The day we scheduled a visit to explore Charter for my Dad the facility was impacted by a power outage the night before due to a powerful storm. Rather than ask us to reschedule, they provided the tour and information to our family as planned. It was really great watching the Team come together to be sure all residents were being taken care of and that all facets of the facility were functioning. It was a GREAT first impression. My dad moved in 6 weeks later and we are very happy with the facility, staff and leadership. Bravo Charter, bravo!

We moved my brother Gerald into Meadowmere of March 2020. This was when Covid first hit so this was not an easy move but we were very happy to get him into his apartment during this time. I can not say enough about the excellent staff at Meadowmere. Diana was very instrumental in showing us around and making sure that our move went as smoothly as possible. During Covid we were able to set up 45 minute slot times for visitation outside when the weather permitted. Roxanne was always there with a smile and to make sure that everyone was following protocol for covid during these visitations. Susie and Rhonda, two of the nurses that help care for Jerry, always keep in touch with the family about his medical needs and their expertise helps us all get through some difficult times. Jerry has really come to enjoy being at Meadowmere. I've only mentioned a few of the staff but Jerry has gained many friendships with many of the staff members that help him out on a daily basis. Meadowmere is a very clean and friendly environment and I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place where you know your loved one will be taken care of and a place that they will be happy.

Charter treats everyone that walks in the door like family. The staff is friendly, approachable, and truly loves the residents. There are activities all day long, the food is fantastic, they have a library, hair salon and a bus to go to the casino, stores It is a relief to know my mom is being loved, cared for, and watched over by a dedicated staff. She always says how all the staff is so nice. I would highly recommend Charter for your loved one.

We absolutely love this place!! Our family has 2 members at this facility. The staff is Amazing!! Very welcoming. I’m very happy we decided to have our loved ones live here. I can rest at night knowing that our loved ones will be taken care of. I would highly recommend this place.

The team at Charter in Kenosha is amazing. They are friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Our family has felt so special since the awesome little red carpet’ welcome they received when they moved in. The management and employees always make you feel so at home. And a huge bonus was being able to keep our pet! They are a big part of our family!

I cannot say enough positive things about Charter. Laneesha, Roxanne, Emily, Katrina, and many others made my mother so welcome here. They provide kind, caring, and compassionate care. My brother and I agree this was by far, the best place for our mom. She made friends, was able to socialize, participated in many of the activities offered, even going on a couple of the resident outings. If mom needed assistance, there was no hesitation by the wonderful staff. They were always so helpful. Unfortunately we had to place our mother in hospice. Everyone at Charter was at the ready to make our mom as comfortable as possible, helped arrange everything. The compassion these folks have for their residents is unwavering. I would recommend Charter to anyone. If you want your loved one to be truly cared for, look no furtheryou’ve found home.

This place was wonderful. We choice this place for my 86 year old Aunt because of the location and the layout. It is on beautiful grounds, there are many apartment styles to choose from, daily activities and a real sense of community. The staff was great, patient, kind and very accommodating. The entire place inside and out is very clean. I loved all the amenities that are available; even their own bus to transport their citizens to appointments and go on outings. It really was top notch!

Amazing Care. Amazing Staff! My father and mother both lived here. Dad 4 years Mom 12 years. As her health declined the staff worked with family and her medical doctors to meet her needs. The aides assit with medication, personal care, housekeeping, laundry; depending on the residents different needs. We were very happy there is onsite physical therapy when the doctor ordered it. Also the weekly fitness programs they held. The staff becomes part of the family. They are very attentive and caring. The meals are good and nutritious with a variety of daily options. (Have eaten many meals there myself). Plenty of daily activities if residents choose to participate. They do plan outings and have special programs and celebrations come visit Ther is even weekly grocery run. The residents can go to the store or put in an order and the staff will pick up groceries and deliver to the room. It a benefical to have a small beauty salon for hair and nails. They both enjoyed the weekly religious services that meet in the common room "Grandma' Kitchen". Its an excellent place to make a new home when the time comes. I can not thank the amazing staff enough for the care they give (front office, kitchen, dining room, personal aides, activities, house keeping and maintenance).

Photos are false at this facility. Plus they never answer there phones. Lost my moms paper work to go the doctors and they never can kept a cook. And emplyees there are not very helpful.

I'm glad I moved back in town because if it wasn't for me going over to help my Grandmother. She would be S.O.L. Every time she asks for help they tell her they will find someone and then noone ever comes to help her when needed and then makes her feel quilty about asking for help because they are short staffed. Umm thats not her fault. You are an assisted living facility and that's your job! Now she's afraid to ask for any help because of that and she shouldn't feel that way. So just to have her bed made. I have to drop evrything and go make her bed for her because she can't get any help. Very disappointed.

I have had the benefit of observing Meadowmere Southport's care for both my mother-in-law AND mother. After seeing my mother-in-law there and the care she received, I had not the slightest hesitation in working with my mom to bring her there as well. The staff is very helpful. I won't mention names specifically (because it's a quality staff throughout), but I will say that I have worked closely with individuals on staff that give a wonderful personal touch. They have a gentleman working there that does sort of "everything" for people, fixing things, maintenance, etc., etc. - my mom RAVES about this guy! Bottom line is that I couldn't ask for more than they've done, having seen dear loved ones cared for there.

Yes, I have visited Meadowmere a few times. They are wonderful.I like their system of service.They have good and competent staff, and they take good care of their inmates .

Our Mother has been living at Meadowmere for about 4 months now. She loves her new home. Why? The Meadowmere staff are very friendly, caring, and attentive to the needs of the residents. It's small enough that everyone can get special attention. I have been there many times and have seen this care. The food is delicious, and the kitchen staff give the residents many varied choices at every meal. Their dining room is very clean and cheerful. There are lots of activities everyday for anyone who wants to be with others. Mom also has access to their buses that take her grocery shopping, and also errand trips like going to the bank and drug stores. I would recommend Meadowmere to my friends.
