This facility is just lovely. The decor and location are great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Programming is robust. Snacks and drinks are constantly available. The dining room is open 11 1/2 hours daily with a robust menu of daily and special offerings. My dad has been there for <6 months and is very happy.

This was a very informative and enlightening symposium! I never thought I'd be so captivated by Alzheimer's treatments, but Dr. Pauldurai made it very interesting and easy to understand! Thank you so much for a great networking experience! One of the best yet!

My father is very happy here. He is clean and well taken care of. The food is delicious. We get to have meals with him in the dining room. I recommend the Kensington !

I have been working with The Kensington FC since 2020. They made the transition to getting both parents into the residence seemless, as it was an overwhelming time for me. Then when my father passed away, helped me transition my mother to another floor requiring different care, all if this during Covid. I feel like she is well taken and I don't have to worry about her on a daily basis. I have seen the same staff taking care of her, over the years. They know her well, and call me if there are any changes with mom. I have recommended The Kensington to many

The Mother's Day tea was a lovely and thoughtful event!

My mother is a resident at The Kensington and we would highly recommend it. The staff is incredible, the community is warm and welcoming, and the care she receives is fantastic. Just a few of the long list of things to love about The Kensington: 1. They really do care 2. You will never get a "that's not my job answer" from any staff member. If they don't know they will find someone who does. Communication within the care team is terrific. 3. They have a fantastic on-site OT and PT team - my mother moved in while she was recovering from a severe break. She is actually getting stronger every day which is amazing. 4. There is a broad range of activities and outings - no matter what your interests, or your loved ones', there is something for everyone. I can't recommend The Kensington enough.

I have been visiting my Sister who has been a resident for a few years now . She is very happy there and lucky to have found a home . The Staff is wonderful , kind , caring, and even the Chef has been cooking special food ( dinners ) for her. . I am very thankful that she is in good hands and that I don't have to worry about her being on her own .

My mom had lived in memory care at The Kensington Falls Church for nearly three years. The environment is lovely, warm, and homelike (although nicer than my home 🙂 and someone else cooks the meals). Most important, the staff from top management to caregivers are helpful, friendly, and kind. They truly care for my mom like family.

We placed my mom at the Kensington almost a year ago. The transition has been extremely smooth due to the attentive care of the Kensington team. The activities, music, and outings keep my mom moving and engaged and she feels cared for and happy.
August 2023
My mom lived in Missouri and my sister and I were looking for a place close by in Virginia where she could move. She was hesitant at first, but now loves her new home. There are so many activities that she can participate in and the staff is very friendly and attentive. She is very happy to have found her new home and we couldn't be happier for her. I highly recommend visiting so you can see for yourself!

I highly recommend The Kensington in Falls Church, VA. My mom moved there six months ago and she absolutely loves it. My family has peace of mind knowing she is in a safe, vibrant & caring home. The staff are always friendly, helpful and respectful. They truly care about the residents. My mom's quality of life has improved greatly since she moved there. She has made a lot of new friends. She's tried many activities including painting, making bracelets, cornhole and bingo. She really enjoys the cinema, listening to live music every evening and her time with the pet therapy dogs. She feels blessed to be there and we are so thrilled she is able to spend her golden years in this high-quality, loving community.

Our family loves the Kensington! My parents moved to the Kensington in April of 2021, when they could no longer live by themselves. The staff at the Kensington helped my parents transition into their new life style with love, patience, respect and kindness. My father passed away shortly after moving into the Kensington and after another difficult adjustment, the staff at the Kensington was exceptional. They know when to listen, when to cry, and most importantly, to support our grieving family . My mother is thriving at the Kensington, and absolutely loves the care and friendships that she has made. The Kensington is part of our family, and we are very grateful to its staff.

The Kensington Falls Church is a beautiful, welcoming community. The thoughtful and caring staff go above and beyond to support the residents and their family members. They make the transition to the community a smooth, positive experience and fill the resident's days with opportunities to engage socially, stay active and enjoy learning. The staff is highly attentive and communicative, sharing both positive experiences and celebrations as well as any concerns that might arise. They are flexible, supportive, and understanding and do everything with the highest levels of care and empathy possible. It brings me so much comfort to know that my parents are in a community where they are truly treated like family. I cannot imagine a better assisted living community.

My family has been very pleased with The Kensington. This was the second memory care home we tried after the first one started to decline. We feel that our loved one is much safer and is receiving a higher quality of care at The Kensington. All the staff, from the move in process to daily care, are extremely welcoming and attentive to both the resident and their family. They have also done a very good job of communicating evolving situations throughout COVID and do so with transparency. Most importantly our loved one is safe, receiving top notch care, and seems to be socializing with the staff and other residents more than ever since the onset of the illness. We are very happy to have The Kensington during this time.
November 2020
My parents have been residents of The Kensington since the fall of 2019. Both in Assisted Living and Memory Care. I was pleased with the excellent care they received before the pandemic. Since the pandemic started, I have been overwhelmed with gratitude for the diligence and sacrifice of the staff at the Kensington. They continued to care for my parents through one of the most frightening times we have ever experienced and I truly don't know what we would have done without them.

