I am 73 years old, have lived at the Hanover Manor Assisted Living facility for over a year and think it is a wonderful place to spend my retirement years! The building is located in Ashland, VA & has been remodeled to provide an attractive, supportive home for about 40 people of varying needs & abilities. The excellent, caring & professional staff make it a very welcoming, safe & desirable facility; they genuinely care for the residents as if they are their own family members! It also has many perks, such as private rooms, 3 meals a day, plus snacks in the dining room; The Activities Room staff provides many different things for the residents to enjoy, such as crafts, puzzles, card games & Bingo games. There are daily exercise classes & nice halls in which to walk when the weather is bad. There are often opportunities to listen to special guests giving informative talks on a variety of topics, as well as opportunities to enjoy a variety of musical acts. Finally, there is a smaller facility on the grounds for people who need extra care & more safety measures. If you want to hear more about this wonderful place, just talk with the residents &/or schedule an appointment with our administrator!
