I am the new Life Enrichment Coordinator at Our House Senior Living, I have major goals for the activities of our house. I hate how some Senior living homes have boring activities like coloring for these men and women to do. I have scrapbooking, stamping/ card making, cooking class, chair dancing, chair yoga, 50s-60s music karaoke, movie nights with older black and white movies, relaxing foot spa, relaxing hand massages, relieving back pain stretches, etc planned for our residents. Along with big party's with themes. Since most of our residents struggle with memory loss I want to make every day a new and exciting day for these wonderful men and women. Most homes end up treating their residents like they are toddlers because memory loss can revert your mind back to an age when you were younger. Not at Our House. I have been working in this field for 8+ years, and I LOVE how the workers treat our residents and how cheerful all the residents are. The potential for Our house is rising and rooms are closing quickly, but if you have the opportunity to get your loved ones into our home you would not regret it. We also have a Facebook page for Eau Claire that you can follow and see just what we do everyday. Our goal is to raise the potential of care for the elderly men and women that raised our generations and worked hard their entire life. Because THEY DESERVE THE BEST!

Approximately five months ago we transferred Mom to Our House from a different memory care facility. It was a welcome change to have staff so engaged with her, making her feel secure and loved. While her dementia has advanced in recent months, they have not given up on her, always finding ways to encourage interaction and finding ways to make her smile and respond appropriately to their communication efforts. I can’t say enough about the great staff - they treat us as family and are willing to address any concerns we might have. If you have a loved that has been diagnosed with memory care issues I would strongly recommend Our House.

My mother has been at Our House for 5 months. It is a wonderful place for her and she settled in quickly, in large part to the friendly, caring staff. They are the best! There are many more activities for the residents than where she was previously. It's great to see the Facebook postings of some of the activities and special events they do for holidays or just a fun event. They even recently had a prom for the residents. I am so happy my mother is at Our House.

Our House in Eau Claire, WI. They do care and we can tell by the pictures they share and the updates we receive from social workers and staff. When mom is having a difficult time the staff knows how to redirect her to more positive things. They post on Facebook the activities they do - its always so nice to see their happy faces. Were blessed that our loved ones get to share movies and meals with each other. Clothes and bodies are clean. Meals are yummy. Theres always a couple special days each month and birthdays are recognized, too. The residents and staff are like one big family. Thank you. 🙂

A wonderful facility! The management is responsive, warm and trustworthy. The caregivers are in it for the right reasons as well. We loved seeing the care they provided and we were impressed. If we ever had questions or concerns management always were on top of it immediately. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a job or place for a loved one!

This place is a nice place to work, especially if youre a college student. They provide very flexible scheduling and the residents are super cool! There are some very minor things that need to be worked on but with a facility like this, there is always a place for improvement, but at the end of the day the employees take care of the residents like theyre family.

I have been providing harp music for the residents at Our House since 2014. I usually play close to a meal time, so Im always welcomed by the smells of home made meals, and smiling faces. Ernie, the cat is a wonderful resident and is very docile and loving.

The kindness dedication of the staff is apparent every time I visit. I rest assured my loved one is being well taken care of. The variety of activities are truly amazing. Always something to do if it is so desired. I appreciate the patience and care the staff give to the residents. I am not there 24-7 but couldnt be happier knowing my loved one and the other residents are being treated with respect at all times even during those difficult times. After each visit I leave with a smile on my face and a happy heart.

The amount of support that you receive from management is something I am forever grateful for. The flexibility in the scheduling makes it great when your a full time college student.
