I had to be admitted to this hospital and I'm so glad I did! What a magnificent group of employees. From admissions to cardiology to the finest group of nurses! Bravo to all who made my life better

I cannot speak highly enough for Beloit Memorial Hospital on this visit. I understand hospitals are not a pleasant place to go. Due to we often go there because we’re either ill or a loved one is ill and, the whole experience just plainly sucks. I’ll try to make a long story short; Friday morning I woke up with my knee absolutely killing me. Pain rate probably about eight or nine. I thought it might go away and it didn’t. Felt like someone took a sledgehammer to it. I went to Mercy health in Janesville emergency room and was missed diagnosed and not given any pain medicines to get me through the weekend. I wasn’t looking for morphine or OXY or anything like that. I wanted something. Just at least bring it down to a five. Perhaps Tylenol codeine enough to get me through the weekend until I got to my regular doctor. Margaret Mercy gave me no diagnosis and told me to follow up with my doctor and an orthopedic. Did not give me any name for orthopedic to follow up. Gave me a shot of tramadol that only last approximately 24 hours and that’s it. 30 mg of Toradol that they gave me barely worked Next night, I was in such excruciating pain that I went to Beloit memorial Hospital The place is clean. People are attentive and quicker service. Overall experiences, I was in in an hour and a half approximately with a diagnosis and a plan The doctor had a diagnosis within 40 seconds of me arriving. And within 20 minutes of that I had a 60 mg shot of Toradol for the pain a prescription for Tylenol with codeine and also a prescription for steroids for five days. That diagnosis was pseudo gout in my knee. And she explained everything to me and informed me to follow up with a rheumatologist due to that it will occur again and again due to my age. It has nothing to do with what I eat or I drink just due to the condition and wear tear of my knee I can’t thank Beloit memorial enough. I went last night at 6 PM and it’s 6 PM now the next day and I’m walking on it. It hurts still a little, but it takes a little time for the steroids to take affect, but it is a tremendous progress from where I was. I’ll be transferring all my medical needs to Beloit memorial now I’m thinking give it another day or two and I should be back to normal. Definitely will be following up with the doctor they suggested.

Exemplary. I was on the 3rd floor for 4 days. They made me feel cared for and welcomed. Great hospital.

Wife just had a biopsy done. She was scared because of painful experiences others have had having this done .... AT OTHER PLACES. She was SO surprised when it was PAINLESS. The doc was Dr. Cherian .... his assistants were just as professional.

Upon disclosure of procedures the given consent in which resuscitation is given is provided to the applicable person upon entry and before given procedure ( the patients consent) any other involved parties being asked to stop resuscitation unless given consent is not right. In the medical field we follow through and don’t toss away anyone’s life, this laziness in the medical field is unforeseen. Still married but seperated does not give the seperated spouse the ability to end someone’s life just because they bleed too bad. It is evident all known real family members shall be questioned, presumptions should not be assumed. Anyways, five stars. Because way to go been going here since birth.

Exceptional Care During an Unexpected Situation: We came in for a routine outpatient procedure, but my mom experienced breathing complications due to her heart condition. The doctors and nurses were wonderful”attentive, caring, and professional. They recommended transferring her to the ER as a precaution, where the staff was equally amazing. My mom is home and doing well now. We both left incredibly impressed by the exceptional care we received from everyone. Highly recommend this hospital!

IDK why all the negative reviews of this place... From my experience, this hospital is amazing! I've been here two different times. I'm from Rockford Illinois... And here, We have three hospitals, UW health aka swedish American, OSF St Anthony, and javon Bea. All of the hospitals from Rockford are, mediocre. You could either have a good experience or a horrible one, usually a terrible one, lol. Both times that I went to Beloit for emergency care, the team was kind, receptive to what I had to say, and immediately took care of my child, who was in respiratory distress. We didn't have to sit in the waiting room for hours for care. They got him back right away and got him started on a breathing machine, and then they gave him medicine to go home with. But they took their time with him, listened to what I had to say and took me seriously, And I've never had any issues with them. Shrug. I would recommend this place.

Beloit Hospital took great care of my grandpa when he was still with us, Dr. Cadet helped him many times with his vascular issues. Because of him and his staff I was able to have him at my wedding and I am very thankful for that. My grandpa was a stubborn man but I know he was very thankful too. Even though he passed, I know he got many more years because of the team here. Especially thank you to the 3rd floor heart hospital nurses.

While everything was pretty fast and everyone was pretty nice, they at first told me that I needed my appendix removed (which obviously terrified me). I was then told after me telling my whole family that I was going to surgery that it was just an infection and was sent home with antibiotics. Not only that but when asked for a bathroom sample, I used my private bathroom to figure someone’s else full urine sample in the bathroom in open air! Which I’m sorry but that’s disgusting! Makes me feel like nothing was cleaned from patient before me!

Outstanding cardiovascular department. Completely incompetent billing department.

Update August 2025: still feel the same, have been there since and had a family member at ER! Very efficient compared to others and ones in Illinois. The last review was from 2023, and my first hospital stay was end of 2017, so they must be doing something right! Keep up the good work Beloit Hospital! 2023 review: The place has been great to me for several years now. The staff is actually pretty great. Not perfect but who is? I like the Hospital layout and the ease of getting to each floor and unit. I believe maybe a few bad apples can spoil a bunch, but don't rule out the other great people at Beloit Memorial. I'm very satisfied and I've been admitted to the hospital in recent past and I felt I had really good care.

I was seen in the ER on 11/28/24. The nurses were amazing! That's the only reason I am giving this more than one star. The doctor, on the other hand, was negligent in my care. He asked me multiple times about a medication allergy to which I repeatedly told him I wasn't aware of having one. The nurse later told me he was looking at the wrong patient's chart. I specifically asked him to check the fluid in my bladder as I suspected that was the problem since I recently had surgery and was having difficulty voiding. His response was, "all we could do is ultrasound your bladder and insert a catheter which would make your infection worse". He then discharged me without even checking despite my request and the fact that I was still in excruciating pain. The following day, my surgeon's office drained nearly 1,800 mL from my bladder and catheterized me. They told me my bladder could have burst and suggested I submit a formal complaint to the hospital. I left a voicemail and no one has called me back.

BMH emergency has earned my trust over the years as I have never had a bad experience there and are always prompt but above all they have always been able to get me back to health quickly and correctly with the right meds and services which is more than I can say about GHC and Mercy. I prefer that above anything in Madison and other area's. For the last 20 years this has been my first go-to choice even if it's farther away.
July 2024
Excellent cafeteria! Friendy and Clean.
July 2024
In the normal scheme of things, this is an okay hospital. But for serious long-term multifaceted issues, you might be looking for some place better in Madison. It seems they take a long time with multifaceted issues deciding the best course of action. In the meantime things get way way worse.
April 2024
The treatment received thus far for my wife has been more than exceptional and I would say that it has been better than any other health care system I have been around. Exceptional and professional thus far from testing, diagnosis, surgery, post op care, and current continued treatment.
March 2024
Dr was very good although I woke up with the device down my throat. Seemed to take a long time for nurses to get it out. Dr. wasn't there at that time.
January 2024
Had an appointment here and was conveniently getting into and checking in
December 2023
My mother sat in the hospital over Christmas because doctor did not come to discharge her. We were told the doctor was not coming in on Christmas even tho she was ok to go home. I've never heard of a hospital that did not have a doctor in it.
