Acclaim at Belmont Bay is an excellent resident for active seniors who enjoy meeting new friends and having fun with all the activities they offer. My mom loves it. She can stay in her apartment if she likes or go mindle with her fellow residence. There's a party on Friday, trips and shuttle bus that takes you shopping and so much more. My family members and myself are so happy to have my mom there, blossoming and enjoy her life.

Wow it's been a year, I’m reminded by Acclaim this week that I landed here in my lovely new apartment home. Long story kinda short (but not really), I had no plans to move from my home of 30 years, but had lost my loved ones and my two doggies and now lived alone. My son posed the question, how would you feel about moving? And I quickly responded with, I wouldn’t be opposed to it. Within a week my son had five prospects for us to visit. Acclaim was our first stop. Upon walking through the door we were welcomed by a lit marquee reading Welcome to (our names) me and my son. Talk about first impressions!! We entered the meeting room area and two staff met with us, and began to tell us about Acclaim. Next was the tour of a few apartments to choose from and then of the activity rooms on each end of the bldg on each floor. Just to note a few” were rooms for puzzles, painting, chess, table game room with pool table, library, Chapel and more, and on the first floor is the salt pool, gym, theatre and more!! The staff also take us on different outings, shows, shopping and even to Dr. appts in the nearby vicinity. Continental breakfast is served daily as well as dinner in the restaurant, and if you’re hungry during the middle of the night there are even sandwiches and drinks available at the tavern with the assistance of the 24 hr concierge. So if I wanted to be busy seven days a week here, I could easily! There’s always something interesting and fulfilling to join in on. The staff, are awesome, kind and respectful no matter what the role they are in. just the other day the female chef was standing nearby as I was picking up a package and offered to give me a hand. And it seems that they’ve attracted the same type of residents!! We all speak to each other in the hallways and sometimes we can simply say hello and a half hour later still be holding a conversation with that same person. There also are just so many other unique activities at Acclaim. I just graduated last week from the month long course called the Brain Health University that was both a learning and experiencing course very unique that kept you engaged while learning. So there’s literally something for everyone here to do no matter what you like to do!! I’m truly blown away in my very short time and haven’t even been that involved as much as I’d like to be yet! Because if you recall at my beginning, I hadn’t planned on moving, so I’m still in the unpacking and sorting through mode with one more room to go!! But just watch out for me next year Acclaim!!

This facility is OUTSTANDING! Executive Director Trish Harman and her entire staff make every effort to make everyone comfortable! The Acclaim fully supports their value to include their mission. The facility is very safe and clean as well! I have friends living at the Acclaim and they really like it there! The Acclaim is also a fun place with positive energy all around! Please go visit!

I didn't even know a place like this existed. This is independent luxury resort style apartment living for Seniors 62+. It feels like a cruise ship and costs less than you would think. Month to month leases along with a pool, theater, art studio, library, puzzle room, transportation, game room and restaurant. All in beautiful Belmont Bay. This place is amazing.

What a beautiful venue and when I say venue that’s what I mean. From the beautiful restaurant to the lounge areas where different themed events take place for the residents. And there is a bus that takes the residents shopping and to shows! Seems like a wonderful place to live for the older community. Emphasis on community.

I took a tour of Acclaim at Belmont Bay recently for my parents, and I have to say”I came away really impressed. My parents and I have been curious about independent living communities and what that lifestyle might look like, and this place made it easy to picture. The location is beautiful, tucked right by the water in Woodbridge, and the building itself feels more like a boutique hotel than a retirement community. Everything was clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed. The apartments had full kitchens, lots of natural light, and some even had balconies with lovely views. What stood out the most to us was the atmosphere. It didn’t feel clinical or senior”it felt vibrant. There was a buzz of activity, but also plenty of quiet nooks and cozy spots to relax. The staff was welcoming and seemed to genuinely care, and the residents we bumped into were friendly and upbeat. One even stopped to tell us how much they love living there, which I didn’t expect! The amenities were no joke”indoor pool, fitness center, a little theater, even an art studio. It just felt like a place where you could stay engaged and connected, without giving up comfort or independence. Acclaim definitely left a positive impression. It’s the kind of place that left my parents thinking, Yeah we could definitely see ourselves here!

I have lived at Acclaim at Belmont Bay for 4 years. My husband and I were the first residents here. We have enjoyed the people we have met and what we have learned from them. We have so many activities to choose from -- bingo, chess, card games, exercise classes, scrabble, jigsaw puzzles, holiday celebrations, weekly Friday happy hour with live entertainment and so much more. We have a wonderful, caring staff of people, headed by our amazing, supportive, fun-loving, caring Executive Director, Trish Harman. There is no other place that we would want to live. We hope to spend the rest of our lives living well and enjoying life here at Acclaim at Belmont Bay.

