My mother is bedridden, unable to walk. They let her sit for hours at a time without anyone checking on her. She pushes her button and still no one shows,. At times I have seen someone reach in and shut off call lights and leave. This happens quite often. Light buttons are located right inside doors. Rooms are kept unclean. If it wasn’t for hospice coming in nothing would ever get done. She recently slept in a recliner all night because no one came in to move her to her bed. Totally uncalled for. They need a reliable supervisor on all shifts that really cares.

This place has really gone down hill with their care. Workers are supposed to check on people every hour. You’re lucky they show their face in 8 hours. Rooms are not cleaned on daily basis. Some floors are filthy. They call it assisted living but it is by no means that. Workers expect residents to take care of themselves whether they can walk or not. It is not unusual for us to see people in their beds all day so workers don’t have to help them in anyway. Place has gone totally down hill since it has been sold. So sad.

I needed to tell you about an outstanding employee you have. His name is kahleel. He works in building 2. He is the most sincere person I have ever seen. My mom has been there since day one (bootie meyers). He is wonderful at his job and he really cares about people. I hope you appreciate him like we do. You are lucky to have such a devoted employee. Treat him well he is a great person

My grandfather is currently staying there, and was recently pout on Hospice. While his heath is declining, the staff are so helpful and accommodating to him. They ensure they have his consent for everything, and are extremely kind and gentle with him. The girls that helped him last night Erin, Marley, and Katelyn were wonderful, and were incredibly kind and patient with him on July 29th when I was visiting. Please send our families thanks to these 3, and all the other staff that go out of their way to care for our loves ones. The community is beautiful and clean, with great views from the windows, and the staff are amazing. I highly recommend.

( This review is based on experience, I was my Uncles POA who had to place him at one facility and over saw his care till he passed, I assisted my Mom in placing and care of my Father with Alzheimers till he passed ) When we had to find a place for our Mom, Century Oaks appears lovely. Its physical environment and decor are lovely. My Mom had a lovely room to herself, her own bathroom, walk in closet with laundry. Chief Tony makes great meals and I loved being able to come have a meal with Mom in the lovely dinning room. It offered activities and socialization she was in need of. We often requested better activities since all they did was movies, bingo and offered trips to stores. At times we had to request they clean her room feeling it was not being done. Mom has short term memory issues but is able to physically care for herself. She was happy, then Covid pandemic hit. Between my sister who is RN and myself, watched as the Facility we kept paying failed to work within the pandemic requirements and keep the residents active, stimulated and socialized. We understood first month but by second adjustments had not been made. Mom was confined to her room, eating meals alone, staring at Tv, could not leave her room. Other facilities thought outside box offered, welcomed window visits, offered weekly communications to family via calls, FaceTime with loved ones, emails. We got nothing!!! Twice we got a form letter in the mail. Second informing us of increase 50$ a month. We called repeatedly and if anyone would answer no Admin was available to talk, or we be told they pass message on. My sister was yelled at when she try window visit, one being on Easter. Seriously these kind souls need family and they were not allowed any outside visits. Our messages to nurse or admin went unanswered. We became worried and concerned over proper care, toe nails trims, begging for activities, asking for when they reopen? Our favorite was them posting on Facebook when they do some activity once in several weeks acting like its all roses going on. I had communication with several residents, they were experiencing same failure of care for as Mom was. They all express frustration with Adm and ate depressed. Again we have understanding of regulations rules of Covid but THEY FAILED and continue to do so. I want to express that at about day 60 lock down we started to have more connection with hands on staff, kind and compassionate doing as good as they can under procedures and lack of direction from ADMIN. We could only see her short stolen window visits and near end( even immediate staff ignored us) as we visit distancing outside with mask. They too were tired and worried about their people they cared for. We watched our Mom who was doing well deteriorate, mentally depressed calling her daily on landline hearing her sad voice commenting daily living in gray walled prison and lack physical ability to move her walking ability declined. Week 15 of lock down End of June, we pulled Mom out. This same week into the Covid lockdown other residents had started to revolt and ignore staff so the could socialize and have activities. NO ACTIVITY DIRECTOR HAVE BEEN ALLOWED BACK AS OF THIS WRITING. Shame shame on horrible Admi! My favorite call wanting requesting to talk to Adm, 2 weeks prior to her move out, I get told they all on vacation! I hope they sell the place soon and The new owners come in that have true compassion and knowledge of how to care for our most vulnerable. My heart is appreciative all those who work in the halls directly with residence. God bless you. Families beware of our experience. My Mom called it her gray prison. Days later she says she hasnt given that place a second thought. She is now with me, thank God I can make it work. My Lord watch over all our Seniors and those in assisted living.

