Reviews Vermont Veterans Home

Excellent facility. The management and staff are awesome. I worked there as a nurse in the past and it was a great experience. Everyone is nice and helpful. They do not discriminate among employees but they do have a high standard of care. If anyone is disciplined it's nothing personal, they just have have an intolerance for incompetent staff and want the best for the residents.

I came to the Vermont Veterans' Home from the Home Hospice Program. I was removed from the hospice list about a year ago because my health had improved greatly. I have to say that our doctors, nurses and nurse assistants are all highly qualified ready to help at any time. This is, indeed, a wonderful facility.

The Vermont Veterans' Home provided exceptional care to both of my parents during their stays. My mom resided at the VVH for about a year and a half as her health declined. She was well fed and well taken care of. My father visited every single day of her stay and he was always treated like family by the staff. They spoiled him rotten! My father entered the VVH 8 days before his death, which coincided with the passing of my mom, which occurred 2 days later. We were shown so much compassion during this difficult time. The staff went out of their way to make sure my parents were able to be together during their final days. I highly recommend the Vermont Veterans' Home.

Great Nursing facility. The Nursing staff are top notch, from the LNA's to the Nursing Supervisors. The activities staff is the best around. There is always something going on for the Veterans. There is some room for improvements with the building maintenance. Work orders take along time to be processed. All in all I would highly recommend the Vermont Veterans' Home for anyone. One day I'll probably be here.
