Throughout the years, Parkside Manor has had its ups and downs. In my opinion, its lowest point was years ago under different leadership. Today, it's the best I've seen. The negative review Kathleen wrote isn't constructive criticism; It's a personal attack aimed towards the administrator. It’s directed at one individual instead of presenting specific, verifiable facts. If there were genuine concerns, there are proper channels to address them, and from what I've personally witnessed, concerns are taken seriously and followed up on. You criticize staff for receiving dementia handouts, but how exactly do you expect people to learn? Education starts with reading, training, and continued education. Handouts are a resource, not a replacement for experience. Suggesting that staff shouldn't receive educational materials doesn't make much sense. You also complain about behavioral documentation, yet documentation exists for a reason. Those forms help nurses and administrators identify patterns, evaluate what interventions are working, and adjust care plans accordingly. That's not avoiding a problem. That's documenting it, in case you didn’t know how documentation worked. The claim that residents are simply being "sedated so staff doesn't have to deal with them" is also an enormous accusation. PRN medications are used under medical directions and are intended as a last resort after other interventions have been attempted. Throwing around words like "sedatives" without acknowledging that context is misleading. No facility is perfect, and every place has room to improve. Honest criticism is valuable, but there's a difference between sharing concerns and writing a review that reads more like a personal vendetta than an objective account. So, Kathleen, or should I even call you that, if your goal was to inform families, sticking to facts would have been far more convincing than launching broad accusations against an entire team. What’s actually beyond pathetic is your courage to write a review that lacks facts and knowledge and just decide to attack.

This community went above and beyond for our family. They rallied to complete everything in less than 24 hours, including gathering documents, completing a weekend assessment, and even coordinating a weekend move-in. Throughout the entire process, they made us feel genuinely cared for, supported, and important. Their compassion, responsiveness, and dedication were truly exceptional. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a senior living community for a loved one.

I have had an overall positive experience with Parkside Manor. The staff are kind, patient, and truly care about the residents. One of the best parts is the strong focus on activities and keeping residents engaged. There are consistent opportunities for socializing and staying active, which really supports quality of life. I would recommend Parkside Manor to families looking for a caring and engaging environment for their loved ones.

If your looking for a Facility that checks all the boxes you have found it, "Stop Scrolling", Parkside Manor Assisted Living and Rehab is your Facility, we brought my father in from out of state with a fractured shoulder and a broken spirit, a man who had given up on life, the staff went to work right away setting up rehab, working with his broken spirit and giving him a new lease on life, today my father is walking on his own, walking to the dining room by himself and tells me this is where I want to spend the rest of my days on this Earth!! From a man with a broken body and broken spirit to a man that looks forward to everyday and thanks Jesus Christ for this wonderful facility that put him back togather again! Huge thanks to Becky, Liz, Kim and the entire staff who give 100% everyday and love what they do!! God bless!!

Let’s be clear”before people start criticizing the kitchen, they should actually know what they’re talking about. The kitchen staff consistently put in real effort to provide residents with nutritious meals while also accommodating their preferences. They always go above and beyond to ensure the residents have freshly made meals and garnished with tender, love and care. That’s a fact. What’s being posted here by Dee Wright and C. Martin is not”it's a mix of assumptions, exaggerations, and a clear lack of basic understanding. C. Martin, instead of immediately attacking the kitchen, did you bother to read the menu or ask a simple question? Or did you just decide to complain first and think later? Residents are given choices, and many of them ask for things like soup or sandwiches. That doesn’t mean that’s all that’s offered”it means that’s what they chose. Jumping straight to accusations without checking anything just makes you look careless and uninformed. By the way, if you didn't know, which clearly you don’t, Parkside Manor is one of the best facilities BECAUSE of the food and the chef's dedication. You think it's that bad? Take your grandmother somewhere else. I guarantee the care and food service will NOT be as excellent. Dee Wright, repeating the same points about pudding, soup, crackers, and sandwiches doesn’t strengthen your argument”it just highlights that you don’t understand how meals are prepared for residents. Vegetables are steamed on purpose so they’re easier and safer to eat. Alternatives are offered regularly. Again, if someone chooses something simple, it’s because they want it”not because they have no other option. What’s really frustrating is the confidence behind these complaints when they’re clearly not based on facts. Publicly criticizing staff who are doing their jobs well”without even taking the time to verify anything”is reckless and unfair. If you have a real issue, address it directly instead of hiding behind reviews and spreading misinformation. And if you genuinely believe the care is that bad, then do something about it instead of making exaggerated claims online. To the staff at Parkside Manor: your work speaks for itself, even if some people choose to ignore it. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Most of the staff is ok sitting on their phones. Why is it for every other meal my grandmother has soup with 2 crackers & pudding for dinner? 4 times a week at least or a cold sandwich. If one dinner meal a week is not soup or a sandwich I would be shocked. We pay a lot of money here for my grandma to complain soup again, or cold sandwich’s. Please feed these residents meals for dinner. I was there 3 times this week and each night was soup, it’s sad. Last night was different we assumed it was a pot pieish thing but we wouldn’t feed it to our dog. The facility will spin this but we family know the truth. Please feed them food.