I would like to take a few moments to say THANK YOU Grace! Mom turned 95 a few days ago and we GREATLY appreciated the opportunity to visit her outside, socially distancing with masks and gloves on. We respect the parameters that are in place during this time. Grace was so very helpful in accommodating various requests. It was an extremely hot day and the large pitcher of ice water was a life saver! Grace made several trips in and out that day and I seriously cannot thank you enough.COVID has be so hard for Mom as she is such a social person. Family is everything for her and having limited ability to visit has been extremely frustrating. Since my sister and I live 2 hours from Mom, having extra time on her birthday was very, very much appreciated. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Grace!! Grace and so many of the staff get 5 STARS!!!!!To Century Oaks, your overall rating is my mind has gone to a 2-3. COVID has been incredibly difficult for Mom. Please, take care of your staff and they will in turn take care of our loved ones. I am not sure why it has been so difficult to figure out the food situation but it seems to have gone from very good to not so very good and to down right bad. Not every meal, but it seems to be the majority of meals. For the owner, PLEASE visit your business. I think an absentee owner is not a good thing. My main purpose of writing to to thank Grace. But I also wanted to share some frustrations. I know it is difficult to find good help. But when you treat your employees with respect, they will in turn treat you with respect.Blessings to all we we continue to battle this difficult time we are in.Richelle Cuomo

Best company Ive ever worked for! Management does everything in their power to keep the residents here happy and comfortable. Working here has been a wonderful learning experience and the building is beautiful. Every time Ive run into a stressful situation, everyone is willing to help out.I started out here as a housekeeper, and soon got a position as a caregiver. Then I was promoted to Activities Director, and Im very happy with the opportunities that the management here has given me. Such a wonderful place to work!

My mother-in-law moved into Century Oaks several months ago after living with us for several months. The owners and staff were exceptional. Last week, I had the chance to visit my great-aunt at her new home, Century Oaks Assisted Living. Before the visit I was worried that she would not like it there, but now I know she will be very active and happy. The facility is amazing and the staff were patient and kind. I must admit I am a little jealous of all the activities she has available on a daily basis.

If youre looking for a good place for your loved one...Im sure youll do your research and find Century Oaks to be exemplary.Their facilities are well run, they go above and beyond in caring for their residents. And they have high standards for their employees; they dont hesitate to dismiss abusive or neglectful staff. Not too many assisted living places will use organic foods, have 600 plus square feet of beautiful living space, private baths, barrier free private showers and a personal washer and dryer.ve toured or visited residents in facilities with substandard building materials, low rent food, and low paid staff that are lazy and more concerned about huddling somewhere to smoke......very low budget to eke out the highest profit. Leaving residents to sufferCentury Oaks always has been a huge cut above. They pay more, they expect more, to do more.....for their residents and their staffYou dont see resident turnover there....most have come from less than optimal situations to a safe, beautiful, compassionate and caring home to live their final years. There is a reason why they have a wait list have worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years; seen the good, bad and ugly of patient and resident care....Century Oaks is a breath of fresh air....a place I wouldnt hesitate to have my loved ones live....I pray there is somewhere like this for me when I need it.
