My wife and I had the pleasure of touring the Chamberlin yesterday with Genista Duran, the Director of Sales and Marketing. It was a great experience! Genista was a fantastic tour guide! She did a wonderful job! The Chamberlin seems to be a great place to live. Everything you need is there. All of the staff were very friendly and courteous. All of the residents that we encountered during the tour "loved living there". We also dined at the Bistro for lunch. Very tasty food and excellent service! When the time is right for my wife and I, we will definitely put the Chamberlin at the top our list! Thanks again to Genista! She's a gem!

My husband and I visited The Chamberlain this past Saturday and the staff and residents were extremely cheerful and welcoming. Their greetings and smiles were freely expressed from the sales team to the housekeeping staff. We are in the research phase of finding the right community for us and Genista Duran is the absolute best advocate for seniors.

Served as a soldier twice at Fort Monroe. When the time came to downsize and live in a safe community there was only one choice. After 3 wonderful years it is still the only choice. The staff pamper us while they give us our space. During a recent epic snow storm all the senior staff reported to work. They fed us and made sure we were all accounted for. Sidewalks were shoveled. The Chamberlin is the place to be in your senior years! Susan & Tony

What a lovely place The Chamberlin is! It's charm, breathtaking views and unique floor plans really stand out from other independent living communities. Jennifer, Chamberlin's ED was incredibly kind and patient with my mom during our tour. She knew her each and every resident and staffer by name and had the warmest personality we've ever encountered. My mother even made a comment that it was evident that Jennifer loves what she does! We spent nearly two hours talking with residents and learning about the wonderful amenities that await prospective residents. My mom can't stop talking about how much she loved The Chamberlin, and I couldn't agree more. I'm hopeful my mom can call The Chamberlin home in the near future!

The building is beautiful, however, the concierge is rude, unprofessional and aggressive. I visited the Chamberlin on October 27, 2024 and a woman on the staff was so hateful, I felt physically threatened. I cannot imagine living there if the staff is that mean-spirited. Be careful, if you choose this community.

The food was extremely bland for the price. Prime Rib didn’t have any flavor. The Omelette was very good! The Salmon not an ounce of seasoning. The vegetables no seasoning. For the price they charge the food could definitely be tasty. The beverage options was extremely limited as well. I brought a large party there to try it and unfortunately we were not pleased.The view was nice

What a beautiful waterfront community! I had the pleasure of enjoying Easter Brunch this weekend and the food and the service were outstanding. The staff I encountered from the front door reception, to the hostesses, to the waitstaff were so all so friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great brunch experience.

Well, it was our anniversary so we wanted brunch. A friend recommended, so we went. Meeting the host Nadine was very warm and welcoming. Now the staff after her, cold and uninviting. Our waitress never told us what was available since they have various stations. Desert, seafood, omelet, waffle and carving stations along with the buffet. My friend also mentioned 2 mimosas came with the brunch. Our waitress never mentioned it, so I asked. Of course she said yes. The next warmest person,next to Nadine, was the omelet lady. That's what I jokingly called her. She smiled as though she enjoyed what she could produce. The omelet was good as well as the waffles. Our waitress did mention the waffles were delicious. Overall, it was ok with thumb sideways 50/50. I may not return. But, you may enjoy it but I wouldn't recommend it. Wasted a $100.

Buffet had a wonderful variety of breakfast and lunch foods, Belgium waffles made to order were good. Oysters Rockefeller was good. Very professional and friendly staff. My only issue was food was cold and I definitely missed the live piano player that was so nice while having brunch.

What a spectacular place to visit with friends, family. Service was excellent. Parking was very close. Food was terrific. We reserved another day on our way out. It never felt crowded & i enjoyed chatting with the residents. A fabulous event.

I toured The Chamberlain (55+ community) with Nicole's friendliness and it went well above my expectations. Having lived on Ft Monroe while on active duty & gone inside the Chamberlain when it was still a hotel, I'm VERY happy it was restored & is being preserved respectfully for a community of seniors that appreciate it as they age in the best retirement community I've yet visited during my search for a retirement place to call home. It's pricey but it's well WORTH it!

The Chamberlain is my dream home. It's the place I would love to wake up every morning to take a stroll along the boardwalk overlooking the Cheaspeake Bay. I have had the pleasure of eating at one of the restaurants for Sunday brunch and at can bare witness to the best foods that will satisfy anyone's appetite. The view over the Cheaspeake Bay is priceless. With Fort Monroe as her home, tenants have access to its beach, boat docks, fishing, bicycling trails, museums, and much more.

I haven't been inside, but I walk along the seawall often. This place looks amazing. It has outdoor seating. Great views. Lots of history a museum, historical walking tours, fishing and the beach!
