living here.

We have new persons that have moved in, I think they are unaware of how the door works, in entering the apartment, each time they go in and out it has been slammed. If that issue can be addressed would be greatly appreciated.

We love all of the activities planned for us. The property is beautiful & well maintained, repairs handled quickly, communications prompt & clear. Only 2 things are an issue - the structure of phase 3 is such that the vibrations from walking in the unit above travel into the walls & floors of our unit and the dryer is not well vented - lots of heat is generated & we can't close the door on the laundry room when running because of that. Otherwise, we love it so far - only 2 1/2 months since moving in.

Chris was not able to remove the shelf from the "California Shelving Cabinets" in the MB closet but was able, ahead of schedule, to re-install our screens after window washing. He also made a suggestion concerning the cabinets which we're currently considering. Chris is a big asset to Highlands at Aero Park and should be recognized for his friendly and efficient follow up. The apartment is ideal for our needs. The Bark Park has been a godsend for both our animals and Mary and I. Not having the garage door and refuse containers under our apartment has been a great improvement.

Chris did an excellent job fixing the "wonky" ceiling fixture in my new apartment. He also continues to follow up on inspecting rain/water leakage at the patio door and a window and he recently improved the flow of water at the sink in my bathroom.

I am not a big fan of not mowing the hill in the back . It looks awful! It’s like they mowed everything else and forgot the hill. I know it’s spring still but would be nice if all the trees and plant areas had the fresh mulch and not just the condos along Lisbon and the first part of Hickory. Otherwise we love living there but poor landscaping is the first thing new tenants will see.

Have lived here for 2 plus years and enjoy watching it grow and develop. Enjoy the amenities especially the indoor pool area. Residents are very welcoming. Only complaint is I wish it was more handicap accessible for those needing to use power chairs or walkers and furniture more suited to elderly, lots of couches etc very low to ground. Lobby and hallways in apartment building looks more like hotel then a home like environment. Won't allow personal decorations on doors etc. Art work thru out very abstract and not geared to the 55 plus and very few decorations for holidays which would be nice.
