Beautiful, well kept community with a stunning water view and AMAZING meals!
November 2023
Auburn Hills had been my parents home for just under the past two years. The entire staff is friendly, hardworking and all around wonderful! The building is beautiful and well maintained. There are always lots of activities, fun performers and scheduled events planned for everyone to participate! Although my father is currently independent and doesn't require AL, everyone in various positions has gone above and beyond to help him out on occasions. Whether it's been checking in on him after a medical issues or if he didn't go to the dinning room for a meal; in which case they'll take it up to his room. Often the front desk (or staff heading up to his floor) will take up his packages and mail (he loves Amazon!) The Auburn Hills family has always checked in on him and will jump right in if he needs any. When I come to see my Dad they know his whereabouts in the building so I'll know where to find him if he's not in his studio or on the forth (4th) floor visiting my Mother. My Mom is well taken care of in Memory Care. Along with helping my mom with basic needs, the staff is kind, friendly and patient while interacting with her. They know how to make her smile and treat her with dignity. My parents, myself and family would highly recommend life at Auburn Hills, Harbour Point! Val

Auburn Hill is a beautiful place and well staffed. My father spent the last days of his life there and was very well taken care of and loved.
September 2023
My parents moved into a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment looking out over Swift Creek Reservoir in January 2021. Even though Covid restrictions were at their height, the staff, dining and nursing team (many still there) were incredibly accommodating and loving! To this day, I am very appreciative for the care my parents and now just my 91 year old Mother receive.
August 2023
Staff is wonderful and very attentive to residents needs. Lucky that my family member is in such a great place!!
August 2023
Since the arrival of the new Executive Director and additional new staff, Auburn Hill seems to have refocused itself in a positive direction. Our relative has noticed more positive interactions with the staff. We appreciate the communication, follow through, and willingness to do whatever it takes for the wellbeing of the residents.

Clean, professional delicious meals and the best place for my 93 year old mother!!!
July 2023
Very friendly and helpful staff, with a beautiful property and amenities. They go above and beyond in caring for the residents, and are very open to communications with the families!

My mother in law has lived in this beautiful assisted living space for over 3 years now. We are incredibly pleased with her care, the staff, the meals and the residents care. We are beyond blessed to have moved her into such an amazing, loving care facility. Thank you Auburn Hill!!!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Auburn Hill treated my Aunt during her stay there. The entire staff was attentive, helpful and most of all kind. I was always informed if there were any issues or concerns promptly by staff. The activity personnel always made an effort to make sure our Aunt was included. We have all now moved to Texas and our into another assisted living facility. By comparison you have a winner in Auburn Hill. We miss you all!!!
March 2023
In the fall of 2019, when my brother and sister and I realized Mom was no longer able to live on her own, we started looking for an assisted living facility. Mom was living in North Carolina and we were all in Virginia, so we needed to find a place closer to us. We settled on the Richmond Virginia area and began our search. After visiting a few places, we stumbled upon Auburn Hill and never looked anywhere else. Although AH was still under construction we knew it would be worth the wait and weren't disappointed. When Auburn Hill opened in January 2020, we moved Mom in joining 8 other residents in their new homes. And more kept coming. It was perfect! The feel of home, the restful view of the boat dock and lake, the great food, the loving care of ALL the staff...and she was SAFE. March 2020 found us at the beginning of Covid, and it threw all of us a giant curveball. No one knew quite what to do, but the AH staff did. They scrambled to do everything necessary to make sure that my mom, and all the other moms & dads were SAFE. And they did an amazing job. So for the next 3 years the staff at Auburn Hill took care of my mom. I mean ALL the staff! Even the woman at the front desk helped to make sure she was cared for in every sense of the word - Mom felt loved, nurtured, protected, and SAFE. And they way they've treated us? Well let's just say they became family and I love them dearly.

My mother has been living at Auburn hill for the past three years she could not be happier. The staff is exceptional and extremely caring. I couldn't be happier that we chose Auburn hill for our mom . BTW. Now when I see my mom, she has a real spring in her step lots of energy and having fun with all of the activities.

This the worst place I have experienced in my life. If your love one has severe dementia, please don't send them here. If they cannot feed themselves they will almost starve. Please demand they are given a soft diet if not able to wear dentures. My love one was given a regular diet which was very hard to chew without teeth. We found her crawling around on the floor many times with no monitoring. I'm going to stop here and pray for others there. God bless the residents, staff and visitors. My love one is now resting in the arms of our Almighty.. To God be the glory!!!

