WOW!!!!! Where do i start? What an outstanding company Brightstar care of Richmond is. Amy and her office staff have been a pleasure to work with to get my mother set up with care, and the flexibility has been extremely helpful. Their professionalism and communication is above the rest. The nurses that have been to see my mother have also knocked it out of the park.

This company is WONDERFUL! Last year I began needing help for my mother and Brightstar Care Richmond came highly recommended. The owner, Amy Grasser was so helpful and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The caregivers are professional, compassionate and take such great care of my mom. This entire experience has exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend Brightstar to anyone in need of their services.

Overall the staffing was good. We had an exceptional experience with a few workers. Desiree Adkins (cna) was one of them. Unfortunately she changed jobs after working with my wife for various weeks. But glad for her and wish her well in her new job. The other exceptional worker was Susan Nuckols (LPN). She was very reliable (the most consistent one we had) always early, very professional, and yet very caring towards my severely disabled wife who was on hospice. A final heart felt thank you to Madison Crow (LPN) who was there when my wife passed and handled it well and with great tact and respect.The only concerns I had with my wifes care by BrightStar care were that she had far too many workers involved in her care (again many of them very good), but in future it would be nice to limit the workers to no more than 4 or 6 so we could get to know them better. Also I would like to have weekly schedules sent ahead, which I didnt always get. Other than that the scheduler did a good job.

I interviewed several Richmond based agencies to help with the care of a family member who was in Hospice and lived along. I chose BrightStar because they offered more flexibility in a personalized and ever changing care plan, suggestions on the needs of their patient to make him more comfortable and they provided peace of mind while trying to navigate new territory for the family. Their well-trained CNAs were all kind, knowledgeable and dedicated to quality home care. Amy and Jennifer were available 24-7 to help resolve any issues. I am glad I chose BrightStar.

Where do I begin? BrightStar is an absolutely amazing company to work for and watch these families grow from support from individuals such as myself. I remember coming to work for this company like it was yesterday, made a phone call to the office and spoke with the wonderful branch manager, who then scheduled an interview the next day. They strive to hire caregivers and home health workers who are diligent in all they do. Jennifer and Amy have been bright shining stars throughout my career here with BrightStar and to see how they take care of these families is beyond impeccable to me. I cant forget to mention Kim. who has bent over backward for these clients as well. All of us here put in the work that is required and we make such a difference in these clients lives. I have from many clients heard how great BrightStar and the caregivers who come to their homes have been respectful, helpful, and caring beyond the shadow of a doubt. I have personally met some wonderful families, and I will dedicate my future to working for this amazing company to keep providing support to all of these wonderful individuals, office staff, clients, every step of the way. BrightStar is providing health care services to my elderly parents. They provide caring and professional CNAs. They will do whatever is necessary to keep your family members residing comfortably at their home. I highly recommend this professionally run company. They staff good people.They will fix meals, do light house cleaning, even pick up medicines for home bound family members. Its given me tons of comfort to know my parents are in good hands with BrightStar.

Bright Star Care givers allow Pops to stay in familiar surroundings while he does his job of ageing. BSC givers take care of morning and evening meds, breakfast, lunch and dinner, toileting, showering, laundry, light housekeeping, short walks and companionship with minimal supervision seven days per week. The services they provide allow his children to continue with their careers and to focus on making certain he has all the necessary things needed at this stage of his life....fresh food, meds, personal hygiene products and paying his bills. Management is open and responsive to concerns and keep us informed of any last minute changes. Stuff happens, but they do their best to make things right. Special thanks are extended to Gayle, Caprice, India, Britney and all others helping Pops to age in place.

Top notch customer service! We called at 4pm on Friday afternoon when we learned that mom couldnt leave the hospital to return to her independent living apartment without additional help. We didnt know what questions to ask or who to call. Brightstar was one of the names that the hospital gave us. Amy answered the phone and was very friendly and gave me the confidence that they could help and she understood what we were going through. They started care the same day and have been wonderful ever since. Nobody is perfect but any issues we have had, Amy has taken care of immediately with a smile.I highly recommend this company.

We recently contracted with BrightStar Care to provide in-home care for my Dad. They were very accommodating and worked with us as schedules changed, both theirs and ours. I used the Bright Star unit in the Richmond Area and I couldnt have been more pleased about it from beginning to end.I just want to say how impressed I was with my caregiver Patina Harris.!!! I couldnt have asked for a more skilled, more caring and knowledgeable young lady.She is a gem and an asset to your organization....Please convey to her how much I valued her service to me. She was punctual, kind (not only to me but the staff at the St Marys Ambulatory Unit where she had to come to pick me up) and was thorough in following any instructions provided for my benefit from the hospital upon my release. If I could have afforded it I would have hired her for the entire week!!! I am so pleased to learn there is an organization that provides this kind of temporary care when that may be all that is needed sometimes.BrightStar is a Godsend when temporary care is needed.

My husband and I recently evacuated Nags Head, NC just before hurricane Florence with a hospice patient (his mother). Upon arriving in Richmond, VA, we called BrightStar and the nurse visited the day we called.She recognized that we were stressed and arranged for overnight care within a day. The night aide who arrived was calm, helpful, and gave us an opportunity to catch up on sleep. We will always be grateful to BrightStar Care and highly recommend this home health agency!

Brightstar has been a tremendous help to our family. We didnt know what questions to ask as we were new to this process but Mom needed more help than we could provide. The Hospital rep. recommended a few agencies. I called 3 and BrightStar was the most responsive, professional and Friendly. They are not the least expensive but they are worth it! Mom is at home and happy! It took almost 2 weeks to get a consistent team together and when we didnt like someone, we just called and told them and they took care of it. They go grocery shopping, plan and prepare meals, clean the house, provide assistance and companionship to Mom which eases my mind knowing that she is cared for and not alone. They answer the phone or text messages on evenings and weekends which has been helpful since I work full time and am not available during business hours. the experience has been great! I highly recommend BrightStar Care of Richmond. They took the time to get to know our family and match the caregivers to my loved ones personality. All caregivers were professional and actually wanted to be there. We had many questions as this was our first experience with homecare.
