About Library Terrace Assisted Living
Small enough to be home-like yet large enough to offer the amenities and services one might expect in larger senior communities. Library Terrace offers a continuum of care in a long-established, single-family home neighborhood. Located adjacent to the Kenosha Southwest Neighborhood Library, the campus is conveniently situated near Festival Foods, Walgreen’s pharmacy, banking, medical clinics, churches, restaurants and much more!
The assisted living campus consists of Library Terrace Apartments 25 units where seniors can age in place and receive up to 28 hours of services per week depending on their needs and Library Terrace Suites 20 units for seniors with higher care needs. Offering a continuum of care allows seniors to move in while still relatively independent and then age in place as their needs change over time.
Library Terrace Resident Services
A variety of services tailored to each resident’s needs are offered. Our chefs get to know the food preferences of each individual and menus feature fresh fruits and vegetables plus high quality meats and fish. We offer daily, life enriching activities aligned with the interests of our residents including a Senior Fitness program with Tai Chi classes. Our focus on the whole person providing a range of customer-driven programs, activities and events that encourage participation, health, laughter and lasting memories. Our residents can continue to be part of the Kenosha community by participating in our programs, events and activities that benefit local nonprofit agencies.

(800) 755-1458The smaller building size can ease the transition from a home of many years and allows new residents to quickly get to know the staff and other Library Terrace seniors. Service packages are based on the nurse’s assessment and customized to meet individual needs. Levels of care allow services to be increased or decreased as resident needs change over time.
Our full time on campus registered nurse does weekly wellness checks and works closely with our direct care staff to monitor changes in condition. Our 24/7 staff are here to respond to needs as they arise, day or night. Families and medical professionals are kept apprised of changes and concerns as they occur. At Library Terrace the focus is on the whole person including physical, spiritual, social and mental well-being.
Library Terrace Director & Staff
Our Campus Executive Director is here to help not just for our residents but their family members as well. Continued ties with the local community are encouraged as well as maintaining the independence of each individual for as long as possible. At Library Terrace, we are committed to providing resident-driven services tailored to each individual living on our campus. As a Participant in the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA) Diamond Accreditation program, we are investing in continued improvement in all we provide to our residents.
Our staff does its utmost to promote a smooth transition for each move-in and help them integrate into daily activities and to get to know the other residents who live in their building. We, in turn, focus on providing our employees the training and tools to be effective in their jobs. Our excellent team of caring and dedicated employees are what set us apart from the other providers in the Kenosha community.

Library Terrace – Reviews

Great facility, staff is amazing. They take good care of their residents.

Library Terrace has been a God-Send for our family. We are now blessed with the peace of mind that comes with knowing our Dad is safe and well-cared for. We tried what we could to keep him at home. Senior delivery meals were often found half eaten. The turnover with in-home care was so frequent we were never confident or comfortable having so many different people coming and going. He wasnt eating healthy meals, he wasnt staying hydrated, he was at risk for falls, and he was either sleeping or watching TV most of the day. His quality of life was gone. Life has changed for Dad. He is getting regular, home-cooked meals; he exercises daily, he participates in activities with other residents and keeps updated on current events. His Suite and the surrounding common areas are well-appointed, but homey. The number of suites is small enough that he knows all of his neighbors and the staff. Activity Director Robin has become a member of the family; Campus Nurse Sarah is attentive to anything that he needs. He remarks regularly on how quickly a staff member arrives when he calls even if it is just to open the twist off cap off a drink. He has his own Suite decorated just as he likes it; the grounds are beautiful and provide an opportunity for bird watching and gardening. He is truly living in a community and I can't begin to say enough about his new home.

My mom recently moved into Library Terrace Apartments and is very happy and feels at home. She previously lived at larger assisted living facility in Kenosha, however we found that she was not receiving the quality of care and attention that she needed due to care staff turnover and under-staffing on the weekends. We met with Kim and Sara at Library Terrace Apartments and knew we had found the right home for Mom. The staff truly cares about their residents and encourages them to remain as independent as possible. Mom likes to do her own laundry and is encouraged to use the washer and dryer when available. Library Terrace Apartments offers high quality meals with a wide variety of menu items. There are interesting activities offered throughout the week that residents can choose to participate in. Mom's favorite activity is Bingo and was pleased to learn it's offered twice a week! Mom's studio apartment is spacious with a large window, two fully closets and large cabinets in the bathroom. There are safety bars located in several places in the bathroom. Kim, the executive director and Sara, the lead nursing staff, are quick to respond to my emails or calls. If Mom needs a change in medicines, they communicate the orders to the pharmacy in a timely manner. I now have peace of mind that Mom is being cared for and has a healthy and positive living environment with consistent staffing. I highly recommend Library Terrace Apartments.

We have two family members at Library Terrace. The staff has always treated them with the utmost care and kindness. The staff is also very good at keeping us informed and working with us to provide the best living situation for them.

I have been looking for a place that my Mother would feel welcome, happy and safe, for over a year. Library Terrace is that place. The staff is wonderful and are very respectful to the tenants and their family. They offer a great inclusive atmosphere. There is never a lack of things for the residents to do, from crafts, games, exercise, music, car shows....they have even had the Milwaukee Brewers Racing Sausages stop buy. This is a great choice for an assisted living apartment.

Love this place! I've worked here for 2 1/2 years and enjoyed every minute of it. I have even been given the opportunity to advance within the organization. The staff is wonderful and most have been here for quite some time so we feel like family. The chefs are one of a kind and make delicious food. I never bring lunch because I love eat to here! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and is a home away from home. I would definitely recommend Library Terrace to all my friends and family.
