My spunky MIL has lived here for here for 9 months and it has been a wonderful experience for both her and our family! There a so many fun activities and delicious homecooked meals everyday. And the staff is genuinely caring toward each person who lives there. Whenever we have a question or concern, we get prompt attention. When we toured Lakewood they said they treat everyone like family and that their facility is the people's home; they weren't just saying that. You feel it everytime you visit. If you have a loved one in the midst of Alzheimer's or dementia, I would highly recommend you visit Lakewood Assisted Living and Memory Care in Brookfield - you won't be disappointed!

Since I have moved my mom here in March, she seems happy. When I go there I know she is well taken care of. This was a difficult process for myself but now can be at peace with my decision. I love that all the staff work hard at planning activities and visitors to keep the residence busy. This is exactly what I was looking for in a place for my mom. It is also very nicely decorated which helps again to make it feel like home. I would highly recommend Lakewood to anyone who is looking for a memory care facility.

Lakewood is an amazing place. It is truly home, not only for my Mom, but me and my family, too. They have the most caring and delightful staff starting from the leadership all the way down. Everyone shows up to work, which is huge in this industry, and they love each and every resident as though they were their own Mother, Father, Grandpa, or Grandma. My Mom has been there about 1.5 years and I wouldn't consider anywhere else. Another amazing thing is they run activities on weekends, which is unusual from my experience with other places. If you're considering memory care for your loved one, look no further!

Recently moved my mom to Lakewood from another memory care facility and they made the transition seamless. The staff have been really caring and helpful, the food looks really good and there are a lot of activities to keep her engaged and active. My mom seems to be doing very well there. The pricing is very competitive compared to other memory care facilities, and the atmosphere is very homelike. Would highly recommend.

It's been 2 years since our mother joined the Lakewood family. We continue to be impressed with the staff and environment at Lakewood. We tried a couple other places before Lakewood and were not happy with them. Lakewood is so much friendlier, livelier, and makes us feel more confident mom is being cared for. I am, admittedly, a tough critic. As a registered nurse of 28+ years, I am well versed in the healthcare system and how easy it is to "fall through the cracks". When looking for a much needed memory care unit for my beloved uncle with dementia, I was skeptical of all of the places my family and I visited while looking for the right place for his care. From the moment we walked into Lakewood Assisted Living and Memory Care, I felt the love. The staff is incredibly engaging and involved with their residents; they know EVERY resident's routine and likes/dislikes. It is hard to distinguish the roles here, as every staff member pitches in regardless of their "role". The place was immaculate and smelled like "home". It is so warm and inviting. The food (prepared in house by a chef) is delicious and fresh. The daily schedule of activities for the residents is fun (and busy!) They have an open door policy, inviting any and all family and friends to visit (and stay for meals if you'd like) at any time of the day or night. I could go on but this review would seem fake. It's not. Lakewood is a true unicorn and my family feels so fortunate to have found it. 11/10 would recommend. Dementia/Alzheimer's disease is a heartbreaker; Lakewood's staff and facility eased the pain.

For five months my husband was a resident in this community. For five months he was cared for by loving and committed personnel no matter their title. Food was excellent and special occasions were held for family to attend with a meal unlike no other. Activities were plentiful and for those a special bus accommodated outings for Shamrock shakes, viewing Christmas lights and much more. Valentine's Day made for a sweet afternoon as a chocolate fountain graced the dining area for all to enjoy. Nurses, caretakers became familiar with my husband and motivated him by using his life experiences on a daily basis. Not only was my husband cared and loved by personnel there, I felt their concern for me and my family whenever we visited. You can be assured that Lakewood will care for your loved one and you with unconditional love.

When we made the very hard decision to place my father in law in memory care we toured quite a few facilities. Each one we toured had one thing or another that we liked, but none seemed to have the entire package, UNTIL WE TOURED LAKEWOOD. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew it was a place we would all feel comfortable with "dad" living in, and we were right! I am a physical therapist that provides therapy services at Lakewood. I spend between 10-20 hours per week on the memory care unit. I have been a clinician for nearly three decades and have never been more impressed with a care facility than I have been with Lakewood. I am constantly amazed at how attentive the staff is towards the residents and their families. Every staff member is a caregiver at heart from administration, nursing and caregivers, to housekeeping and culinary staff. The staff is diligently providing exceptional care and experiences and making changes to ensure each resident's quality of life is at its highest level. If I had a family member that needed the support of a memory care unit, I would recommend Lakewood.

My father is a resident at Lakewood and it has truly been an amazing experience. When we decided to move him to Wisconsin, we researched at least 10 different memory care homes in the Brookfield/Milwaukee area. Choosing Lakewood was the absolute right decision. I am a current employee at Lakewood and I have never worked at a more well rounded place. Laurial, Maria, and Rebecca are all fantastic! I have never seen an administration team so involved with the residents! They care about the staff and the residents equally. The residents are so well taken care of because the staff is always shown appreciation for what we do! We are rarely short staffed, but when we are its okay because the ratios are already so generous and the teamwork between the nurses and caregivers is exceptional! Not to mention the facility is absolutely beautiful and the cleanest I have ever seen in my 8 years of caregiving. This is the first place I have worked that I would personally be okay with moving my own family member in. I have never been more proud to work for a company. Lakewood truly is the best!

I had the great pleasure of visiting my mom at Lakewood daily before COVID, and got to know the place, staff, and residents very well. What a comforting blessing it was to see this close up! Of course, the place is gorgeous- looks great, smells great, beautiful dining room and food, meaningful activities, etc. But the staff... thats Lakewoods secret sauce. They are genuinely caring and loving people, and they understand Alzheimers and know how to work with it. The staff delights in their residents, and they honestly do know each one well- his-her likes, dislikes, history, quirks, and triggers. Lakewood is a joyful, happy place, and the residents are well cared for; definitely nothing icky, sad, or depressing like some other places I visited. I imagine it would be difficult to have a parent move here during COVID bc you wouldnt have the benefit of seeing and feeling the place for yourself; I do hope this testimony gives you peace in your decision if you are considering Lakewood. I am so grateful my mom is here.

We recently moved my mother from a facility where the care was horrendous and moved her to Lakewood. It is absolutely amazing. They care for her like its their own mother. It is clean and smells great and the food is fresh and nutritious. Cant recommend it enough. Thank you Lakewood
