My Parents moved in this wonderful living home the end of Sept 2025 and their life and our lives have all gotten better! I can’t say enough for the staff here! I have never seen such friendly staff that seems to love their jobs so much . Its almost scary! They all notice you when you arrive or when they meet you ,you really feel like you matter and so does your loved one. I have worked in health care all my life and am very impressed with the empathy the staff shows to the patients. We pay attention to detail, the things that make a difference . My parents may not be the easiest people to care for at times but our family knows we made right choice when we chose Oak Park Place for our parents. A big shout out out to Matt, Samantha, Eric, Heather, Jolene, Jen R, AJ, Shanice, and all the memory care nurses and kitchen staff and everyone else that I forgot that works at OPP. You all make such a difference in making this place the BEST for our loved ones and we can rest easy every day and night knowing our loved ones are receiving the best care . Love the activities you try to get everybody involved in also. You’re truly the best !! Thank you so much!

I run Mission Karaoke and entertain the folks at Oak Park Place. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. After the shows we chat with the residents and the say they like it at Oak Park Place a lot. The Life Enrichment coordinator, Robin, does a great job with having fun activities for the residents to do. I do go into a lot of these older adult facilities. This is one of the top facilities in our area.

Oak Park Place took very wonderful care of my Mom and all of us. They don't just serve their residents, they serve the families as well! Great medical team, a variety of activities, with a friendly and positive atmosphere. The staff always greeted us with a smile and kind conversation. They helped us through every transitional step from Assisted living, to Memory Care, and through Hospice Care. The medical portal made communications fast and easy, and we always knew what was happening with Mom's care. Seeing parents through the later years and end of life is confusing and overwhelming. Jen Rankin at Oak Park Place Menasha saw us through every step and detail. They really take the burden and worry off your shoulders so you can focus on your loved ones. If you want your family here, great. Just don't book your tours with Tricia. She likes to lie to residents, their families, and her coworkers. I wouldn't book a room here until she's gone. She is the reason why some departments have such a high turnover rate and can't keep a good staff.

My Nana was under their care for the final months of her life. They did an incredible job. I would highly recommend them for any family going through this difficult process. The staff spoke to my Nana with respect and did not treat her like a patient, but like a friend. When my Nana was struggling to eat one staff member went out of her way to go to McDonalds and share a Big Mac with her. Her room was absolutely incredible. It was warm and homey. I am a wheelchair user and the entire facility was accessible which made it easy for me to visit. Thank you Oak Park for the time and the tremendous care you took of my Nana.

I have worked at Oak Park Place for a week and my experience has been very bad. I have heard many of the girls saying they are videotaping the residents. I left because the ones that hired me are the ones keeping up gossip and making fun of people. The place itself looks nice and clean but the staffers are horrible when it comes to caring for the residents. They sit at the nurse's station ordering food and gossiping about who they plan on firing without a cause or because they don't like the employee. I feel that the residents are neglected because it is the job of the caregivers to reposition the people that cannot see to themselves but in return, many residents have died due to neglect. The hiring team is bad because they will hire anybody because nobody wants to work there and then they leave after 3 days because the team is very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place until they replace the whole staff.

I attended a presentation on "Soldiers Stories" by Tom Mulinix from the Salvation Army. It was well done and well hosted by Tricia, the events coordinator. Best of all we got donuts because it was National Donut Day! We also heard the story of a WWII "Donut Girl" from the Salvation Army.

My name is Kyle Holewinski and I am a retired Sheriffs Deputy. Towards the end of my law enforcement career, I was in a dark place that was starting to impact me as well as my family. To try and make sense of what was going on with me, I turned to one of our department chaplains whose assistance helped so much that I became a law enforcement chaplain myself, thank you for the help, Lord! I started getting more into ministry and received a certification in Pastoral Care. During my training I took a personality identifier test which is used to indicate your strengths and good job placements, mine turned out to be healthcare. Since I had family members that were dealing with dementia, and after much consideration, I decided to apply for a job at an assisted living facility and along came Oak Park Place in Menasha! I was hired as Activity Assistant and helped the Activity Director make schedules for the residents. We planned events, played games, listened to music, made food, did arts and crafts, participated in Wii bowling, had one on one visits, exercised, dressed in holiday costumes, shared our life: laughed and cried, and the list goes on. I worked at Oak Park Place for approximately one year before I had to leave for personal reasons. I did not leave with any ill feelings, I did not have a dispute with an administrator, staff member or resident, nothing negative in any way, shape, or form. Then COVID hit and changed life for all of us. I cannot say enough good about each person in that facility, from administration to reception, facilities, activities, dietary, nurses, personal care workers, certified nursing assistants, everyone! The facility itself is nestled in the middle of a wooded lot, bordered by a park and a walking patch, this is therapeutic on its own. It offers the warmth, love and caring that you would expect in this field. I started to miss Oak Park Place, I was committed to another job, but reached out to the current administrator and asked if I could come back as a volunteer. I was welcomed back with open arms and go in at various times of the month and pray the Rosary with the residents. I am so fortunate that I get to see my previous staff and resident friends as well as make new ones. Oak Park Place has been a blessing in my life, and I thank you with a whole heart for what you do, have done and continue to do for our loved ones. Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they have made a difference in this world, Oak Park Place in Menasha, Wisconsin, you do not have the problem. With the utmost respect, Kyle

Being at Oak Park Place I love getting together with my friends and going on walks or when we go on the electrical bikes for exercise in the mornings. By far the BEST place I have worked for. The whole place is wonderful, inside & out. Its been such a pleasure to come to work everyday. Everyone works as a team, which is hard to find in alot of work places these days. I love everyone of the residents, they are always happy and smiling and love to share their stories, which I find fascinating. I love watching them have a great time when we have activities scheduled, seeing them enjoy every moment. I love seeing the whole staff giving such love & support to all the residents, or just giving them that extra one on one at times when needed. even on the busier times/days, everyone pulls thru as a team and does what needs to be done for all the residents needs. By far not a place that just "pulls people off the street to work here", always tries to hire good, quality people by what information they give us on their resume & application, however at times, people can make it look good on paper! I respect the fact that Oak Park Place always gives the employee a chance to prove themselves first, but will not sacrifice quality care to the residents if they employee doesn't produce the work ethic to what they were hired for and has to let them go!. I give 5 stars because thats all it will allow me too, should be more! I recommend anyone looking for a great quality, fun, happy, very nice, employee friendly place for your mom/dad, grandma/grandpa etc. you will for sure want them to come here for their home away from home. Please come check us out, you won't be disappointed!