My mother was at another assisted living and it wasn't a good choice for her. Auburn Hills was an answer to prayer. The facility is stunning on the Swift Creek Reservoir, but it is much more than a pretty decor or view. The staff genuinely cares about my mom. The receptionist is always very helpful and the day and nighttime nurses go out of their way to care for my mom's needs. The Director of Nursing has made decisions for her care in her best interest. Fox Rehab has helped with her mobility issues as well. My mother is not always easy to work with and has mental and physical challenges. I am thankful they are willing to work with her. Overall, I am pleased with my mother's care at Auburn Hills.
December 2022
Our entire family is grateful for the relaxing, worry-free, happy life Mom is enjoying here... at 93! Thanks to the loving, competent staff who have become family to us all
November 2022
Auburn Hill is wonderful! My grandmother has lived there for the past 3 years and is so happy and well cared for. The space is beautiful and the staff is exceptional.
August 2022
My grandpa recently passed away after staying at Auburn Hill for a few months. The staff there took great care of my grandpa throughout the time he was there, even up to his passing. They were incredibly accommodating and I know he appreciated everyone on the staff that took care of him. Thank you to everyone for making his final moments so much easier than it could have been.
December 2021
I would definitely not recommend this Senior Living to anyone. My review is based on pre covid. The executive director, business director and health director are poor communicators and have uncaring demeanors. They make promises and present themselves as caring individuals, yet emails, calls, doctor's letters and text messages go unanswered or ignored. There should be effective communication between your loved ones, Auburn Hill and the family, but it's just not there. My family member was given beer when his profile was specifically told no alcohol and he was constantly over medicated. They ignored our family doctor's directives. We were informed that the residents had the freedom to get fresh air and view the lake from the balcony only to be told they don't have time or staff to watch them. Look past the bright new building and shimmering lake and pay attention to how they treat you because it may be a good example of how they treat your loved ones once you leave.

If you are in search for assisted-living for a loved one may I suggest Auburn Hill in Chesterfield County. My 91-year-old mother moved in the end of October and she has been smiling ever since! My six siblings and I really struggled trying to find the right place for mom. Once we visited gorgeous Auburn Hill , Met the staff, took the virtual tour, and did our research, we knew we had found her new home. The staff there is very helpful and most friendly. The food is better than you could ever ask for. The chef prepares 3 outstanding meals every day. My mothers view outside her window is fabulous overlooking the swift creek reservoir. I cant say enough great things about Auburn Hill! Its truly a beautiful friendly new home for mom. Do yourself and your family a big favor and check it out. You wont be sorry. You will be most grateful. Happy New Year and stay well.
January 2021
Auburn Hill has helped make my moms transition to assisted living a very joyful experience EVEN DURING THE PANDEMIC! The staff is bright, cheerful, helpful, considerate, knowledgeable and caring. According to my mom, the food is cooked to perfection and delicious. (I cant wait until I can go eat with her!!) Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!! Lots of choices. And even the gets to know the residents likes and dislikes. The activities- though limited bc of the virus- are very well done, varied and creative. The building, grounds and apartments are GORGEOUS and spacious! My mom overlooks a beautiful lake!! The administration is helpful, respectful and informative. My mom is EXTREMELY happy living here which makes my family feel very blessed.
September 2020
We moved my mom into Auburn Hill in February. We (my siblings and I) could not be happier. My mother has improved with the social interactions that she had been lacking and the staff has been SO attentive and encouraging to her that her physical and mental health has improved since being there. PLEASE consider Auburn Hill for your loved one. I promise that youll be glad that you did.
September 2020
My sister moved into Auburn Hill Memory Care Feb 2020. One month later COVID-19 restricted visitation. The staff takes excellent care of her. Everyone is nice and has a smile. The vibe is calm and relaxing. Hygiene excellent! The meals I ate, as a guest, in Feb, Mar 2020 were all chef quality. Fresh, real food. Activities staff works hard to create a variety of fun activities. Bo, the marketing director, is honest. I had no unpleasant surprises. The first day a caregiver asked me (concerning hygiene),Is there anything you want me to do? WOW! That one question demonstrates the staff commitment. All department managers and Kelly, the executive director are easy to reach. Now with COVID-19 restrictions I am able to visit with my sister outside, six feet apart, both wearing masks. She looks good! It is a beautiful building at a beautiful location.
September 2020
Auburn Hill is phenomenal!! My parents moved in right before Covid hit and they have gone FAR FAR above and beyond to treat them like their own. They have truly become part of the family when we couldnt physically be with them. Would highly recommend the facility and staff!
April 2020
Very kind and engaged staff- working hard to keep resident safe AND happy!!
March 2020
Our family is so grateful that our mother has moved in to Auburn Hill! The staff are so kind, helpful, and keep our mother smiling. We feel assured that she is being given the utmost compassionate care. And we are thankful that, during these unsettling times, these brave health care workers are still coming in, taking care of the most vulnerable of our population. Thank you!
March 2020
Excellent staff - working hard to make the adjustments necessary for each resident. Thank you Bo and Kelly!