Moving loved ones into assisted living is never an easy decision, but Parkside Manor made the entire experience feel supported, smooth, and genuinely cared for from start to finish. My grandmother has been there for about a month now, and when my grandfather suddenly needed to move in, we had to make it happen within 48 hours. What was incredibly stressful was met with nothing but flexibility, compassion, and urgency from the team. They were so accommodating and made a very overwhelming situation feel manageable. I’m especially grateful that I took the recommendation to look at the new team in place. I grew up in the area, and while the facility didn’t always have the best reputation, the team there now has completely changed my opinion. You can truly feel that they care and their doors are always open. I especially want to recognize Jim, Liz, Becke, and Kim (the new Wellness Director). Each of them has been incredibly welcoming, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything is handled with care. Anytime I have questions, need something addressed, or have to coordinate care, they respond quickly and work with us to figure everything out without hesitation. I also have to call out Lisa and Bianca at the front desk. They are always so friendly and welcoming. I often ship items to my grandparents, and they consistently make sure packages are set aside safely and, even better, will occasionally deliver them directly to their room. It’s such a small detail, but it makes a huge difference and shows how thoughtful they are. It brings so much peace of mind knowing they are both in a place where the staff is attentive, communicative, and kind. That level of care means everything to myself and our family. I’m so grateful we found Parkside Manor and would highly recommend them as an option to anyone navigating this kind of transition.

The facility is clean enough, the attention to my auntie is alright. I see first shift being semi lazy when they say Oh second shift will change her bed, second shift will help her dress. Last week my aunt had soup 3 times and cold sandwich’s. I know lunch is a big meal but soup and crackers with pudding that’s it? Where are the fresh veggies with a ranch dip or fresh fruit. Any resident will tell you all we get is sandwich’s. The alternative meal is PB&J, that’s awful. The E D is nice, even new lady Jen. The worst is the nurse Saletia. She needs to be more mindful when she’s talking about family members because they might be right around the corner. And if discussing residents family make sure other residents and their families don’t hear you. This lady is rude and bossy. Remember you are in the business of customer service. Customer service is a priority not a privilege nurse lady.

I had a very positive experience with Parkside Manor. Their team, especially Becke, was so hopeful in completing everything we needed to move Dad in. They (Becke) answered all of my questions and were proactive in addressing any questions I had. What a positive, caring place for our family members. Really appreciate their support.

Great staff that make you feel like you’re at home when you walk in. You’ll most likely meet Lisa when you walk through the front doors - she is fantastic. Liz the ED is a true leader that looks out for your loved ones the way she would look out for her own family. Ceileta the wellness director brings a load of knowledge from her career in the world of healthcare. Make sure you meet the entire staff when you stop in for a tour with Becke!

Rooms are clean, spacious, huge bathrooms, walk-in showers, high ceilings, freshly painted, updated flooring. The building has a bright, fresh, new life to it with the new management team. Updated and freshly planted court yards and front entry ways have brought so much much life to the community. Residents can be seen enjoying activities all throughout the day. Meals are top notch with their wonderful chef of over 9 years.

My mother has been living at Parkside Memory Care for about 6 months and I am impressed with all that they offer. Beginning with Becke who gave us a tour and assistance with admission process to the regular interactions I have had with front desk and personal care assistants, all of the staff is friendly and helpful. I am at peace knowing my mother is in a safe, clean and caring place. Activities are provided to keep the residents engaged. I would highly recommend Parkside to anyone who is looking for the home for a family member.

I had been looking for a memory care home for my husband who has dementia for a number of years, putting him on wait lists and hoping when I felt it necessary to move him, there would be an opening at one of them. Parkside Manor was always at the top of my list, after touring it. It was by the grace of God that there was a room available when I called and talked to Becke in the office. She was so very helpful, with everything that needed to be done so he could move there the end of December. He has adjusted much better than I had thought in so short a time. It is comforting to me, knowing he is safe and well cared for. You are greeted with a smile when you walk in, the area is clean and welcoming. The Administrator is very helpful, Personal Care Assistants are great, the food wonderful (so nice we can eat with our family member occasionally), activities are always fun and engaging for residents. I would highly recommend Parkside to anyone.

This place is in a death spiral. Half of their employees left last week, key ones. Director of Nursing, Associate Wellness Director, Business Manager, Associate Administrator, Activity Aide, all three shifts of caregivers, all three shifts of med aides. That has to be more than half of the staff. What would cause such mass resignations? How are the residents going to be safe and cared for? The State of Wisconsin needs to step in, since the owners appears to be indifferent as long as the money keeps rolling in.

Every elder care facility has a history. My 98 year old mother was living with us until a couple months ago. I looked at all the options. Beginning with admission director Martha, the attitude was professional and positive. I go visit my mother every day. She has made friends and is doing well at Parkside. The suites are refreshing. Family and friends are visiting on a regular basis. We are pleased with everyone there. Everyone has been pleasant and the food has been good which is an added plus.

My dad has been here now for just over a month. The staff at Parkside Manor has been wonderful and has gone to great lengths to make sure my dad gets the care he needs. And if something needs to be taken care of, they are doing their best to correct the situation. Especially in this unprecedented time. The family truly appreciates the care Parkside Manor is giving my dad. And as soon as this lockdown lifts, we look forward to seeing it firsthand and getting to know the caring caregivers at this facility.