This Rating is for Chef, Robert Osborne. My husband and I have been residents of Acclaim going on three+ months. One of the outstanding staff members at Acclaim is the Dining Room Chef, Robert Osborne. Although we did not purchase the Food Plan, we have dined frequently in the well-appointed Dining Room. Our first experience was amazing - a Reuben Sandwich and Fries that was just an unexpected delight for we Reuben and Fries lovers! The sandwich had just the right flavor, ingredients and temperature. We were so happy with this first order that we have since sampled several different choices from the menu without a single a disappointment. Chef Osborne's Saturday Night Specials, Filets or Steaks, rival the Prime Rib here in Washington, DC - always tender and perfectly served to doneness. The soups he offers, especially the 'unheard of' Squash Soup, was another unexpected, lovely surprise. All of his soups are just scrumptious! Cannot leave off his Brunch Menu - as a first-timer, we tried his Brunch selection of Omelet with Toast and Fruit - this brought more smiles to our faces and sure beats going out to a commercial restaurant. The Denver Omelet was cooked to perfection with all fresh ingredients - very hot and flavorful. John and I still cannot believe we actually live here and can enjoy the Dining Room Menu whenever we need a treat! Please feel free to contact us for this Review's verification. We have confidently chosen Acclaim at Belmont Bay for our parents next adventure, and the choice was easy! From the moment we walked in the door for our first tour through the first trial stay, the experience has been pure joy. Friendliness is in the air and the water in this community. Every single person we met (staff and residents alike) went above and beyond. Open, available, engaging, and energetic, yet also calm and peaceful. Our parents thoroughly enjoyed the chance to spend a few days in the guest suite to really check things out, and they are thrilled to be moving in next month. What a blessing!

My sister and husband were living there for about 9 months and made a good adjustment. The staff were wonderful, the residents friendly and active, and the meals very good. There were many activities that she enjoyed. We moved them out because her husband needed assisted living. One of the best features were guest apts for visiting relatives. Since I lived in Chicago, I visited often and spent a week, eating with them and participating in activities. What a godsend! I highly recommend Acclaim.

I have already completed the survey but I have one more thing to add. One of the key elements that led to our choosing Acclaim was that the facility did not zero its focus on Assisted or Nursing Home living. Whether you realize it or not, you will pay a premium for Independent Living, and generally have a buy in cost upwards of $300K. If you are in reasonably decent health, you owe it to yourself to look at Acclaim. If you do require assistance down the line, Acclaim has provisions for that, and the residents here are very happy and friendly. As my daughter would say- Life is Good with Mom and Dad here.

Maria did a fantastic job of sharing information with my family and I on the property. Her friendly demeanor and great videos made the virtual walk through seem real and very attractive! We felt like we had been at the place before when we finally were able to do a physical walk through of the property and available apartment. The best was seeing a familiar face of a resident that we know in the video of one of the many social activities. That helped to seal the deal! Thanks Maria!

I heard about Acclaim At Belmont Bay through A Place For Mom. We scheduled a tour of the property and found the overall environment very friendly and inviting. Maria, the sales associate who gave us a tour of the apartments and all the amenities, did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable about the important decision we were making. We are excited about moving in and would recommend a visit to Acclaim if you’re considering a senior lifestyle community.

Just got back from having a fabulous time at the Acclaim Friday Night Happy Hour, which features the Chef's special half-price appetizer selection. You can also choose from the main menu at our Restaurant. We are always excited because during Happy Hour we have live entertainment!!! And many of us are up and dancing to all types of music!! I hope you will stop by and Join us for this time of food, dancing or just sitting and enjoying the entertainment. It starts at at 4 o’clock. You will be surprised to see how much fun you could have! I’m 75 years old and I was up dancing using my walker as my partner! It was fantastic fun!!! We are young at heart here at Acclaim!!!

The Acclaim at Belmont Bay is a WONDERFUL community with incredibly professional (and caring, communicative) staff. Beautiful building with activities that a cruise ship would envy!! I have not been here a week, but because of the extreme friendliness and competence of the staff, I feel very much at home. I have found the residents emulating the staff in terms of being helpful and inviting. There are no strangers here. We are family!

The restaurant is quite attractive and very well appointed with a cozy ambience in the cafe & dining room with outdoor dining soon to be offered on the back patio. The menu will please everyone with an excellent variety of appetizers and entrees with vegetarian meals always offered. Note that their liquor license is awaited.

My father moved into Acclaim at Belmont Bay in Woodbridge, Virginia this fall. He is physically and mentally capable of living on his own. As a senior socialization is critical and this facility provides opportunity on a regular basis. There is a pool, workout equipment, game room, computer room, and several other areas inside and outside that keeps the residents busy with a variety of options. Imagine sitting outside by the firepit with your friends and family. We have been thoroughly impressed with the facility and the activities director does a fantastic job. The executive director truly cares about all her residents. I highly recommend considering this facility right near Occoquan, Virginia.

Incredible doesn't even begin to describe this place. This is only for 62+ and I thought it was for 55+ however I will for sure be calling them when I am 62. I went for a tour and lunch and the apartments are spacious and they thought of everything with their amenities. The lunch is some of the best food I've had and is open to the public. If you are in the market for a new place be sure to check it out.

We really enjoyed the Easter Sunday brunch. The entrees and side dishes were excellent and there was a variety of foods to choose from. The carrot soup was wonderful!! i think Acclaim should have a Mother's Day brunch.
