We recently placed my Brother in the Memory Center at KGH. We were unable to handle the stage of dementia he had entered. I did not expect what we encountered. The staff could not be more caring and professional. I know first hand what they experience on a daily basis as we went thru it. In my eyes they are destined for sainthood! Thanks to all for taking such good care of him--I know it is not easy. We hope this, in a small way, lets all of you know how appreciated you are. BP

I am very unimpressed of what I have experienced at Kings Grant House thus far. The staff are loud and disrespectful to the resident and talk down to them. They clearly have not had any trainings on dementia and how to interact with them. What to say, not say. I overheard a staff member shout to residents, "Stop that, be quiet, don't do that." The facility is always short staff and you have to wait for a least 20 minutes before someone replied for a call bell being pulled.

When I first visited King's Grant I felt the feeling of caring as soon as I walked in and was greeted. The staff was upbeat and greeted me like a old friend. The first few days were just getting use to everything and everyone. They treat her with respect and also her family. She is adjusting to being there after living alone for so long. But losing her sight has alot to do with accepting things, but she is getting better at that. But over all it's a great place for her. I know she is taken care of and don't have to worry about her as much. She is my mom and I love her!

Everything is working out well for my parents with their move to this community. They are safe, and in good hands overall. I'am pleased with all they have done for us. A place for mom was helpful with referring this community to us. All is well for my parents here in this facility.

I like this place. It is clean, the staff are wonderful, BUT, it's very difficult to get feedback from the higher ups, especially the resident care director. Very frustrating. To pay this much money and not have better communication is inexcusable. Also, I feel the residents in Assisted Living get more attention than those in Memory Care, especially on the weekends. Overall, my parents seem to be happy. This appears to be the same at other centers, too. 🙁
