After a medical incident, my 90ish Mother-in-Law could not directly return to her home. We toured two assisted living places with openings. Luckily, one of these was Dimensions Living Appleton. Linda took us on a tour and pointed out features important to us. Dimensions is great. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. The residents are outgoing and welcoming. The food is excellent. The apartments are spacious and well maintained. We recommend Dimensions.

I had the pleasure of sharing Thanksgiving dinner with family and residents at DLA this season. The atmosphere was festive and the staff very attentive. I was thoroughly impressed with how organized everything was, as we were a large group. The best surprise however was the quality of the food. Typically, in a setting such as DLA, you expect institutional type food. Amazingly, it tasted fresh and homemade. Portions were more than adequate. It was a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and a selection of pie to choose from. Seconds were available, but the majority of us refused as we were all stuffed, lol.

Overall: This facility is unique in so many wonderful ways, but foremost in its culture- which is warm, welcoming, lively, and supportive. The knowledgeable care provided is courteous, professional, and on par with the needs of each person. First Impression: The first thing I noticed walking up to the entrance was the many residents sitting outside socializing and enjoying the lovely weather. As I walked around the interior there was a strong sense of connection. It was beautiful to see the way people stopped in the halls to greet and visit with each other. The friendliness of staff and residents alike truly reflects a sense that people matter. Carefully observing the interactions of care team members and residents gave me a sense of extended family. Decor and Fun: The decorations are cozy and beautiful, the staff is dedicated, there are always activities that have a solid attendance, and the people living there look content and engaged in life. Overall: There is a true sense of community and kindness permeating this facility and the leadership is very on top of things and running a tight ship in all the right ways. Takeaway: This is a place where people very much can feel alive and wanted- while being well cared for. It feels like a big home and I wish everyone who needed care could find a place like this. Truly a gem.

Our dad moved into Dimensions in August. He always says everyone who works there is so nice and he loves talking to all of his neighbors there. They serve good food. The staff is so good to him. There are many who live there that have been there for years and are still so pleased to be there. We looked at five places in the Valley. This was our first and to be honest it was a very easy decision. I feel like when staff is treated good and there is good management they are so much happier and the residents are treated so kindly. This is the case with Dimensions. I love going to visit dad, but I love seeing the friendly staff, and all of the sweet, beautiful, happy residents also.

Extremely friendly and caring staff. Not a lot of rules and regulations which is excellent. My father is in memory care on the first floor and my mother has an apartment on the second floor. She is free to visit with him in memory care anytime. The reason for four stars and not five is because my mother told me there's always room for improvement. Only perfection comes with God! I cannot say enough about this friendly, family oriented assisted living. My mother's apartment is absolutely beautiful. She was able to decorate it just the way she wanted. Staff were even there to hang her pictures. All assisted livings are ridiculously priced, but when you have one parent who needs constant supervision and one that doesn't without traveling to see each other this is the place to be. Hats off to all staff members at dimensions in Appleton. Of course I wish they could have stayed in their home but now my papa is safe, my mother can see him anytime and there is always someone there to help her. Thank you for making them feel comfortable. I am a retired RN and my husband is still working as a RN which of course is very helpful. Take my advice, this is not a fancy place, but this is the place to be!

Don't hesitate to move your loved one in here. You walk in and the place feels warm and welcoming. Every single staff member is very kind, friendly and welcoming. This place has an amazing vibe to it. Just doing the tour I felt at ease with this place. I toured other places and none of them felt like this place. I feel 200% at ease knowing my dad is here and feel complete trust in the staff that he is being treated well.

This was the best place we could have had our mom in. She started in assisted living part and then went to memory care. The staff were so attentive to our wants for her and she loved the place! I would highly recommend this place.

Moving a loved one out of their home is a time of immense transition for them and their family. For us, we felt immediately at ease at Dimensions Living because of the friendly, caring atmosphere that has supported us every day. This positive environment has continued during our time working with them. We have always felt in the loop about what's going on; staff is quick to respond when we have concerns and are always happy to collaborate with us to make mom's life better. For mom, there are many wonderful activities to help her get out and socialize. The staff adds a lot of personal touch for residents, and we were thankful for the invitations to events so we could be part of mom's activities, too! She feels very comfortable with the people around her, since it feels more like a home than an "institution." We are so grateful to have worked with Dimensions and the care they have provided to mom. They really helped to ease a tough transition in all our lives.

This place is great, I'm so happy with the the care my mother receives there. I am a registered nurse that sees clients in long term care settings in 13 counties. (I have no professional contact with Dimensions Living.) Dimensions is significantly better than any other long term care facility that I visit professionally. The atmosphere there is a lot more like family than facility. My mom really likes living there as well. The care staff, management, maintenance, activities, dietary, housekeeping, and nursing director are outstanding, bringing positive energy with them every day. I find them to be kind, professional, and emotionally invested in providing the highest level of care for the residents.

This place is all about the almighty dollar. They don't have the level of care to be charging what they do per month. Very short staffed. COMMUNICATION AMONG STAFF IS VERY POOR! The few dedicated staff they have are stretched to the limit. Absolutely no organizational skills whatsoever. The entire facility is lacking, but primarily memory care. Staff is not trained PROPERLY. My mother's room is always filthy.

The staff and administration at Brookdale Appleton are super fantastic. It's been really hard not to see our mom since this whole COVID thing started, but I sooooo appreciate the extra care and attention they're trying to provide while still keeping our mom safe and healthy. They've gone above and beyond with virtual visits, safe activities, encouraging special treats for residents, etc...... While many assisted living facilities may have relaxed their restrictions a lot earlier, I know that Brookdale only has their residents' best interests and health in mind by staying the course and being VERY careful about relaxing restrictions. Special Kudo's to Bobbie, Linda, Kim, Tina, Mandy, Leah, Christine just to name a few that have been so fantastic to work with 🙂 <3
