This message is for any other families who are looking for an ideal placement for their loved ones. I was devastated and filled with guilt over the decision to move my loved one into a facility. To be honest I was difficult and very fussy due to my over protectiveness. First of all I was not going to believe just what the brochures said. I did my due diligence. I asked local care workers who had worked there and work there as substitutes what it was really like behind the scenes. I researched heavily in spoke to multiple individuals. Every single previous, past and present person working with Bickford only had wonderful things to say About the facility and about how well the residents are cared for. The one question I always ask is would you want to be in that facility and would you want your loved one there? Every single one of them said that is a place they would want their loved ones to go or where they would want to go personally if they needled care. To me that says quite a lot. During my aunts stay there are family was overwhelmed with the attentive kindness my aunt was shown. I absolutely recommend Bickford for anyone looking for quality and loving care for their loved one. Amanda Jett went above and beyond what any reasonable person could ask for. I dont know what her job title is, but I think it should be saint after all she did to make the process, paperwork and emotional aspects easier. She walked us through every step with the kindness and patience, even going so far as to help arrange health screening appointments and more. Note she did all of this while helping steer me through mountains of guilt and tears at leaving my beloved Aunt in someone elses care. Her responsiveness and being readily available to answer any any all questions or requests is the key reason I can honestly tell you Bickford is the place where you will know your loved one will be truly cared for, not simply housed or taken care of. Amanda is amazing, and I could not imagine going through this process without her help and guidance.

I was hesitant to place mom in any type of care facility until I found Bickford. The staff is caring and compassionate with the residents and the family of the residents. Mom has received exceptional care and feels at home at Bickford. It is comforting to know that mom is safe and well cared for.

Bickford Staff is amazing! During this pandemic they strive to keep their residents safe and still engaged with appropriate activities. They also offer the family of the resident piece of mind knowing that their loved ones are well taken care of.

We have been coming to Bickfords to visit Mom for 2 years now. Wonderful place! Looking out for their residents and their safety at all times providing appropriate activities and events. The staff at Bickford is wonderful. They all work together as a team & go out of their way to help you. My mother just passed away there. We brought in hospice & the Bickford staff worked well with them. I am so impressed with Bickford. I have decided to volunteer there a few hours a week. I thank God for Bickford every day.

Bickford stands well above the other assisted living and memory care communities that we have experienced in the Fredericksburg area. The Director and staff are very devoted to providing excellent care for residents and the caregivers always had a very sweet and positive attitude toward the residents - makes a huge difference for residents and families! The setting is very much like a modern, cozy home and not a noisy chaotic environment like larger assisted living places. Nothing but praise for Bickford. They took great care of my dad.

This is an extremely beautiful Assisted Living Center for the elderly ever! The staff is great and the residents are awesome!! The Alpha Alpha Alpha Zeta Fredericksburg Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with the residents at Bickford and giving back by serving our Fredericksburg Area community!
