I came in as a relief staffer for the day. The residents are lovely. The staff is family oriented and love there clients in overload mode. I will visit again soon.

My parents had bought into an expensive "life plan" at a facility in Richmond that didn't deliver as promised. They were basically left in a hospital type room to die. I wish I were exaggerating, but it happens to be the truth. I was blessed to find The Gloucester House and thrilled that my parents agreed to make the move. They walked away from a huge financial investment and never looked back! Me? I can finally sleep at night knowing that they're being taken care of by a loving staff. My Dad is a foodie and calls me every Thursday to remind me that Friday is "Pancake Friday" and Charlotte doesn't mind if he has apple and blueberry. Hearing his excitement and happiness makes my heart smile. He enjoys the activities and has told me numerous times how much he likes living at The Gloucester House. Mom is a stroke victim and was being spoon fed 5 weeks ago at her old facility. Last week she painted a picture, played Bingo, and went on a sight seeing bus ride! She is walking again and hasn't missed a beat! The staff at The Gloucester House is responsible for all her progress and getting her will to live back. I highly recommend The Gloucester House for anyone looking for a loving environment for their loved ones. It is clean, the people are great, and apparently the food is fantastic!

I dont know where to begin to express our gratitude and Love for Everyone at Gloucester house. The staff is just amazing. They care so deeply for the residents and the residents families as well. Since my Mom has been there she has come alive. Prior to covid she was so active especially for her age of 96 young! Then she lost social contact and her church services. It really took a toll. She started to give up I think. She was falling and we knew it was time as she was getting hurt now. It was a hard choice to make for everyone but especially Mom. Mom has truly come alive again and just Loves the activities and everything about Gloucester house. The staff works hard to please all the residents and keep them busy. We are happy because we know in our hearts it was the right place for our Mother, and she is happy which is most important.

We put my mom in the Gloucester House for what was supposed to be a short stay and she loved it so much she decided she wanted to stay there long term. They provide her great care and she absolutely loves the food there. She is always saying the nursing staff takes really good care of her and is always friendly. They provide her with a wide variety of activities to keep her entertained but also provide her with a very relaxing environment for when she just wants to rest. Every third Wednesday they have a family night where families can come in and eat dinner with their loved ones. My family goes to eat with my mom on all of these and the chef there always provides a fantastic dinner. For us it feels like the perfect opportunity for a family reunion once a month. It makes our whole family feel great knowing that our mom has such good care there and she really loves it. She even gets her hair done by the beauty salon there. All the staff there works together to make the entire process very pleasant. All aspects were great, from the sales and marketing director getting all the details to the nursing staff following through and providing the great care. Chef Andre for provides her with fantastic meals, the activities director for provides fantastic entertainment and the executive director keeps it all together. I highly recommend the Gloucester House to anyone that wants to make sure your love ones are well taken care of, respected and loved in there senior years.

This is a great place to work. Ive become very close with my residents, and treat them like my grandparents. My grandmother actually stayed here when I started working here. I had no question she would be cared for when I wasnt there. I always love the stories the residents tell and its amazing the kind of lives they lived. The staff is a great team to work with.

We needed emergency assistance for a family member. Stacy, Stephanie, Cathy, Ashley and so many other staff members helped our entire family. While transition and change might be difficult, the staff at Gloucester House held all of our hearts with sincere compassion.

This is such a warm and bright community. The associates and residents look genuinely happy and engaged. This place definitely breaks the mold of "old folks home" and feels more like a progressive and loving family serving the greatest generation! It's a must see in the Northern Neck of Virginia.

My father was in Gloucester House for about 16 months. He was in the assisted living side before moving to the cottage. He received excellent care. The cottage staff were wonderful. When he passed, they cried with us and showed us so much care and love. I would recommend Gloucester House to anyone looking for a place to care for their elderly loved one.
