A beautiful and modern facility in a convenient West End location in Richmond. We are so delighted to have found the perfect community for my mother where she is living her best life! All the staff and the residents, have been extremely welcoming. Christy, Director of Sales and Community Relations is the absolute best. She was compassionate and professional, and went out of her way to help walk us through the whole process of making the transition. Our family is so grateful, and we highly recommend this property for your loved ones!

Elance at tuckahoe has such amazing staff especially in the kitchen. Most of the members including the executive chef, Octavia, have made an excellent impression on not only me but the residents as well. The culinary department are quick on their feet and are very kind and thoughtful of everyone around them.

Although the staff are wonderful and kind, there are numerous problems with how the facility is operated. The dining room is consistently running out of food: basics like milk, lettuce and vanilla ice cream. Daily menus offer a special meal and dessert. Again, they consistently run out before meal time ends. Before the facility was bought out by RUI, residents gathered in the entry room to work on puzzles together. These have been removed despite numerous requests to return them. Daily exercise class is held in a room too small to accommodate the residents and there are not enough weights for all who attend. I truly hope that these problems can be addressed quickly and I find it very disingenuous to read 5 star reviews written by staff members.

After visiting several Sr. living facilities throughout the Richmond area, we finally found a home and community that our grandfather loves and is treated with dignity and compassion. Since the day we first toured Elance with him, he has not stopped talking about how wonderful it is. The activities, engagement, dining experience, and most of all feeling like he belongs, gives us and him a great level of comfort. We haven't seen Pops this happy and excited about anything for some time. I would recommend Elance to many of our friends who are in the same position as we were, trying to find that right place for their loved one. The staff have always been welcoming and the fact that they can tell us most anything and everything about him and his life shows compassion, something that's missing in this world today.

I have visited MANY senior living communities in RVA and am consistently impressed with Elance at Tuckahoe. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with kindness and a smile by staff but also residents. I often see residents hanging out in the various community spaces engaged in different social activities...living life the way they want too! Elance at Tuckahoe offers a variety of great amenities but their dedication to ensuring their residents feel loved, safe and engaged is paramount. No community is perfect so if you're searching for "the perfect community" you won't find it! But the team at ELT will always listen to your concerns and work with you to remedy and find solutions. Christy goes above and beyond when meeting with families to ensure they are empowered with all the knowledge to make the best decision for their loved one. Even on move in day, she is present and walking families through the process every step of the way. Thank you team ELT for all that you do for your residents and their families! After my parents made the decision to move into Assisted Living, here in RVA near their children, I began looking at different facilities in the Richmond area. I had some knowledge of many of the facilities here already and have nurse friends who are in and out of many of them doing visits to residents. Anthology of Tuckahoe just had the warmest, and kindest feel. Everyone was so friendly and caring, and I loved the environment which was very beautiful quiet and contemporary with gorgeous artwork! I just knew that Anthology of Tuckahoe was the right place for my parents. My mother has truly made some of the best friends and has gotten very involved and participated in a lot of activities. Mom is so happy here!! She raves about the food (I get nightly texts about her dinner and how delicious it was, as we all are foodies!!). The care that my father received was a team effort, and headed up by Dannie , the Director of Nursing. She had nothing but our best interest at heart, and was an advocate for my dad. She effectively communicated with me and advised on best practices which we both agreed on!! I also have to shout out to Felicia, Mykia, John, April, the housekeeper on 2nd floor, and other caregivers that have been so kind, supportive and loving to my mom since dad passed. Yes, there have been glitches, and some issues but they jumped on them, and have remedied those little situations which are called "growing pains". I am so happy that I chose Anthology of Tuckahoe for my parents!! I must mention the friendly front desk staff like Kaitlyn, Michelle, administrators Jodi, Lynn, and the new Director, Leslie, who we are super excited about and has already implemented change for the best for the residents. She listens to their voices and then implements! THEIR BOTTOM LINE GOAL IS TO PLEASE AND MAKE ANTHOLOGY THE BEST!! Residents are not just a number but part of the Anthology Family. I could not be happier that I can rest assured and not worry knowing mom is in the perfect place for her! (Sorry for any names misspelled).
