My mother has been part of the Brookdale Madison West community for almost three years now. The staff here really care and make sure all her needs are met. The nursing staff is so knowledgeable and really take good care of her. The Executive Director Robin really has gone above and beyond for her and our family. Robin has done so many wonderful things to make the community an even better place to live. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

We had to remove my dad from this place after being neglected. He had dementia. Visiting him one weekend, we found him lying in a bloody bed! When staff was questioned, they said they had contacted a nurse. Waiting for a callback for hours. No medical staff is there on the weekends. Luckily, the blood was due to a hemroid issue and nothing serious. However, the fact that they did not get help sooner and attend to him was too much. Think twice before having your loved one reside here.

My mother is a resident at Brookdale Madison West. The nurses; Christeena, Katie, and Kiara are amazing. They go above and beyond and truly care. Every time I visit it is a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The residents appear well groomed and very happy. The new AED Bailey sent a very nice introductory email introducing herself and has been a great addition. I would recommend Brookdale Madison West to any family who is looking to transition their loved ones to Assisted living or Memory Care.

My dad has been a resident at Brookdale Madison West for many years. He's in a chair and requires assistance for transfers. I live 1100 miles away so I have to rely on the staff to keep me updated when something changes. Most of the care that my dad receives is top notch. They recently tried an experiment having few caregivers after 3pm. I hope they've abandoned that because he often had to wait over 30 minutes for assistance at times. I can't praise the nurses enough. They are excellent and they cover for each other when one is out.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with this community for their hospice needs. All of their residents seem very happy and pleased with everything the community has to offer, especially the food. Cristeena, the nurse, is an amazing communicator and Robin, the new Executive Director is definitely going to be another asset to this community. 10/10 would recommend!

My mom has lived her for a couple years now and I can confidently say I am more than happy with the care she receives. Since she has moved in, the nursing staff, especially the AL RN, has continuously been exceptional. She has been in contact with me regularly from the start and even takes my calls after hours, if I have a concern about mom. She truly cares for her residents and the facility, and it shows. The directors reach out regularly, ensuring mom is happy and all our needs are met. Mom has a much better quality of life here, than she did at home. She socializes with others more now, through participating in the various activities. I am grateful for Brookdale for helping provide mom with the best quality of life. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place, for their loved one!

(NOTE: My pen name is Shoshauna Shy. I'm also known as Shawn Schey.) My mother lived here for almost a year, and I always looked forward to visiting her. I knew when I first toured that it was going to be a good place because of the number of residents hanging out together in the lobby living area by the fire or on the front patio reading and talking to one another. The nurses and even the administrative staff went out of their way to be attentive to my mother, keeping track of her likes and dislikes, and managing to be knowledgeable of her opinions. They worked to interest her in their activities (which were varied and creative, involving field trips, new-resident welcome parties and holiday celebrations) and sought her advice on what to serve in the dining hall. I observed this kind of attention being given to other residents, as well. I always felt like I could go to the nurses (Christeena) or the financial staff (Nona), and even the Executive Director (Kim) and get my questions answered within two days. Even with the challenges of COVID and lockdowns, Brookdale West came through. In summation, if I need to be somewhere other than at home in 20+ years, I hope I can be at Brookdale West myself!

My parents have been at Brookdale Madison West for 2 months. One in memory care another in asssisted living. A nurse is present in each area M-F days Nights and weekends one nurse covers both sections. 2 staff are always on each shift in memory care. The food could be better. Nurses Katie, Rita and Christina make Brookdale Madison West exceptional in my opinion.They are not just great nurses, they really care. They respond to messages in as timely a manner as possible. When i have observed a need for more training, or a change in care i have not been disappointed. They follow up on those issues and i do see improvement. This is why i gave 5 stars. The staff i have observed treat the patients and me with kindness, respect and patience. Another thing i appreciate is managements willingness to help my parents see each other if my father askes for help to get from assisted living to my mom in memory care. The seperation after 68 years of marriage is of course deeply painful. I still feel a need to be there once every day if i can. I would any where. The staffing issues of today can result in caregivers unfamilar with my mom. My observations help me speak up for my parents when they don't or can't verbalize their needs. It is not home but Brookdale is providing what i cannot in as safe and compassionate way as possible.

Egypt is the most caring care giver that works in this building for these residents she genuinely likes taking care of the elderly and disabled and treats the residents like her own family she is truly a great person and you don’t find people like that at every assisted living home❤️

Such a wonderful place! After talking to Heidi and Amber, who answered my many questions, I felt comfortable moving my Dad to Brookdale. Very knowledgeable team there! My Dad loves spending time in the pub and he enjoys the food; surprised me because he’s the pickiest eater. Thanks Brookdale for helping with this big transition.

I am a employee at Brookdale and I just Love the place and most of all my residents I have a special place in my heart for each and everyone of them,Brookdale is an excellent place to work flexible hours the pay rate is good and the staff are amazing....It will be going on 2 years working a Brookdale and I cant see myself working anywhere else when I leave my grandkids going to work I always tell them that its time for me to go take care of my other babies I enjoy my job and to be honest Brookdale would have to throw me out in order for me to leave thats how much I am dedicated to my job!

My parents have lived at Brookdale for 6 months, and we are all extremely happy with this beautiful residence. Within the first few days, all the employees knew their names, and they had many opportunities to meet other residents. They enjoy the many activities and outings and also the beautiful spaces within Brookdale. But the best part about Brookdale are the people who work there. From the front desk, to the nurses, to the aides, kitchen employees, and everyone else, including the director and most especially the activities directors, we love them all. We highly recommend looking into Brookdale if you have a loved one who is in need of assisted living. We are so very glad we did!

My Mom lived at Brookdale West until recently when she had to move to a facility with skilled nursing care. Brookdale is a beautiful community with some very nice amenities you cant find anywhere else. It is bright and clean and there is a lot for residents to do there. They held parties to celebrate the usual holidays and also some fun ones, like a luau, which my Mom really enjoyed. I would recommend it for anyone looking for an assisted living community.
