I can’t say enough good things about my experience at The Park Oak Grove. It is such a warm and inviting place. I never expected my mother to settle in quite so quickly. Thanks to all the staff for taking such good care of my mom and especially to Anna and Carolyn for making this such an easy decision.

I can't say enough about Park Oak Grove, particularly Carolyn. If you don't have a Carolyn in your life, I 10/10 recommend you get one. I called on a Sunday ... a SUNDAY about availability, Carolyn not only answered the phone, but met me and my mom within a couple of hours. The next day I was moving her in. When I was sitting in the floor putting a bed frame together, Carolyn not only took the time to get to know my mom, but she was there when all the overwhelming feelings came for me. I had no idea what I was doing, and you don't until you find yourself in this situation. I was fortunate enough to have a Carolyn, who looked me in my tear filled eyes and told me it would all be ok. Five stars doesn't feel like enough, but I hope this review helps someone navigate a difficult situation, made bearable by a single individual and Park Oak Grove.

We chose Park Oak Grove (for my mother) for their spacious accommodations and warm atmosphere. The staff has been very responsive to concerns and works hard to make sure mom is taken care of. Paige and Carolyn have been a pleasure to work with on the admin side. The CNAs have been just as responsive. PT/OT are also onsite to problem solve ways to best care for mom and their presence is a huge plus to this facility. We are happy we made the move to bring mom to Roanoke.

When I visit Park Oak Grove the staff is welcoming and friendly. The residents seem happy and their activities calendar provides something for everyone! Carolyn has a huge heart for everyone who walks through the door & is able to guide potential residents in the right direction best suited for their needs. A high level of care is offered. I have a friend whose 97 year old dad is a resident and she says they couldn't be happier that they selected Park Oak Grove!

I would highly recommend The Park Oak Grove. When my mother had a fall in August 25, we didn’t have a lot of time to research facilities in the Roanoke valley, however, after reviewing 3 locations, we settled on The Park Oak Grove. The staff, especially Carolyn, have bent over backwards to accommodate my mom. What started as brief respite’ care is now turning into a longer term assisted living arrangement. I am pleased that the team has addressed my initial concerns and has been responsive to mom’s needs. I will say this transition has been a learning curve for my mom and myself; as a result, I would recommend that families fully engage in the transition process to ensure your loved one is making the transition from independent living to assisted living. The staff has been helpful to me as we learn to navigate this life change. Lastly, I have been pleased to see how mom has taken to the new living arrangement. She has told me several times that she is glad she has made the move. We look forward to many years to come in her new home.

The Park Oak Grove has been a wonderful place for my mom to live. She broke her hip in December 2024 and was not able to live on her own anymore. Carolyn was my first contact at POG and she made the move so easy for my mother. She was very patient with us and all of our crazy questions. The apartment we really wanted was the model and Carolyn made it happen for us. She had the furniture moved out, had the apartment freshly painted and ready for us in less than a week. This is also a tribute to the maintenance department who makes things happen quickly. The nursing staff welcomed my mom with open arms and made sure she adjusted well. She required a lot of care while she settled in and Missy and her staff were always available and willing to do whatever was needed to make sure her needs were being met. I also reached out to them almost daily the first couple weeks and they were always willing to stop what they were doing to answer my questions. Mason, the administrator was always available if I had any questions or concerns. The PT, OT, and Speech therapists at POG worked with my mother daily to literally "get her back on her feet." They also stayed in touch with me regularly to inform me of her progress. There are also multiple daily activities available for socialization. The front desk people are also extremely friendly and always chat with me when I come to visit. My mom also claims that the food is excellent! Thanks everyone for taking good care of my mom. It means the world to my brothers and I to know she is in a safe place where everyone cares about her.

The Park Oak Grove really stands out from other assisted living communities. The apartments are bright, spacious, and feel more like a real home than a typical facility. Even the studios are roomy and well designed, which makes a big difference. It's clear that a lot of care went into creating a comfortable, independent lifestyle here. The entire community has a peaceful, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend checking it out.

This assisted living is located in southwest Roanoke County in the quiet neighborhood of Oak Grove. Lovely 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with even the studio feeling spacious. Very nice common areas and has outdoor common area. I was very impressed with the facility and the tour was great.

Not your typical "assisted living," with spacious apartments set up independent living style. A studio is more like a one bedroom, which is a refreshing change in layout and affordability. Everything about this community is simply lovely!

This hands down is one of my favorite facilities to minister. The staff is always helpful and courteous. But, what I think makes this place so special is it's people. The residents here are full of Love and always make you feel like part of the family. I love this place and I am the one who receives the blessing by getting to go here to visit. Great place, highly recommended.