My adult children and I are thrilled with the exceptional care my husband receives at the Kensington. The medical, physical therapy, and administrative staff treat him like a beloved family member.

We want to thank The Kensington for providing a safe and welcome haven for our father. Unfortunately, due to family and medical circumstances, we had a rushed transition to move our father from his independent living. What could have been a difficult transition was smoothed by the caring, professional staff. Dad was welcomed to what he thought was a high class hotel. He was treated with kindness, concern, and with the care that he needed given his dementia. The food is excellent. The decor is calming and updated. The security is invisible yet highly effective. The staff are available for consultation and clear communication. We were provided with updates and photos. While it is never easy for the children, we felt reassured knowing that Dad was in the best place where he could be and surrounded by staff who knew and treated him for who he was. We will be forever grateful that Dad enjoyed a safe haven in the 'luxurious hotel' called The Kensington! With appreciation, Daniel, Marc and Miriam Goldstein

My husband was diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia in November 2016 at which time it was recommended we begin our search for an assisted living community with memory care. In early 2018 we visited The Kensington Falls Church and when my husband said "I really like it here" our family, including my son-in-law Guillermo, knew we had found my husband a new "home". When I witness my husband's interaction doing puzzles and assorted activities with his care providers and fellow residents I know he is in good hands. I also received a keepsake from his efforts on Valentine's Day when he made me a lavender soap in the shape of a heart, a gift I will always treasure. To me, this is testimony regarding how well adjusted my husband is and what tremendous support and attention he receives on a daily basis from The Kensington Falls Church leadership, the wellness team and his daily care providers. Our family feels very gratified my husband is residing in such a welcoming environment where he has the love and care of so many. Personally, this gives me, his wife of almost 49 years, tremendous peace of mind. Kathleen

My mom has been at The Kensington for nearly two years. We knew it was the right place from the moment we visited for the first time and were warmly welcomed by staff, most of whom are there two years later. And my mom knew it was right when the nurse visited her on move-in day and we discovered that she had been my dad's favorite nurse 15 years earlier when he needed in-home care! The Kensington truly has a family feel -- residents seem to be just as comfortable in the living and dining rooms as they would in their own homes; the staff are caring, competent, friendly, and fun; and the place is always buzzing with activity and families and friends. We and my mom feel very fortunate that she's living in a lovely place in the middle of FC with wonderful care and support.

My grandma has been staying at the Kensington and it has been such a wonderful experience! I love visiting her from out of town and getting to eat with her and spend time with her there. The staff feel like family, and we know that she is very well taken care of!

Most businesses have high-sounding mission statements nowadays; Kensington Falls Church walks their talk-- they do treat their customers like they would their own family. My parents have lived there for six months. They and I have received caring and friendly personal attention starting with my very first contact with the Customer Relations staff, through the ups and downs of a trial 30-day stay, and on into their now months long residency there. I can't imagine a better place for my parents at this stage in their lives.

I helped place a client at The Kensington and it has been a wonderful decision. This lady has some unique needs, as does everyone, and the staff and systems of The Kensington were all engaged to make her welcome, to maintain her autonomy and dignity, and to provide the utmost opportunity for her health and emotional wellness. Staff are attentive, engaged, personable and unfailingly helpful. Dr. Simmons, Ms. Feather, Brenda, Tonya, and everyone have been superb. When this lady was hospitalized, with no family in the area, both management and staff visited her, and that made a difference. She returned from the hospital with no one doubting that she was home.

While The Kensington specializes in memory care, our family has been delighted with the care for my mom who joined the community this winter after repeated medical hospitalizations out of state. The Kensington saved my mom's life and has given her the chance to grow stronger again. After researching some wonderful area assisted living centers, I found the Kensington to stand out from the start. It felt like a vacation retreat rather than an institution. The staff welcomed us and made her transition easy. They have managed her medical needs as well as her need to feel independent and active. She has benefited so much from the in house physical therapy that she now uses a team member as a personal trainer for fitness. The social programming supports those with memory care needs as well as more active seniors with trips to restaurants, theater, for worship, and even weekly visits to the award-winning Falls Church Farmers Market. Tour and come for their delicious open house brunch to see it for yourself!

My 86-year-old father has been a resident here since April 2017. It is the "Ritz Carlton" of memory care/assisted living facilities inside the beltway. He loves living here, but more importantly, he is safe & well cared for here - something he was not living alone in his home. The facility is first rate, the staff are wonderful/helpful & the food is good too. In addition, my sisters & I appreciate how easy it is for us & our families to visit dad & interact w/ him on many levels. Whether it's joining him for a meal or happy hour, doing a little gardening w/ him on his balcony, joining in an art therapy session, watching a movie together or a football game, listening to live music, or simply visiting w/ him in his room, The Kensington facilitates a welcoming environment. Grandchildren r encouraged to visit as well. My dad gives it a one word review..."terrific!"
